She just got a call from her youngest son that he is shipping out for Parris Island tomorrow morning, and not later this month like they told him. We were planning a going away party for him this weekend, but now that's totally blown up. She didn't think they would change the date again since they've had 3 or 4 "false alarms" before. Tonight is going to be rough on her. He has to report to the processing station tonight to prepare for tomorrow morning, almost right after the both of us get off from work. That means no time for a nice dinner or spending some time with him before he has to go. Shit...

Ummm... anything combustible under sufficient pressure is a "dangerous explosive," which includes oil. This would be why cars can explode in accidents. Oil also requires refining to be useful, where nat gas does not.

Add in the facts that nat gas is more plentiful and cleaner burning (AGW notwithstanding, cars stink), and I think we've got ourselves a winner.

62 How the fuck have we gotten to where we are?

Because too many of us are afraid. This is the reason why all of those white voters stayed home on November 6 (assuming voting wasn't tampered with). Enough whites were frightened at the prospect of riots, assaults, or my God, being called intolerant on Facebook. Hell, any black person who openly supported Romney was risking their life and their livelihood.

Because it's to the point that if I criticize the President openly, it's treated as if I just uttered The Most Horrible and Unspeakable Word in the English Language.

Enough people who belonged to or were sympathetic to the Tea Party were intimidated by the non-stop depiction of them as looney bin types.

I could go on but at this point, I advise everyone to figure out how they can profit from the decline of this country. Study Chicago, and figure out what kind of business works there (Italian Beef and Deep Dish excepted).

50 plus years of being ignorant (willfully or not) of the creeping Sharia of leftism through our free society.

Soon we will, to paraphrase W., abandon all the principles we stood for and do things to save the very Constitution and culture that are antithetical to those methods.

I posted this yesterday.

Some analysis

2012 Budget: 3.9 Trillion

2012 Taxes: 2.5 Trillion

2012 deficit: 1.4 Trillion

Taxes need to rise 36% on all brackets to cover deficit.

The top two tax brackets would need to rise 90% the other brackets could be left unchanged.

The 33% would become 62% and the 35% would become the 67% tax brackets.

A

person making $178,650 would see their tax burden rise from $58,954 to

$110,763 his after tax income would fall from $117,696 to $67,887 and

that is before the states get through with him.

A person making

$388,350 would see their tax burden rise from $135,992 to $260,328 his

after tax income would fall from $252,358 to $128,022 and that is before

the states get through with him.

You would still not have a surplus. You would just break even.

------------------------------

Federal Debt: 16 Trillion

If taxes are raised 45% on all brackets to 4.6 Trillion you would have a surplus of 700 billion

The top two tax brackets would need to rise 125% the other brackets could be left unchanged.

The 33% would become 74% and the 35% would become the 79% tax brackets.

A

person making $178,650 would see their tax burden rise from $58,954 to

$132,201his after tax income would fall from $117,696 to $46,449 and

that is before the states get through with him.

A person making

$388,350 would see their tax burden rise from $135,992 to $306,954 his

after tax income would fall from $252,358 to $81,396 and that is before

the states get through with him.

It would take 23 years to pay off the debt.

You would have also enslaved and destroyed the productive class.

This is not really hard to explain or make anyone understand.

Our leaders are not leaders they merely look for political advantage.

Remember
the fiscal cliff was Boehners grand bargain because he did not want to
fight the debt ceiling battle. He mad the calculus that Obama would lose
the election, he calculated wrong. Now he does not want to fight or
argue principles over the fiscal cliff, he is going to make another
grand bargain whereby he loses now to win later.

WE HAVE SEEN THIS ONE BEFORE!
WE NEVER WIN LATER!

2- Turn the entire Middle East into a free fire zone
3- Spurn our biggest ally, Israel
4- Support an Islamic Fascist dictator in Egypt
5- Deny our embassy additional military support
6- Have blood on your hands for the death of four Americans including an ambassador
7- Stonewall the investigation into the deaths of four Americans

You now qualify to be President.

Congratulations.

They are the ravings of a madman. He seriously makes the argument that military heraldry, since it dates back to the Crusades, and Crusaders would be considered an extremist group today, is an impermissible and illegal action by the United States government. And he sends emails to the Chain of Command up to and including the Superintendent (who is a 3 star) saying that they need to pull down military crests in order to be in compliance with the law. That the Chain of Command ignores his ravings is, to him, proof that they are complicit in this "crime."

A funny global warming story.

Monckton mocks UN Climate Conference

The microphone was just in front of me. All I had to do was press the button. I pressed it. The Chair recognized Myanmar (Burmese for Burma). I was on.

On behalf of the Asian Coastal Co-operation Initiative, an outfit I had thought up on the spur of the moment (it sounded just like one of the many dubious taxpayer-funded propaganda groups at the conference), I spoke for less than a minute.
Quietly, politely, authoritatively, I told the delegates three inconvenient truths they would not hear from anyone else:

-- There has been no global warming for 16 of the 18 years of these wearisome, self-congratulatory yadayadathons.

-- It is at least ten times more cost-effective to see how much global warming happens and then adapt in a focused way to what little harm it may cause than to spend a single red cent futilely attempting to mitigate it today.

-- An independent scientific enquiry should establish whether the U.N.'s climate conferences are still heading in the right direction.

Ahaha, kudos to Lord Monckton!

If you have a good head on your shoulders you can make it through any school unscathed. You may even open the eyes of some of the dipshit classmates.

I went to a very liberal school and took poli sci. I'm fine. In fact, by arguing conservatism, but not calling it that, I had quite a few converts.

U.S. Government Lends $105M to Brazil—to Build Aquarium

(CNSNews.com) - The U.S. Export-Import Bank, an agency of the federal government, is lending $105 million to the Brazilian state of Ceara to help build an aquarium in its capital city of Fortaleza.

lends?

$105 million?

The bank says the $105 million loan for the project will "finance the export of American good and services" for construction of the aquarium.

didn't know this "bank" existed

In May, President Barack Obama signed legislation to reauthorize the Export-Import Bank through fiscal 2014, increasing its financing authority from $100 billion to $140 billion.

Another back door left wide open.

The Import/Export Bank has existed for quite a while. Yes, it is almost certainly unconstitutional.

There
has been a historic shift in the UN climate talks in Qatar, with the
prospect of rich nations having to compensate poor nations for losses
due to climate change.

... but if you look at the Copenhagen Accords, it was more than compensation for damage from climate change.

The Copenhagen Accords are an international industrial policy statement.
The compensation is really a payoff to the Third world not to develop
and challenge the First and Second World’s position. To prove this
point, look at who doesn’t want to sign aboard .. China and India.

The problem is that there will never be enough money to keep the Third World as the Third World .. to keep them undeveloped.

Doha has proven this point.

178 It is so easy to dislike this South Korean rapper, Psy:

1. Delivers an America insulting and hating rap song
2. Delivers an "I'm sorry if anyone was offended" non-apology so as to secure a career boosting (presumably) appearance with The One
3. Puts on display his total pussitude at not having the courage to stand up for what he wrote and performed in #1 above.

Cowardly and stupid is no way to go through life. Thankfully his 15 seconds is nearly expired.

180 I gotta ask ... is this Let it burn conservatism simple fiscal small government personal responsibility and liberty conservatism, or "I want the government to protect me from the EEEVVVUUULLL gay marriage, limit contraceptives, earth is young, evolution is a conspiracy of 'Darwinists' " and other socon pablum?

If its the former, sign me up.

If its the latter, no interest. The sooner that element is gone, the better.

This is the defining moment if you think about it. We can have real fiscal conservatism, or not.

As a small business guy, I am watching, with abject horror, as my taxes are about to go through the roof to support all this crap people voted themselves. I am watching in terror as Obamacare starts winding up all my costs. I have a profound fear of the fiscal cliff ATOP all these other things that are going to hit us hard.

I will do my best to ride this out. To hire more people. To grow my business.

I will do my best to ride out the sudden loss of liquidity for small business. Oh yes, it is going away, drying up fast. Many of our suppliers are demanding cash up front for purchases now.

I will do my best to keep people working.

Yet if I cannot, I will make sure they, and everyone else, knows why.

So lets go over the cliff. The government needs to stop spending so damned much. It needs to decide what is important and what is not. Like a small business with a fixed budget.

It needs to make the hard choices. Sometimes, the only way to get to the hard choices is to get to the point where no one wants to lend us more money.

Its time to let that happen. With QE running the presses at full speed, no one wants our debt. Its time to get that explicitly stated.

While this all is going on, if we are having discussions on gay marriage, illegal aliens, contraception, creationism, ... then we fail. In the most epic manner possible.

So, lets not fail. Lets focus upon the hard core fiscal conservatism. Lets let this burn, the right way. Not 'add' to it with useless things that distract from the message, and generally turn our potential allies off.
