4 Susan Rice to Confront Her Accusers
UN Ambassador Susan Rice will be on Capitol Hill this week to meet with individual members of Congress to discuss the Benghazi attacks,
aides on Capitol Hill confirm. She will come face-to-face with many
Senators who have opposed her possible nomination to be the next
Secretary of State.

Poor brave woman facing all of those EVIL white oppressors. She so valiantly lied about Benghazi and now those racists want to question her about it

8 I don't particularly like Tucker Carlsen, but he had a good line on fox last night. Basically he said, the republican plan about managing the fiscal cliff is to attack a non-elected non-government individual (Grover Norquist) who had the temerity to ask them to formally support a principled position on taxation.

Published: 11.27.12, 16:13 / Israel News

France said it will vote in favor of the Palestinian request for non-member status at the UN. (Reuters)

And in a related Story: France says Israel can defend itself from a Palestinian State simply by building a line of reinforced Bunkers all along it's border. France says this is a fool proof plan?

Why DO we have to raise taxes to get entitlement reform?

I actually want Palestine to get a state. If they have a state, then their claims about being a displaced people come to an end. They've been living in "camps" for 70 years. You know what we call living in the same place for 70s years? A home.

As long as the UN doesn't try to give that Palestinian state territory controlled by Israel, then I'm fine with it.
It'd be better for Israel too. No longer is there an issue with occupied territory.
If anything, I'm guessing the Pali's don't want a state. It would be a recognition that they've lost to Israel and aren't getting the land back.

They will not agree to a "State" without

A) right of return to Israel Proper- a non-starter
B) Total Return of East Jerusalem- problematic
C) The will also not really agree to de-militarize said "State"
D) A Palestinian "State" would by definition destabilize Jordan, which is gonna happen anyway, but just thought I'd throw that in.
E) Control of the Air Space and Water rights is also a huge problem.
F) finally they have become so radicalized, well.... it's a non-starter

51 >>>by playing you mean....something else don't you?

No, not really. I don't know if you've ever paid attention, but after things like the Israeli coiunterattacks, Palis will swarm on the remains and grab souvenirs. Mostly to show the foreign press so they can say one victim was twenty, but also they'll drag corpses of children everywhere, different locations, same body. And then when they chop off hands and feet like Sharia says to do in some cases, they walk around showing those off.

I could make comparisons to Catholic Holy Relics and start a flame war, but really, we pretty much gave up all this long ago. The muzzies just haven't advanced as aculture all that much. Which is something you knew, I'm sure.

80 It occurs to me why the Dems are suddenly willing to discuss entitlement reform. They want to treat emergency measures like the unemployment extensions as normal and set a goal in between the old normal and the extensions. Thus creating a new normal that grows entitlements over what they were before Obama took office.

Just watch. They'll like the withholding holiday was a normal annual event and pretend they're giving up the world to settle for half as many days every year. Thus completely ending any fiction of Social Security being anything other than an entitlement. This means in the future the number of withholding days, which was simply 100% percent previously, will become a new permanent negotiating gambit.

Darlin', I'm 52 years old, and my beloved country which relatives either gave their lives for or were blessed to emigrate to is being consumed from within by a parasitic disease that is out of control and in the open, while the rest of the evil in the world waits to feast on the dead corpse.

If that ain't a hill to die on, I don't know what is.

I for one am ready.

96 One of the reasons that I have decided to concentrate on local races is, it's a lot easier to put pressure on politicians in small districts than large ones, by population.

Sending 100 cards on one topic to a state rep or senator will sway them; sending those same 100 cards to a Rep or Senator is worthless.

It also takes less money to run for a local seat, so any monetary contribution I make buys me more of that guy.

103 "Epistemic closure." There's a lot of S implying P there (my mentor was Nozick's classmate!). But in political terms, I think we can simplify the "equation":

Slavery ended, de facto if not de jure, in 1863. The issue finally came to a head in the Democrat Party in 1948. [little math here, and then...] Whatever It Is That's Bothering Them about The GOP seems to have happened about 1973, although the Stonewall Riot was four years before that. But, ipso facto and QED, the Republicans still have almost 50 years to screw around before they meet the standard of the Party of Jim Crow in the closure department. Gird your loins.

And y'all have not yet run William Jennings Bryan three times in a row. So you have that stage to look forward to.

So Grover Norquist is getting the full Alinsky treatment this week. Frank Bruni column, MSDNC daily rants, and now Harry Reid is attacking him directly on the floor of the Senate.

They tried this shit with Rush Limbaugh in 2009, and it didn't work. It won't work with Grover either. But it is really depressing to see them doing the same shit over and over again. The red, white and blue still flies happily but only in Russia. Russia
still has St George defeating the Dragon with the symbol of the cross on
its' flag. The ACLU and other atheist groups in America would never
allow the US flag with such religious symbols. Lawsuits a plenty against
religious freedom and expression in the land of the free. Christianity
in the U.S. is under attack as it was during the early period of the
Soviet Union when religious symbols were against the law.

Recently, Obama has been re-elected for a
2nd term by an illiterate society and he is ready to continue his lies
of less taxes while he raises them. He gives speeches of peace and love
in the world while he promotes wars as he did in Egypt, Libya and Syria.
He plans his next war is with Iran as he fires or demotes his generals
who get in the way.

Well, any normal individual understands that as true but liberalism is a psychosis
. O'bomber even keeps the war going along the Mexican border with
projects like "fast and furious" and there is still no sign of ending
it. He is a Communist without question promoting the Communist
Manifesto without calling it so. How shrewd he is in America. His cult
of personality mesmerizes those who cannot go beyond their ignorance.
They will continue to follow him like those fools who still praise Lenin
and Stalin in Russia. Obama's fools and Stalin's fools share the same
drink of illusion.

163 The thing everyone must remember is that Warren Buffett has two very unique exposures to taxes, that mean he earns more in a higher norminal tax rate environment. First, he sells annuities which are tax sheltered, second, he buys family businesses generally from founder's children when the inheritance taxes come due (his bids are generally low but he'll let you keep running the firm). So when tax rates go up, he makes more money (and since he never sells he'll generally never be affected by tax rates of any kind thus for him higher taxes mean more income).
To shut Warren up on taxes, simply counter his proposals with a wealth, rather than income tax (it would be quite hard for him to dodge that).

The collapse is like a big reset button. Sure, there's 15-20 years of unpleasant shit, but the countries that emerges on the other side will be better, and that betterness will get here much faster than trying to reform a rotted corpse and reanimate it.

We got too much baggage, even more than the old Soviet Union did.

184 People with 401k's generally have consciences, some morality, and most importantly A LOT to lose if they chose revolution.

It's going to be "lost" one way or the other. There's little room left to decide which way you want it to be "lost".

Not to mention, giving a game console to an impoverished family is a terrible idea. The software is the big expense in the long term.

If they must, get an old used system with a big library included. If the kids complain that it isn't the one being advertised on TV, remind them that they aren't starving or freezing, and that is how serious people define poverty.

The fact that a lifetime "service" is so attractive is an issue.

The pay is great, but the place is packed with wealthy men and women so the pay isn't the draw.

It's the power.

Whatever form it takes, the "tipping point" will be the point when enough people (and it doesn't even have to be a majority) really understand that the Government is infringing on their Private Property Rights, and decide to do something about it.

It will almost certainly be violent. But it won't be the undirected, impotent rage of the "99%" or the type of people who "protest" G8 summits and such. It will be a very directed, very potent type of violence designed to bring the realities of the situation into stark relief.

Norway: Leader Of Youth Movement Tied To Ruling Labor Party Wishes Hitler Would Come Back And Gas More Jews…

Shockingly, he’s also a Muslim.

(JTA) — Aspiring Norwegian politician Khalid Haji Ahmed said he was only joking when he wished “best of luck eight times over” to activists who wrote on Facebook that they wished Adolf Hitler could kill more Jews.

Screen shots made by Hamar Arbeiderblad, a local newspaper, show Ahmed responding on Facebook to a post that read “Damn Jew whores, wish Hitler could come back and shower you some more.”

The Facebook conversation took place last week between members of the Workers’ Youth League, Norway’s largest youth movement, which is affiliated with the country’s ruling Labor Party.

Ahmed, the youth movement’s regional secretary in southeast Norway, is quoted as telling the news site Nettavisen that his comment was “ironic.”

Ahmed, whose family came to Norway from Yemen, is quoted as telling the New York Times last year that he decided to join the youth movement and become politically active to “fight racism” after his brother, also a member of the youth movement, was killed in 2011 by Anders Behring Breivik on the island of Utoya.

NDH, I like this line from the article:

I think he works hard on trying not to be labeled a modern-day robber baron although his insatiable desire for all the money in the world is on display for all to see. In the end, he will be labeled a robber baron - the man that removed rungs from the ladder of success and hogged up all the opportunities after he hit it big.

Warren Buffet uses his purported liberalism to try to cover up the fact that he is as hungry for money as anyone out there. I have no respect for anything he says.

As Rush says, mega rich libs like him and Gates espouse this nonsense to prevent themselves from the pitchfork of the hordes. They have no intention of paying higher taxes; if they did, they would have done it voluntarily already.

And you know when taxes are raised, they're going to hire an even bigger team of accountants to see that they pay as little as possible, maybe even less than before. Tough luck to those who can't afford to do that.

245 RE Intrade - anyone interested in seeing the announcement, this came to my inbox last night:

We are sorry to announce that due to legal and regulatory pressures, Intrade can no longer allow US residents to participate in our real-money prediction markets.

Effective immediately, US residents can no longer open an Intrade account. Existing US customers are asked to close out all open predictions and request a withdrawal for the final balance of their Intrade accounts before December 23, 2012. Further information on this process can be found HERE. We strongly urge all US customers to read this information immediately and begin the process of closing their accounts.

We understand this announcement may come as a surprise and a disappointment to our US customers, but this in no way signals the end of Intrade in the US. In the near future we'll announce plans for a new exchange model that will allow legal participation from all jurisdictions – including the US. We believe this new model will further enhance Intrade position as the leading prediction market platform for real time probabilities about future events.

For our non-US customers, we will continue to offer real-money prediction markets. In the coming weeks and months we plan to implement a number of improvements to the Intrade website. These include expanding our market categories to include sports, adding more convenient funding options and a new and improved trading interface. We'll keep you posted on these initiatives as they develop.

Kind regards,

Carl Wolfenden

Just catching up, here...

That article by Pravda is fascinating. In places it kind of rambles incoherently, but in others it "calls it" in a way that even our right-wing (or right-leaning) media won't.

They're obviously more than a little disingenuous when they push the idea that we need to learn that our massive defense spending is dragging down our economy. I guess we're supposed to ignore that this massive defense spending is all that stands between these Russians and their conquest of all of Europe (although one wonders why anybody would want it, theses days, and whether such an invasion could only help things).

But the quotes about Obama getting re-elected are priceless:

"He is a Communist without question promoting the Communist Manifesto without calling it so. How shrewd he is in America. His cult of personality mesmerizes those who cannot go beyond their ignorance. They will continue to follow him like those fools who still praise Lenin and Stalin in Russia. Obama's fools and Stalin's fools share the same drink of illusion." [Wow - at least somebody in RUSSIA gets it!!]

"The Communists have won in America with Obama but failed miserably in Russia with Zyuganov who only received 17% of the vote." [So THE RUSSIANS are actually laughing at us forhow WE elected a commie, while they're saying Putin is their very own Ronald Reagan. Wow.]

"Recently, Obama has been re-elected for a 2nd term by an illiterate society and he is ready to continue his lies of less taxes while he raises them." [OK, I don't remember any promises of LESS taxes. It was more like a lie about keeping them the same, except for "the rich".]

251 #205 My very wise 19-year-old technophile son says the tipping point will come soon, when "Anonymous" and those of like mind and capability decide to just start blowing shit up. And he thinks they will. None of us will see it coming, until it happens.

There is a "deep Web" that most of us do not know about, and the government sure as hell doesn't know about. It's heavily encrypted and used to traffic in everything from porn to guns to hash and weed. (The ONT last night gave a glimpse into a deep-web gun trading site.) People are bartering or using Bitcoins. There's an entire society and economy out there that the government is not touching at all. And the people who make it possible know how to take down everything if the government makes one step on them. You might be surprised how many of them have guns, and lots of them.

These people have gone Galt in a way, already. They are living off the grid and their numbers are growing. Now, we may not be able to harness this into conservative voting and political action, because these people have laready given up on political action. They are preparing for direct action.

252 rockmom -- do you really believethe U.S.government doesn't "know about" the deep Web? That's naive. I guarantee you it is being monitored by the Feds.
They may not be "touching" it now,but if they decide the right is getting too uppity, they will use it as their guide as to who they should go after first..
