South Carolina state legislators are proposing to nullify Obamacare by enacting criminal penalties for any state or federal official caught implementing it. This is a stupid, unconstitutional idea, as I wrote almost two years ago when nullification first came up in the context of Obamacare, but I bet you a beer these legislators think they're real smart.

It then further obscures the issue by noting that Vickers offered but ultimately didn't arrange a meeting for the filmmakers with a spec ops planner not associated with the UBL raid. But the release doesn't even try to suggest that Vickers had only one meeting with the filmmakers, nor does it directly deny the IG's conclusion that Vickers passed the name of a spec ops planner to the filmmakers.

A while back, someone asked if I knew any Lee Marvin stories. I didn’t at the time, but I dug up a couple recently, so here they are:


Marvin was, as you know, an Olympic-class drinker. During the filming of The Dirty Dozen, he was at a cocktail reception in London, rather the worse for wear. Another one: John Boorman directed Marvin in 1967’s Point Blank. One evening, he and some friends went to dinner with Marvin at an LA restaurant. Grab up all of the ammo you can boys also if you were just toying with the idea of getting a license and or permits do it now, because when the new regs are handed down from the fed, your state is going to stop processing new applications so they can incorporate all of the changes into whatever processes the states have now.

It's going to be a shit show.

Alas - I fear that their most potent work - that of destroying our culture - has already eliminated any hope of restoration. The work needed to fix our nation's horrific problems would takethe kind of ugly work that our kind generally cannot stomach, and lots of it. I think now it's just a count down to the eschaton, and the more time that passes the happier we will be to see this present age pass away. Thus, my allegiance to the LIB faction.

In a recent change to the law one can not own on unless had it before 1986.


Machine guns are also treated differently. In 1986, as part

effect (which was 5/19/86). See 18 USC sec. 922(o) for the law.
Thus as an individual you can only legally own a machine gun that
was registered before that date. Any registered after that date
can only be owned by SOT's, law enforcement, and government
entities.

One time I was playing a violent video game and I realized that about two hours earlier I'd missed doing a thing that it wasn't possible to go back and do now that I'd done some other things, and I'd saved the game after I did all those things, so I'd have to start over to go back and do the thing I missed and it would take like all day to get back to where I was stuck.

In FURY!, I twisted the controller until it made a terrible crunchy sound. It still worked...but I was literally this close to executing a calmly rationalized plot to cut a ditch through a field of babies with an Uzi.

Not many people have enough self-control to stop short like that, when they're under the influence of violent video games.

This is hardly the same thing as "tax scofflaws". This is the State taking action against a blatantly unconstitutional law.
But yes, it will be interesting to see what happens in the State that arrests and charges the first federal official.

California already has a reputation as the nation's toughest gun-control state, but lawmakers are moving quickly to add further restrictions after last week's schoolhouse massacre.

State Sen. Leland Yee, D-San Francisco, vowed Tuesday to reintroduce legislation sidetracked last year that would ban devices allowing ammunition to be reloaded so quickly that semi-automatic weapons can be fired almost like assault weapons.

Yee also promised bills that would penalize Californians who fail to use gun locks they are required to possess, and would mandate that gun owners renew their registrations annually.

Other lawmakers are weighing other possibilities, such as a limit on the quantity of ammunition that can be purchased, or a mandate that lost or stolen firearms be reported quickly to local law enforcement.

State Sen. Kevin de León, D-Los Angeles, proposed Tuesday to require ammunition buyers to purchase annual permits that would cost about $50. The process would include a yearly background check.

The taxpayers borrow money from China and then it is funneled to G.E. and other entities where is is laundered and 10%-15% becomes political donations.
The Seattle Post Intelligencer (surprise, surprise) in 2004 did exhaustive research into the House and Senate showing which spending bills and laws were passed and by whom they were championed, who benefited and how much those representatives and senators received in donations by those benefited or entities tangential to them.
It was almost exactly 10% in all but a handful of cases.

South Carolina state legislators are proposing to nullify Obamacare by enacting criminal penalties for any state or federal official caught implementing it. Here's what Thomas Jefferson had to say on the subject:
