Actually I meant his cowardice is only rivaled by his idiocy. They race around in his head like stock cars on a track, each trying to take the lead and many times crashing into each other. Drunken political gumby needs to take a position and then tell us what it is so we can help him fight for it or tell him we disagree with it.

21 $15 dollars an hour for a fast food job

I remember as a kid of 16 working three part time jobs while in high school. One putting bottles on an assembly line, one cleaning a factory, and another pumping gas into ~1,000 cars a day at a car wash on weekends. Gas was so cheap back then that if you bought 20 gallons you got a free car wash, or it was prorated -- so everyone wanted gas. Four pumps at a time for eight hours while the line of cars snaked 1,000 feet up the road. It was all kids who worked there... a bottomless supply. One quit, the same afternoon he was replaced. Anyway, we had some comedians from my school that worked there and a huge black guy with no teeth that kept us all in line. A friend started talking up, as they dried the cars, forming a union -- the UAW -- or United Auto Washers. It was a joke, but he said it right in front of the huge black guy. By the next week everyone was gone, replaced, except the huge black guy and me. I suspect because it woulda taken two people to replace me.

And every erstwhile Republican and faux conservative poseur who stayed home and didn't vote this year cast a de facto ballot in Obama's favor.

- "Buffet Didn't Always Like Taxes"

Watching Buffett at this stage of his disintegration is like watching a punch drunk Ali getting pummeled by Trevor Berbick. Sad. Just sad. The greatest investor of all time and one of the greatest businessmen of all time now reduced to being an airheaded liberal hack.

- "Time To Ditch The Dollar"

Not the Canadian or Australian Dollars, ironically enough. As for the Greenback, yeah, the long-term prospects indeed are quite grim. Precious metals and commodities are the long-term play.

- "EU Unemployment Hits Record High"

The New Republic’s Noam Scheiber reports that “a Romney aide provided the campaign’s final internal polling numbers for six key states, along with additional breakdowns of the data, which the aide obtained from the campaign’s chief pollster, Neil Newhouse. The numbers include internal polls conducted on Saturday, November 3, and Sunday, November 4, for Wisconsin, Pennsylvania, Minnesota, Iowa, Colorado, and New Hampshire.

According to Newhouse, the campaign polled daily, then combined the results into two-day averages. In New Hampshire, the final internal polling average has Romney up 3.5 points, whereas he lost by 5.6. In Colorado, the final internal polling average has Romney up 2.5 points; he lost by 5.4.”

Thing of it is is when they lose, the nation goes on as before prosperous and relatively free (despite the Leviathan). They're depressed because their plans to destroy us have been forestalled.

When we lose, we lose more and more of our freedom. And this time it will be at break-neck speed, with the emphasis on break-neck. The depression is based in real danger.

Welcome aboard the wagon! As a woman, I've known this about my fellow women for quite some time. This particular election cycle merely crystallized my loathing for the majority of my gender. It's to the point that I'd like to start referring to myself as something other than "a woman," because I appear to have so little in common with the so-called "women" in this damn country anymore.

No, you're talking about Gustav Krupp Von Bollen Und Hallbach. He was Married to Betha and took over after Fritz Krupp committed suicide.
Alfred is the one who turned the company into what it was. He was born in 1812. He then gave the company to his son Fritz Krupp who committed suicide in 1903 when it was found out he was diddling little boys. The company then went to Bertha in 1903 and her husband Gustav ran it until it was given to their son Alfried Krupp. Alfried was the Nazi. He's the one who designed the 88mm.

I have never been a fan of the flat tax, but I propose the following:

Repeal the income tax, at both federal and state levels. Then make a sales tax on both federal and state levels. Even make it tiered if you want to: say 25% for lower income, 30% for middle income, 50% for high income. It has to be significantly high enough that the "takers" suffer too.

Increasing the income tax doesn't affect people who don't actually HAVE incomes. And, I don't want to wait around until the Free Stuff train gets derailed....that could be too long a wait. But, when Mr. FoodStamp and Mrs. Obamaphone go out to buy their big screen tv and xbox and Dre Beats headphones, they will pay a premium and they will feel it.

I am more than willing to take up such a cross so that this recession reaches everyone in our country. The Gimme Gimme crowd needs to feel the pain of the recession, just as much as the rest of us do.

I saw Sen. Mark R. Warner (D-Va) on CNN (I think) the other night.

Warner said that the President hopes to get $1.0 trillion in “savings” from the income and capital gains taxes on the rich.

Warner went on to say that he thought they needed $1.8 trillion in “savings.”

Let’s get real here. When you’re running $1.0 to $1.4 trillion
deficits, even adjusting for hopeful growth, they need at least $8.0
trillion in “savings.” This “fiscal cliff” really only generates about
$4 trillion in “savings,” so I say “over the cliff.” They don’t have a
down payment on a down payment.

These guys remind me of that old stereotypical joke about who the first owners of Cadillac-s are, until the car is repossessed.

And President Obama did sign the legislation that put the “fiscal
cliff” in our path to the future. Hey, what could be so bad for
Democrats than going back to the tax levels of Bill Clinton ? And those
cuts .. yeah, a great way to transfer blame for the $700 billion in
“promised savings” in the ACA that Democrats passed to the Republicans
who will actually make good on $400 billion in “actual savings.”

125 Alabama Football Fan Gets Two Years In Jail For Teabagging An LSU Fan

This is just another reason why you couldn't pay me to attend a sporting event, be it professional or collegiate. Heck, given the bad behavior of a lot of parents and coaches, I wouldn't even go to a high school or Peewee league game unless I was forced to do so by circumstances of familial requirement.

---

Know anything about this story?

The LSU fan in question was passed out drunk in a Krystal hamburger franchise at the corner of Canal St. and Bourbon St. which is quite a few blocks from the Superdome where the game took place.

It's a combination of the LSU fan being stupid for drinking WAY too much after a pathetic showing in the title game by his team and the Alabama fan in question for being terminally stupid by doing it *in public* and in front of people who took a video of it and posted it to the Internet.

135 I think the meme that "Obama won" and "Romney lost" women is kind of deceiving, as well as calling women needy and only out for abortions and things like that.

Per the exit polls, the largest gender/sex voting block was white women, and Romney won white women. He won women of all classes and races over the age of 45. Romney won independent women. He won upper middle class and upper class women. He was pretty much tied when it came to standard middle class. Taking out the Latino vote, he won Catholic women quite handily.

So, the women that Romney did lose, I think was more of an ethnic issue, a cultural issue, a racial issue. He lost the women he was going to lose anyway. It gives this false narrative that women overwhelmingly supported Barack Obama when that is not really the case. Blacks who happened to be women supported him. Latinos who happened to be women supported him.

No, Obama didn't win women. He won racial minorities that happened to be women, which factored into the total numbers. And, no, women should not be reflected as such.

That's the point though. Both of these fans were exceedingly, mind-numbingly STUPID. And stupidity mixed with gallons of alcohol is a recipe for a miserable time, IMO. But then, I'm borderline teetotaler, so YMMV. I just don't see how it's any fun to go to a game to be surrounded by loud drunks who scream profanity or else bark and holler like excitable dogs. Agreed.

The third is a case of Coppola being broke due to making One From The Heart in the early 80s and taking any paycheck he could get in order to keep American Zoetrope studios afloat.

If Coppola and Paramount had been willing to write Robert Duvall a check, they could have made the film about a conflict between brothers Michael Corleone and Tom Hagen instead.

144 Here's another example of the media toting the Dem's water for them:

WASHINGTON (AP) -- Extending the current level of long-term unemployment benefits for another year would add 300,000 jobs to the economy, according to a report from the Congressional Budget Office.

The analysis released Wednesday from the nonpartisan office estimates that keeping jobless benefits would cost the government $30 billion. But it would also lead to more spending by the unemployed, boosting demand for goods and services and creating new jobs.

<snip> The CBO report found that for every dollar of jobless benefits that the unemployed spend, there is a $1.10 boost to the economy.

Link in sig. So, for only $30 billion per year, we get theoretically 300k new jobs (that's $100k/job) and a $33 billion increase in economic activity. But we are deficit spending $1.2 trillion per year, which ought to have created 12 million new jobs and boost GDP by $1.35 trillion using the same logic.

And I have some beautiful beachfront property to sell you in the Sahara desert.

I just don't like this myth perpetuated that women supported Obama, and thus women all vote with their lady parts. Again, it's deceptive, as a lot of Obama's women voters did not vote for Obama out of any sort of allegiance to their gender or out of concern for women's reproductive rights or equal pay or any of that garb-ahge. They voted for free stuff and in many cases in solidarity with their race and community.

We certainly can! Though I think we'd best do it in miniature, since a boulder of sufficient size to illustrate the size and scope of our national debt would block out the sun.

Also, the Debt Stone shouldn't be hovering. It should have already landed. A few poor souls would be sticking out from underneath, desperately clawing at the ground in a futile attempt to free themselves. But -- and this is where we stick it to the Demonrats -- we'd have miniature figures of Harry Reid, Nazi Pelosi, Debbie Wooferman-Shits, etc, etc, standing around teh boulder and kicking those people in the face to make sure they stay where they are. Meanwhile, on TOP of the boulder we'd have a miniature Obama giving an interview to a miniature Andrea Mitchell, completely ignoring the screaming and wailing from the crushed electorate under his feet.

193 Kallisto, Obozo DID win the Catholic vote by 2% but again, if you look at the breakdown, it is deceiving.

Romney carried the white Catholic vote by a margin of 59-40. So, imagine the percentage at which non-white Catholics (again, largely majority Latinos, with a smaller percentage Asian, and an even smaller percentage Black) must have voted in order to come to the final tally of 50-48?

Again, Obama did not carry Catholics......Latinos voted for Obama because they are Latino, not because they are Catholic (obviously if their Catholicism mattered, they would not have voted for him).

If you delve further, they measured regularly attending mass Catholics and CINOs. More CINOs than regular Catholics voted. But, I think that speaks more to the state of the Catholic Church than to lack of voter enthusiasm amongst devout Catholics. Anyway, regular attenders (of any race) went to Romney. CINOs went to Obama.

There is this myth that Latinos are staunchly Catholic. In my small city, there are about 3,500 Hispanics. There is one Hispanic mass- the numbers there are usually in the range of 100-200 that attend. The church is usually barely 1/4 full. There is a multidenominational Hispanic church in town, but it seats maybe 50 at each service. You might count in MAYBE another 500 more scattered around some of the other churches or perhaps attending English-speaking masses. So, basically...I don't think Hispanics are nearly as "Catholic" as people assume. They may be Catholic by birth. They may call themselves Catholic. But, they are not regularly attending Catholics, so I would not be at all surprised if the Latino community is far less religious and far more socially liberal than people suspect.

The idea isn't to change hearts and win minds overnight. Can't be done. Not with long term net gains. The idea is to get in their headspace just a little. Put that thought in there. Repeat it to them over and over. Turn the Lib tactics back on them. You have to slip it into their subconscious.
Imagine a commercial that starts as a quick little expose into the exhibition of Levitated Mass that then slides into a quick "art has always imitated life" that slides into the art I'm talking about.
I promise you could put together a 30 second spot that does that. People don't turn it off right away because it doesn't register as "political." By the time it does, they've already seen it. Then repeat. Over and over and over.

That's definitely a fresh idea... with the myriad 'mafia/mob' crap out there, hmmm... I do think you're onto something there. I've toyed around with something to do with the 1776 era also...but that always seemed a little too overt. It's no coincidence that the former Soviets spent vast sums of time, research and money to study the human mind and how to best control it. It's also no coincidence that the Prog/Coms here are using those findings, in conjunction with the MFM, to manipulate the popular culture to cast a jaundiced eye at the traditional American institutions and way of life. It's a strange land we live in when the culture is persuaded to hate it's own.

209 It revealed that the number of semesters a student could receive a Pell Grant had been cut from 18 semesters down to 12.

Math is hard, but isn't that cutting from NINE years of college to SIX years?

I guess liberals are getting smarter and it doesn't take them nine years to finish a FOUR year degree. They've moved all the way down to SIX years.

214 202 If you're really hardcore into doing it look into Android game dev or something. There is (some) money to be made there.

I was lucky enough to be really, really gifted at coping with ANSI X12 EDI (sigh). 1980s-era technologies require 1980s-era solutions, so my "development" talents mainly lie within translator applications. I've never been a fan of the folks up in Redmond (I was a FoxPro developer way back when), so Visual Anything usually ends up infuriating me since I'd rather be writing code in UltraEdit...lol

I'm more of an enterprise interface architect these days, my core competency is designing and implementing data exchange repositories...mainly on the payor side. Thankfully, yes, HIPAA (and to a certain extent, PP/ACA) was virtually a guaranteed employment act for folks in my shoes.

223 The CBO report found that for every dollar of jobless benefits that the unemployed spend, there is a $1.10 boost to the economy.

What a crock. And what makes it a crock is the fact that real world inflation is running around 8%. Additionally, by the time one dollar finally makes its way back into the economy from Washington, around 40 cents is lost to administrative overhead.

But, if this lie is repeated often enough, the weak will swallow it whole, as designed.

That breakdown makes sense. The reason I thought the initial number was pathetic is that Mitt seemed a good "fit" for the suburban Catholic crowd. There may be some left who recall that JFK experienced religious prejudice during his campaign, in that regard, some Catholics may have viewed Romney as a fellow traveler. And of course the Veep choice was really appealing to the suburban Catholic voter.
Hispanic Catholics chose a secularist (using the mildest terminology possible) over a God-fearing man who would preserve and protect the Church's religious liberty.

To hell with the first amendment, and the first commandment - in the Hispanic CINO population.

I don't even want to cast it as inside baseball. Nope. Mainstream it all the way. Don't paint it as conservative artwork; just call it art. If asked to explain what the meaning is of a digital cartoon of Obama fucking a squawking chicken, simply say, "It represents the government's grip on agriculture, particularly through its subsidizing of agribusiness to the detriment of small farms and organic producers. The chicken represents both the plight of the family farmer, who is being repeatedly violated, and the lustful power of big agribusiness."

The point isn't to convert anyone to conservatism. The point is to undermine the godlike aura around Obama and the regressives. A moving image of the Preezy with his dick in a chicken is a good start.

We could do an evolution of man style cartoon. First frame shows a guy with his share of the debt as a rock from, I dunno, 75 years ago or something. It's small, he's tossing it around. Then each frame, as we get progressively closer to modern day, the rock gets bigger and more burdensome. He struggles to carry it. He's got it in a sack slung over his shoulder. Next to last frame shows him in the Atlas pose with today's date. Final frame has a date into the future and shows him squashed under the rock.

Costco's Dividend Tax Epiphany

Obama's fans in the 1% vote to beat Obama's tax increase.

excerpts:

Specifically, the giant retailer announced Wednesday that the company will pay a special dividend of $7 a share this month. That's a $3 billion Christmas gift for shareholders that will let them be taxed at the current dividend rate of 15%, rather than next year's rate of up to 43.4%—an increase to 39.6% as the Bush-era rates expire plus another 3.8% from the new ObamaCare surcharge.

More striking is that Costco also announced that it will borrow $3.5 billion to finance the special payout. Dividends are typically paid out of earnings, either current or accumulated. But so eager are the Costco executives to get out ahead of the tax man that they're taking on debt to do so.

...

One of the biggest dividend winners will be none other than Mr. Sinegal, who owns about two million shares, while his wife owns another 84,669. At $7 a share, the former CEO will take home roughly $14 million. At a 15% tax rate he'll get to keep nearly $12 million of that windfall, while at next year's rate of 43.4% he'd take home only about $8 million.

...

To sum up: Here we have people at the very top of the top 1% who preach about tax fairness voting to write themselves a huge dividend check to avoid the Obama tax increase they claim it is a public service to impose on middle-class Americans who work for 30 years and finally make $250,000 for a brief window in time.

If they had any shame, they'd send their entire windfall to the Treasury.

We also took a bunch of band pics for our "manager," the guys who's gotten us exactly one gig in the past year. 248 Archeologists in North Korea have apparently discovered a mythical unicorn lair belonging to an ancient king, according to a highly dubious report from the state news agency.

The quite unbelievable claim of the discovery of the unicorn lair belonging to King Tongmyong, founder of the ancient Korean kingdom Koguryo was made by the History Institute of the DPRK Academy of Social Sciences.

The lair was apparently found 220 yards fro a temple in the capital, Pyongyang.

"A rectangular rock carved with words "Unicorn Lair" stands in front of the lair. The carved words are believed to date back to the period of Koryo Kingdom (918-1392)," the report said.

"The temple served as a relief palace for King Tongmyong, in which there is the lair of his unicorn."
