13 Hard Questions Await Obama at News Conference

Such as "Mr. President, how are you handling the pressure of being such an incredible person?" or "What do you need us to protect your from first in the upcoming months?"

Posted by: NR Pax at November 14, 2012 09:06 AM (1ml8s)

14 Not first.

The JWF/Bullshitico is some Comedy Gold, right there. I can imagine many things, but reporters asking real questions of Choom Boy ain't one of them.

It has only been a week since the brain-dead have achieved full control of the country, and even I, cynical as I am, could not have predicted how quickly things are falling apart. I'm glad I'm not a member of the MFM (though I could use the money), as I would now have to balance a thirst for news -- reporting on the continuing post-Sandy disaster, the death of the economy, and so forth -- with the sworn duty to defend the Traitor-in-Chief from any criticism.

Instead, we get Squirrels and Shiny Stuff, in the form of mass indignation over Petraeus's stupidity. It works; shit, it even keeps so-called conservatives busy! Boobehs trump reality, every time.

Maybe they should. Love me some boobehs. I personally don't care if General Dave was gettin' some strange, though. I'm still more concerned about the upcoming Dark Ages.

If you're so inclined, consider that a racist statement. Osama Obama has made me a racist. I denounce myself.

Reporter: Mr. President do you think you will be able to get a deal now that the Republicans have dug in and drawn a hard line in the sand putting politics ahead of the good of the nation?

And a follow up question if I may.

Reporter: Mr. President, the Republicans seem to be politicizing the Patreaues affair and trying to tie you to it around Benghazi in a childish timing and what did the President Know and When gotcha game, with that in mind, what do you have to say to those Republicans?

53 Microchip Technology has unveiled its GestIC gesture-based non-contact technology with its announcement of the world's first electrical-field-based 3D gesture controller IC, the MGC3130, enabling a new class of non-contact user interfaces. Based on technology acquired with Microchip's purchase earlier this year of Germany-based Ident Technology, the MGC3130 offers always-on gesture recognition with minimal power requirements, permitting its use in battery-powered mobile and portable designs.

At its most basic level of operation, the MGC3130 is capable of detecting motion at 200 samples/s and 150 dpi resolution within a sensing area defined in the x-y plane by sensing electrodes and extending in the z plane from 0 to 15 cm above the sensing area. Beyond this more basic "3D touchpad"-like capability, however, the MGC3130 goes further - using its on-chip software library to analyze its acquired x/y/z motion data and deliver a real-time stream of recognized 3D gestures like hand flicks, circular motions, and the like to a host MCU.

White House with that just humped the neighbor's dog look on his face,
saying that he fully supports da president in raising taxes on da rich.
All I could think was, SMOD where are you?

I was listening to Cavuto yesterday and he had some union stooge on. He asked him what unions were going to give up as part of a bargain to avoid the fiscal cliff. Union stooge said he supports the tax increases on rich only. Neal kept asking him what UNIONS specifically would give up. Stooge refused to answer it and said "unions would give up the tax cuts on the wealthy".

WTF does that mean? That isn't union money.

I found the first MW to be somewhat plausible, that ultranationalists took over and launch a nuclear attack on the US that was stopped at the very last moment. But then in MW2, the entire incident is somehow glossed over. There's no mention of any fallout over US-Russian relations over the attempted coup. Capt Price is arrested and imprisoned?!?! Where the fuck did that come from? He and his team were heroes stopping the nuclear strike. Then the hardliners actually win the Russian election in the storyline.

And don't get me started on the "No Russian" level. Holy jeebus, what a colossal fucking FACEPALM that was. Not going to get into what possessed IW to think of such an idea, but what was the point of making it an actual mission? There was no point to it as a gameplay decision. You could walk through the airport an not fire a single shot and still "win" that level. It should have been an extended cutscene intead.

The US general (whatshisname) wanting to start his own little war using a mole that he may or may not have blown cover for. I still do not understand if he intentionally blows your cover to Makarov or somehow Makarov finds out on his own who you are at the end of "No Russian".

207 The House Republicans are holding their leadership elections today. One race to watch is the bid for Conference chair, in which Tom Price is running against Cathy McMorris Rodgers. Leadership is pushing McMorris Rogers not because she is a conservative (though not as conservative as Price) but because she is younger and a woman. The reason this might become a contest is because Ryan (among others) is one of the members pushing Price. Leadership has expressed their displeasure and if Ryan fails to receive a waiver from Steering it will be because he refused to kiss Boehner's ring.

Rule #2 of the AoSHQ Lifestyle handbook clearly states that "While no excuse is needed to be drunk, and in fact an excuse is frowned upon, the group shall obtain consensus on the method of intoxication."

242 I don't know if there is any point in arguing with an idiot troll or an idiot sock but here it is:

Not only is wind power the most expensive power on the planet, it is also the most unreliable. Even with massive subsidies it is expensive as hell. And the large wind farms built in prime wind loaded areas operated at less than 50% capacity factor. Indeed often, they don't operate at all.

After wind power there is solar, also expensive as hell even with subsidies.

Yes hydro is currently the cheapest, but that is because the dams were built long ago and are paid for. But don't count on any more of them being built ever.

After hydro the next cheapest is nuke. Don't count on them either.

After nuke comes gas-fired co-gen.

Then coal plants.

Next you get to more high cost oil/gas fired IC turbine, typically only used for peaking power or temporary replacement.

256 You really know you've "arrived" in a profession when you can compose an entire paragraph using only acronyms, jargon and a single linking verb.

Heh. I got asked to come in to a meeting once and was asked to come up with a way of calling someone a liar without directly calling them a liar. Without missing a beat I rattled off - It is apparent given a review of the entirety of the circumstances and facts, including but not limited to analysis of testimony and documentary evidence, that the position being advocated does not bear up under scrutiny and is in direct contradiction with the verified answers previously given in this matter and, accordingly, the Court should give credence to such representations only to such an extent that these representations comport with such verified responses.

For those of you that don't speak legalese, what that says is that the other side are lying shit weasels.

Rule #2 of the AoSHQ Lifestyle handbook clearly
states that "While no excuse is needed to be drunk, and in fact an
excuse is frowned upon, the group shall obtain consensus on the method

to a preference for pink, whereas bourbon and rye lead one to a
preference for brown. Thus, there is a de facto decision being made without the required de jure consideration of the issue.

287 The Federal FHA mortgage insurance fund is expected to announce this week that it is broke, and for the first time in its 70-year history it will need a cash bailout from the Treasury. In case anyone wants to know, the FHA is now the repository of what is left of the subprime mortgage market. It insures almost all loans made now to low- and moderate-income homebuyers. For 70+ years the fund has been self-sustaining, by charging up-front and monthly insurance premiums to homebuyers and having a low claims rate. In fact, in many years the fund has run a substantial surplus which has funded a fair amount of the HUD budget. So this is really unprecedented. The claims rate has skyrocketed, and fraud is rampant in the program. It's a mini-version of the 2007 subprime meltdown, only this time the taxpayers are directly on the hook for the losses.

But we keep being told the economy and the housing market are improving.

Get ready for this to be portrayed in racial terms. Republicans will oppose a bailout, Democrats will scream that credit will be denied to minorites and low-income people.

I was so thrilled at the news that our beloved President, Barack Obama, who I and everyone I know supports completely, had been re-elected that my life partner and I cashed in our reward points and spent a week in Paris.

I am now back from that little excursion, and here to continue my obviously vital work of enlightening you hate-filled right-wingers so you depart your racist ways and help Barack and Michelle move America FORWARD!!!!

354 I am seeing house prices drop like a rock. I'm looking in the < 200k range.

My daughter moved to the godforsaken state of Ohio, I guess five years ago. Bought a really nice house in a family neighborhood for about 225k. Last time I checked it was barely above 200k.

But someone in the 0bama administration makes some comment that the housing market is improving and it keeps getting repeated like a mantra in the press -- while young families are seeing their (most likely) one and only investment crater.

364 The logistics of Petraeus' appearance are still being worked out. But a source close to Petraeus said the former four-star general has contacted the CIA, as well as committees in both the House and Senate, to offer his testimony as the former CIA director.
Fox News has learned he is expected to speak off-site to the Senate Intelligence Committee on Friday about his Libya report.
The House side is still being worked out.

He will talk to them. I will bet it won't be under oath, or public. All of Benghazi will be laid at his feet. He will not roll on the JEF
