23 Egypt will continue to support Gaza against continued attacks rom Israeli armed forces, President Mohamed Morsy reiterated on Friday.

“The price will be high if the aggression continues,” Morsy said after he performed Friday prayers in Fatma Al-Sharbatly Mosque in Cairo’s Fifth Settlement.

“Egypt is different from yesterday,” he added, referring to his predecessor ousted President Hosni Mubarak’s soft stance on the Israel-Palestine conflict.

“We assure them [Israel] that the price will be high for continued aggression, and [we tell them] you have to bear the responsibility,” Morsy continued.

During Morsy’s speech, worshipers chanted: “Khaybar, Khaybar, Oh Jews, the army of Mohamed will return,” in reference to a historical battle fought between Muslims and Jews in Saudi Arabia.

“I say to those on behalf of all the Egyptian people that Egypt today is different from yesterday, and Arabs today are different from yesterday. I say confidently that Egypt will not leave Gaza alone,” Morsy said.

Well he would not be the first Egyptian Leader to let his mouth lead him to Military Disaster in the Sinai. Hey got for Morsy and see how it works out for ya?

56 "Did racial divides and identity politics give Obama the win?"

No. Enough ignoring the obvious. You people lost because the country rejected right-wing extremism.

What you guys should have done was supported John Huntsman in the primaries. He was truly open to bipartisanship, accepted climate change as a crisis to be dealt with seriously and also would have carried himself very well on the world stage. But of course, conservatives chose everyone but the non-loon before they settled for Romney.

likely put the U.S. into recession - with a package of smaller, more

114 After an early frenzy of shoppers socking toys away
for the holidays on layaway, the brief glimmer of hope for a turnaround
in the beleagured toy industry has vanished.

Toy sales were down about 5 to 6 percent through the end of the third
quarter, according to BMO Capital Markets toy industry analyst Gerrick
Johnson. He expects sales will continue their negative trends in the
coming weeks.

"The season got off to a nice, strong early start," he said. But
recent sales have shown that the early burst of buying reflected sales
being pulled forward into September and early October as parents took
advantage of layaway programs to buy holiday gifts.

In recent weeks, sales have been "decidedly negative," Johnson said.
"To be 5-to-6-percent down at this time of year is pretty dramatic," he
said.

Whoever was asking about getting a job in Canadia......it's a pain in the ass. Doable, but time consuming. You'll have to find a company willing to hire you first, then they have to make the case why they need to hire from a foreign source, instead of taking advantage of domestic talent. Then once that's approved, and you get your letter, drive to the border, plunk down a hundred dollars or so, and prepare to be surprised about how much the Canadians suddenly know about you.

They'll eventually give you a work permit, good for one year. Maybe. No passport required to enter Canadia, but the U.S. is still pretending American citizens need a passport to reenter the U.S. (Hint: You don't)

If my memory serves me correctly, the late charge they hit me with once was something like $50.00. I paid them off, tore up the credit card, and don't spend more then $50.00 a year there now. I used to spend 10 times that amount.

They still try to get me to sign up for a credit card every time I go in, and every time I tell them I will not pay a 50.00 late fee because they don't open their mail up when they should.

Secession isn't - but kicking about three dozen COUNTIES out of the nation seems to be doable.

It's them who have abandoned and rebelled against the Constitution - those specific counties. Not us. THEY should be the ones who secede, not us. They are the domestic enemies of the Constitution by defintion. There shouldn't be any need to keep'em in the Union.

But that's all wishful thinking. They have the power, they have citizens enslaved to vote their way. They have thallvotes, we have free votes - and right now those two- to three-dozen counties edge us by a couple of percentage points.

BL? I got this one, it's your Basketball Line -- like your March Madness picks that probably aren't nearly as awesome as mine. As long as your Profit and Earnings ratio is good, your company should cover the increased cost of my even more awesome health care plan.

I'd get out of stocks. I see less than zero probability of anything good happening to earnings. What we are seeing now is just a foretaste.

PurpAv @ 266:

Yes, they did. I was hoping to be treated to the spectacle of unemployed OWSers going "on strike". What could they do, other than threaten to get a job if the govt didn't start paying them more money not to get a job.

273 If you're looking for food that lasts forever and isn't Twinkies, ramen is good. So are most canned pastas. Beef Jerky, too. Trail mix without fruit. The nuts and pretzels and M(I don't rate an ampersand)Ms are fine, but even dried fruit can go rancid after not too terribly long.

No, the real number...

Are we really going to catapult ever closer to a true 20% U-6? 1 in 5 that can work (not want to work) can't for whatever reason work?

Damn those obstructionist Republicans.

They did in DFW (some of them anyway).

When the Occupy crowd tried to "OccupyDallas" something like 50 folks showed up. One of the morning guys was interviewing a reporter and said something along the lines of "Dallas has more than 1,000,000 residents. Tell me, is 50 more, or less, than 99 percent of 1,000,000?"

(Only on Friday's for girls tho, we still had to wear dresses the rest of the week.) I remember mom would give each of us $5 to ride our bikes to the Van's store and she wanted all the change back. *sniff* I miss those days.

290 Hostess didn't really have much of a "business plan, going forward." When every one of your products, including the bread, is on the contraband list that could be expected to be inspected and seized in a schoolboy's lunchbucket, the handwriting is pretty much on the wall. It's not as if they had a whole-wheat and yogurt Twinkie on the bench and ready to go.

The EPA had already labelled the smell of baking bread as a form of pollution.

Recognizing the joint effort, and not wanting to deprive unions of credit for this, but really, Hostess was brought down by Michelle Obama, et al. (As in, "I et it al.")

And since their unhealthy output was "obsolete," all the ex-workers are candidates for Trade Re-adjustment and extended unemployment benefits.

So what, exactly, was the RNC, Mitt Romney, Karl Rove, etc. looking to compete against? How unelectable does their opponent need to bebefore they can scrape together a winning ticket? Who do wewant the demoncrats to run in 2016- Charles Manson? Sirhan Sirhan?

The demoncratswould have won with Pee Wee Herman heading the ticket - possibly by a wider margin, since he is both more likeable and smarter than our POTUS.

How stupid does a party have to be - how tone deaf, tunnel visioned, "white angry male" - does a group have to be such that it loses to this?

Do NOT let this pass. Do NOT get over it. Do NOT rest until Karl Rove and every other RINO is thrown out of the party. Rove's "analysis" yesterdaywas pitiful. The rantings of a loonie, and a loser.

In the face of this disaster we couldn't get the vote turned out? "Woman's issues and Immigration" were more important than this Perfect Death Spiral scenario? Gloat in the disaster if you have the stomach for it. Gloat knowing that a LOT of good people are being ground to dust.

Just remember that the demoncrats didn't win this; the Gouty Old Party lost it. There is no other way to look at this.

Remember the Alamo; Remember Pearl Harbor; Remember 9/11; but also definitely remember Election 2012. Never forget; never forgive. Karl Rove and his pals flushed this country down the toilet, largely with your money.

You want to let them do it more?

297 Yep, trucks, trains and wharehouse operations tell a tale if you care to listen.

Just damn.

Midland, Texas reported by UK Daily Mail

The veterans and their wives were seated on the flat beds of two tractor trailer rigs that paraded through downtown Midland, Texas, to a 'Show of Support' banquet in their honor. The parade was meant to kick off a weekend of celebration for the veterans, who were supposed to go on an all-expense-paid whitetail deer hunting trip this weekend, while their wives were treated to a weekend out on the town. As the two trailers crossed the train tracks, a Union Pacific train suddenly appeared, barreling down the tracks about 4.30pm on Thursday. Contrary to witnesses reports that the crossing arms never lowered at the intersection, leaving the truck driver and the veterans completely off guard, a preliminary investigation indicates the crossing gate and lights were working at the time, Union Pacific spokesman Tom Lange said. The train sounded its warning whistle though Lange didn't know if the train crew saw the float approaching. The National Transportation Safety Board is on the scene, investigating the cause of the crash, along with local sheriff's deputies and police. According to the NTSB, the train was equipped with a forward-facing camera whose footage could help in the investigation "if the video images survived the crash".
