In 2008, Watts announced he was developing a cable news network with the help of Comcast, focusing on a black audience,[42] and that he considered voting for Barack Obama, criticizing the Republican party for not practicing outreach to the black community.[43] Reports showed he contributed to John McCain, but not to Obama.[44]”

If the Canuckstanis find out you're from the States, you probably won't have to pay for beer. The Grey Cup is a great party. Alas, my aunt, who is in her early 70s, gets hit on by men half her age. confound you! I googled it myself -- I was half right. J.C. Watts, a former Oklahoma congressman who once was part of the GOP House leadership, said he's thinking of voting for Obama. Watts said he's still a Republican, but he criticizes his party for neglecting the black community. Black Republicans, he said, have to concede that while they might not agree with Democrats on issues, at least that party reaches out to them. "And Obama highlights that even more," Watts said, adding that he expects Obama to take on issues such as poverty and urban policy. By that, I assume you mean you're going to continue to fund the destruction of our country by watching the NFL on the MSM networks... because it's not your job to make sacrifices for the good of our country. You're job is to bitch about it and do nothing else. I got a set of BD tool that use the 18 V battery- they don't last forever, but they have really worked exceptionally well for me over a long time (12+ months). I also got a little Ryobi power screwdriver what is still holding up pretty well and it has been extremely useful for working in tight spaces. Problem is that replacement battereis cost almost as much s the tools.
I intend to try the power recycling charger trick on some of the BD batteries. Thanks for the tip. Posted by: Hrothgar - LIB or SMOD (for the Children) at December 02, 2012 04:31 PM (Cnqmv) Posted by: beach & a kindle at December 02, 2012 04:31 PM (LpQbZ) 335
I'll try that Albie. Worth a try before I spend 50 bucks.

I intend to try the power recycling charger trick on some of the BD batteries. Thanks for the tip. I'll have to remember that trick, too. I inherited a bunch of tools from B'Gal's Dad a few years ago, among them was a nearly new Milwaukee hand drill, 12V. I swear that thing has enough torque to start a car. I love power tools that you have to work with both hands. Power is good. Posted by: BackwardsBoy, who did not vote for this shit. at December 02, 2012 04:36 PM (yiIja) 342
I would bet that most of the men here find intelligence rather attractive.
For years I've wondered why my son never got serious with a girl -- he's low 30's. The girls/women I'd see him with were pretty much okay. Met his new g/f at Thanksgiving. Working on her doctorate within the year. I saw her notes in spare bedroom, formula's that I had no clue about, and I'm kinda good at that stuff. She eats right, exercises, has a very decent shape, and a brain. He's toast. It's not a question of if, but when. Smart is very, very sexy to smart guys. >>I love power tools that you have to work with both hands. Power is good. Heh! I almost broke my freaking wrist with a 24v Milwaukee that I borrowed. That thing was awesome Posted by: Albie Damned at December 02, 2012 04:39 PM (Yhu4q) Posted by: Peaches at December 02, 2012 04:39 PM (kpCLl) 345

That's a feature, not a bug. It's the same business model as shaving razors, where you take a loss on the shaver, to make a bundle selling blades. #313 irongrampa wrote, "I'd love it if somebody would make a 9v battery for power tools that didn't crap out in 3 months. No one has yet in my experience." See my answer above. They make their money selling you the batteries. Why would they want to limit their profit margin by selling you a long-lasting battery? That game took place last weekend in Toronto. Would have been a good game, if someone had thought to remind the Calgary Stampeders that they were there to play football. But the half-time show, which was on the big screen in the restaurant where I was dining; it sucked mightily. Posted by: Alberta Oil Peon at December 02, 2012 04:51 PM (pFqpP) 350
They're doing a lifetime warranty on gand tools. I
have a storage shed full of power tools I got from there ten years ago that I expected to be disposable but they still work. I had to buy a couple of dozen 18 volt cordless drills for assembly (not a whole lot of torque). I paid like $15.00 bucks a piece for them. I've also spent a few hundred on Makitatools that would crap out after a year Posted by: Albie Damned at December 02, 2012 04:13 PM (Yhu4q) Yeah, I had that problem. Went in with a broken cold chisel, and they took one look at me and said, "Well, there's your problem. You have hands. We sell "gand" tools." Boy, was I embarrassed. I'm stunned actually. They are not a playoff team but at least they beat they split with the f'ing Ravens. Now if they would just stop losing to shitty NFL teams (Browns??)maybe this season will go somewhere. Posted by: puddleglum at December 02, 2012 07:34 PM (uEspB) 354

Bob Costas on NBC sports half time Cowboys, Phillies. game repeats the nonsensicalBS of a nitwit sports write, that if only there was more gun control the deranged thug would be alive. Yes and the Mother of his child would be alive also. The mind of a prog,a mysteryof unbound stupidity.
