Susan Rice: I'm Withdrawing My Name From The Nomination Process Because I Don't Want My Hearings Devolving Into Irrelvant, Pointless Political Bickering About Massive Lies I told About Murdered Americans

Andrea Mitchell immediately said that this hurts Republicans, to have forced out a Person of Lying About Terrorism Victims. Other Persons of Lying About Terrorism Victims, you see, will be angry. This further solidifies the impression that Persons of Lying About Terrorism Victims can't get a fair shake from the GOP.

Mitchell really did say that, but about Persons of Color, of course. As if that's the reason for objecting to Rice.

If Obama really wanted a female Person of Color as Secretary of State, he shouldn't have terminated her career by putting her out there to Lie On His Behalf. And Hillary Clinton, too, apparently refused this odious duty.

But let's not blame them, or Rice, for Rice's lies. Let's blame Republicans.

So, here will be the nominees: John F. Kerry for State. Which isn't as bad as Obama's original idea, to make him Secretary of Defense.

And Chuck Hegel for Defense.

Both awful, of course, but we have an awful President, and we are set to have four more awful years.

Two More Points: 1, Rice didn't make this decision, Obama did, and 2, it was made to avoid her answering more questions about the Massive Lies she told the public.

11 A quick overview of Hagel’s record with Israel:

In August 2006, Hagel was one of only 12 Senators who refused to write the EU asking them to declare Hezbollah a terrorist organization.
In October 2000, Hagel was one of only 4 Senators who refused to sign a Senate letter in support of Israel.
In November 2001, Hagel was one of only 11 Senators who refused to sign a letter urging President Bush not to meet with the late Yasir Arafat until his forces ended the violence against Israel.
In December 2005, Hagel was one of only 27 who refused to sign a letter to President Bush to pressure the Palestinian Authority to ban terrorist groups from participating in Palestinian legislative elections.
In June 2004, Hagel refused to sign a letter urging President Bush to highlight Iran’s nuclear program at the G-8 summit.
And here’s what the anti-Israel group, CAIR wrote in praise of Hagel: “Potential presidential candidates for 2008, like Hillary Clinton, John McCain, Joe Biden and Newt Gingrich, were falling all over themselves to express their support for Israel. The only exception to that rule was Senator Chuck Hagel…” [Council on American-Islamic Relations, 8/28/06]

AND:

Former Nebraska Republican Senator Chuck Hagel, on the shortlist for secretary of defense in the second Obama administration, sits on the board of a bank that is under investigation for allegedly violating United States sanctions on Iran.

50 well, this goes to the other thread too. The only way to deal with being completely and utterly defeated by the leftist media is to await events that are too big to be covered up.

Obama unilaterally declaring war in libya, ignoring the War Powers Act, setting up an unguarded gun running operation in Benghazi, and then getting the first ambassador killed in 30 years was not enough.

There were like only 3 events throughout Iraq War that were big enough to break media embargo, so why should the American War be any different?

We'll just have to wait.

78 (Reuters) - Americans have longer, but not necessarily healthier, lives due to high rates of preventable chronic disease, according to an annual report on the nation's health released on Tuesday.

Gains in life expectancy contrast with Americans' unhealthy behaviors, which have led to a 28 percent adult obesity rate, a diabetes rate of nearly 10 percent and a high blood pressure rate of more than 30 percent, according to United Health Foundation's 2012 America's Health Rankings. All three conditions are considered risk factors for cardiovascular disease.

Since 1990, premature deaths have declined by 18 percent, cardiovascular deaths have fallen 35 percent, and cancer deaths have slipped by 8 percent, the report said.

Americans' life expectancy was 78.5 years in 2009, 1.7 years above the level in 2000, the report said.

... maybe we need to revisit the definition of "unhealthy behaviors"

103 Restaurant employee rips troops’ meal discounts
The Associated Press
Posted : Thursday Dec 13, 2012 16:29:12 EST
FAIRBANKS, Alaska — A restaurant manager who said expectations from military members meal discounts are “pathetic” has quit after his Facebook post went viral.

Dusty Westbrook resigned earlier this week from Boston’s The Gourmet Pizza franchise in Fairbanks, which is home to two large military bases.

“I’m sorry YOU signed up for this job you CHOSE to take this filed [sic] YOU picked to work and defend the US I’m sorry you don’t deserve anything,” the post stated.

He also noted other professionals, like police officers and fire fighters, don’t receive similar discounts, the Fairbanks Daily News-Miner reported.

Westbrook didn’t mention Boston’s in the Facebook posting, but his profile did list him as the manager. His Facebook account has since been deleted.

O/T but of utmost import.

Google changed their search algorithm today to make it more difficult to find porn, even if you have safe search set to off.

"We are not censoring any adult content, and want to show users exactly what they are looking for -- but we aim not to show sexually-explicit results unless a user is specifically searching for them. We use algorithms to select the most relevant results for a given query. If you're looking for adult content, you can find it without having to change the default setting -- you just may need to be more explicit in your query if your search terms are potentially ambiguous."

136 It may look like the MFM hold all the card at the moment but they will overplay their hand. They will turn a blind eye to something that even the LIV will not forgive.

Even if a single monumental incident doesn't bring them down a slow erosion of trust will eventually bring it all to an end.

As you have said Ace, what the Right needs to do is build ANOTHER media, not an alternative one, which requires money. Even if a single Republican donor cannot set aside that much money why not a consortium?

If ABCBSNBCNNYTLATWP are now open about their partisanship then surely Republicans have a right, no, a duty, to set up their own.

Fox is not part of the conservative media, it's simply run by people who want to make money.

180 When are we going to learn? Everything these assholes do is either misdirection to keep talking heads distracted, an attempt to undermine some part of this society we've generally held sacred, or a political game to make Republicans look bad. This one, from the beginning, was all three.

I know this is a dead thread but... I heard a reporter say something like: McCain is racist because he opposes Susan Rice's nomination, because when Condi Rice was up for nomination he urged Senate Democrats to okay her nomination without bickering and ugliness.

I mean, that's a paraphrase, but it was, literally, the same exact sentence he called McCain a racist for opposing one black woman and supporting another.

cognitive dissonance, how does it work?

I wouldn't be surprised if John Kerry was the real choice all along. Susan Rice was just to make him look good by comparison and also to be able to hang more racist/sexists labels on the Repubs.
