The magazine says the president is architect of a "new America" amid cultural shifts. How unexpected Posted by: TheQuietMan at December 19, 2012 09:05 AM (1Jaio) 2

I remember when Colin Ferguson gunned down Carolyn McCarthy’s husband and son, and a number of others, on the Long Island RR back in 1993.
Did she ever stop to think that if at least one other person on board that train had been armed, the carnage would have been minimized if not eliminated had someone put a bullet in that particular vermin’s head? No. Of course not. She’s a complete and utter jackass. Either that or a stooge (witting or otherwise) of the left. Posted by: J.J. Sefton at December 19, 2012 09:07 AM (XkWWK) 5

Re: McDonalds and keeping their stores open on Christmas. My daughter works in a bank kiosk in a Wal Mart. They decided they needed to be open on Thanksgiving during all those pre-Black Friday sales. Pure stupid.
She had to go into work. I am of the opinion that stores should stay closed on Thanksgiving and Christmas unless it is a pharmacy in a rotation. We should boycott all stores opening on those day. Obviously disallowing an unqualified candidate from being placed on the ballot is a dumb idea. We need to win an election in an environment where the Media provides a billion dollars per year of free assistance to the opposition candidate.

Obamacare could drive Little Sisters of the Poor out of the US The crux of the matter is a religious exemption that the federal government is expected to make available to Catholic churches, but not to other Catholic institutions. That’s because unlike Catholic parishes and dioceses, the church’s many affiliated schools, charities, religious orders and hospitals don’t discriminate in their hiring or service, often employing staff — and serving people in need — who come from other Christian denominations or from other faiths entirely. “We are not exempt from the Obamacare mandate because we neither serve nor employ a predominantly Catholic population,” Constance added. ”We hire employees and serve/house the elderly regardless of race and religion, so that makes us ineligible for the exemption being granted churches.” http://dailycaller.com/2012/12/19/obamacare-could-drive-little-sisters-of-the-poor-out-of-the-us/ Posted by: beach busy at December 19, 2012 09:16 AM (LpQbZ) 31

The 35-year-old active-duty officer proposed to his boyfriend, Ben Schock, 26, in the Grand Foyer of the White House at the end of a holiday tour. Ridiculous. Yeah, I get it - covering tragedies like this can be very hard, and very emotional. But you know what? You can go home at the end of the day and still hug your family (if you didn't abort your children away) and eat your dinner and go to bed and wake up the next morning and watch TV and see commercials for Toys R Us and NOT immediately think of your dead child. Instead of turning this tragedy into a paparazzi freakshow, how about showing a little respect and dignity and allowing the families of the victims to mourn without a spotlight on them 24/7? Oh, and this quote from the article is rich. "A day that brought the president to tears," intoned WISN-TV (Channel 12) anchor Craig McKee during Friday's newscast. First off, it should bring anyone with a heart to tears. And secondly, those weren't real tears. They were the crocodile tears of a worthless, faithless, soulless, scum-sucking troll. Can't wait to hear how the norks spend this election. For those of you familiar with Korea's history, the new president's mother was killed by NKs (accidently...they were aiming at her husband), and her father (also murdered later) was Pak Chung-hee.
....via Wiki, Pak Chung-hee was a Republic of Korea Army general and the leader of South Korea from 1961 to 1979. Park seized power in a 1961 military coup d'état and ruled as an unelected military strongman until his formal election as the 3rd President of South Korea in December 1963 (a post he held for 16 years). Despite surviving two assassination attempts by agents of North Korea, Park was killed on October 26, 1979 by the chief of his own security services.[1] Wonder what her mother and father would think about this! You know, it just occurred to me that Time magazine is no longer on display at the grocery check-out. Those magazines are now almost exclusively things like Midwest Living, Taste of Home, Paula Deen, People, US, and the tabloids like Globe and National Enquirer.
At one time both Time and Newsweek were always there, right by the checkout. The magazine distributor people put issues there that are likely impulse buys.
