The Dems may try to bring back the idea of a 'Federal Gun Registration'...like they did in 2009, just as Barky took office.
It was Bobby Rush from Chicago, who put forth that Bill.
It didn't get very far.
But that was then...and this is now.
A Federal Gun Registration, as it was proposed...would require every gun owner to apply for a 'Federal Permit' in order for them to legally still own the guns that they already have.
The application for that Federal Permit, required you to list all the firearms that you have in your possession.
Perfect, huh?
That way they can say "permit denied!" and then they would have a list of what firearms you have.
The Dems may try to bring back the idea of a 'Federal Gun Registration'...like they did in 2009, just as Barky took office.

I honestly don't think the Left is going to win on this issue, and if anything it will probably decimate Democrats outside of urban, coastal states in 2014 if they overreach.
Oh, the gun grabbers might get something meaningless like a return to 10 round magazines for semi-automatics, which will accomplish absolutely nothing since there are millions of 100% legal large-capacity magazines, but I don't see a real transformation of our 2nd Amendment rights from this tragedy.
I actually think gun control is one of the few issues americans are actually somewhat "wise". Anyone with a shred of intellectual honesty knows these shooting have everything to do with mental illness and absolutely nothing to do with our gun laws, and I think even the dumb shits in our country get that.

Hmm... So I just read that The Lanzas were originally from NH; Kingston, NH, to be exact. One of the reports I read said that the mother, Nancy Lanza, grew up in a "rural NH town;'" the implication being "backward" and "hickish." Well, it might be rural to non-NHites, but Kingston is right smack dab in the middle of one of the most built up, populous, wealthiest regions in the state, Rockingham County, just a stone's throw from Portsmouth, Salem, Exeter, and the Mass border. By NH standards that ain't "rural."

Worst school mass killing ever was in Bath, Michigan. A nut-job blew up half the school with dynamite and pyrotol. Pyrotol isn't made anymore and dynamite is almost impossible to get....and yet there are still mass murders. Gun control won't do diddly. If someone wants to kill, they will find a way.

One suggestion for burying PVC tubes with guns inside. I think going under a garage slab might work. The metal detectors would pick up the reinforcement of the the concrete. Digging the hole would takemore work, though.
