29 What pisses me off is in less than 2 days, the press, in a feeding frenzy, has uncovered all this. Hell, it broke there was a third woman whom Broadwell (Bangwell is so much more fun) was harrassing via e-mail. In just a few hours, they found out that woman's name and had pictures, etc.
But in 2 months, not so much about Benghazi.
And, finally, I and a lot of others though Petrateus was a good man. Looks like he was as corrupt as any in Washington. That place will corrupt anyone, looks like. Last days of Rome.

Feinstein first said she wished Obama didn't accept the letter, now says he (Petraeus I guess) did the right thing... 139 i missed the rant thread.

Finally i see the light and i agree with tfg -- i blame bush.

He was a mistake through and through. His "compassion", his k-street project, his court picks, his unwillingness to defend his wars and call people like Kerry a lying traitor, his part "D", his NCLB (but stuff the education industrial complex's mouths with gold), his ignorance on immigration, his embrace of the worst slime on the right, (like delay) and his complete inability to stand for, articulate, and defend small government principals.
I think he was a mostly nice guy, and mostly honorable, and i think he did right by the country in being unwilling to let the left cut and run, but that was not enough. He destroyed the Republican brand Reagan worked so hard to polish, and allowed our arguments to go stale or worse - to become hypocritical.
Bush may have saved America's honor and made progress in the ME (how long will that last) and he may have won two elections, but he did so by cutting up the great timbers raised by Reagan and others. He made a nice temporary structure with all that wood, but in honor of what, and how long did it last?

I do not blame Romney since i can still convince myself that his lunges toward the center were political and not how he would have governed. we will never know. but even if he was an indicted ham sandwich any country with hope would have elected him over tfg.

And of course Brian Dennehy plays a tornado that destroys things and kills people, but also finally brings to reluctant lovers together.

209 It's getting better, folks. Broadwell apparently let slip some non-public info about Benghazi in late Oct., specifically the CIA "annex" was holding some Libyans prisoner in secret (and the attack may have been to get them out amongst other things), and that the annex had requested the In-Extremis force from AFRICOM to come in and help, which they could've done no problem.
So,about one week before theelection, the CIA director's mistress blabs something she shouldn't. Now, both she and the CIA are destroyed via very public revelation of their affair.

Look the US Republic's death blow was in 1968 when my parents gen did not destroy the hippies who went violent but instead gave them a path to control my little brothers and sisters' education.

The Constitution and seperation of powers and any idea of rule of law likely died in 1973 when the newsies and donks decided to try to reverse an election via impeachment......

remember when the cover up being worse than the crime was bad enough it was on live on all 3 stations for days?

yeah neither does the US media.

Obama is not accountable for anything, is a Chicago machine pol red diaper baby.

End of story.

My wife's career is hanging on by a thread, his spokesbitch brags about their enemy's list and oh yeah gee my primary ways of earning decent money the last ten years all involve background checks.

We don't pass amnesty he will try to EO it in which case the ONLY proper response is impeachment which Reid will never convict on thus causing a Constitutional crisis.

Yeah I'm paranoid I guess.

I called Benghazi damn near dead on on twitter well enough Richard grenell and I got to spike the football in jake Tapper and Carney's face.

279 >>> I was watching something about EMP's I don't understand the delivery system, is it with a nuc or can it be delivered by itself.

Any sufficiently powerful EMPs to do damage over a large area, including possibly by bouncing part of the signal back from the ionosphere, it requires either a one or two-stage nuclear device (fission or fission/fusion).

The intensity of EMP effects do not increase linearly, but only by the square root of the weapon's yield.

Boutique round. Strongly don't suggest it. .308 AR is so much better for so many reasons.

The .243, which has been around since the 50's, uses a necked-down .308 case.

The .308 is considerably more powerful, but the .243 is much more accurate to 500meters.

But I'll take either round.

I'm primarily interested in the firearm: it's mostly an AR-15 clone, and the barrel comes fully floated. I hear mixed things about Remington semiautomatics, at least the 740-742-750 series, so I figured I'd ask about the R25.

Sweetie, my point was that an awful lot of men who have a great deal to lose tend to do so with injudicious use of the little head, not that screwing around and pillow talk caused Benghazi. General P is now losing everything he worked for, because he couldn't resist a little on the side. That sounds for all the world like any number of stories out of DC, and other places of power.

Benghazi happened because of the morons who follow a false prophet blindly while making slaves of their women and who are willing to murder to further their infantile grasp of reality, and the inability of the current administration to believe that they are clueless when it comes to defending our nation and why they should do so.

Try not to mention to your kids that Ronulus the Paulistinian really is a whacky old man.

Stick with Vulcan logic:

1. Only 2 candidates had a chance to be elected, and Uncle Ron was not one of them ... nor, mercifully, was Roseann

2. Therefore, only votes FOR a candidate could be used to help that candidate (and oppose the other candidate)

3. One of those candidates has brought the situation upon us that we face today, the other presumably would have fixed it.

4. For whom did you kids vote: FOR the candidate who presumably would fix the problems we face, or NOT FOR that candidate?

That was my vote in my poll. Did you take the poll? Out of 7 choices, it was #2 to Shut It Down.

SID does have one advantage, if the House could be persuaded to do it (not raise the debt cap) -- the results would be immediate and even cause some LIB within weeks.

Sadly, the chances of Boehner and crew developing that much backbone are near zero. Plus, the Obots have an alternative in mind -- just ignoring the debt cap. They argue that the statutory obligations of the US Gubmint outweigh and overrule our national credit card limit.

That's a stance TFG would embrace with vigor, I'm sure.

384 America will break when a critical number of people look at the spreadsheet on their home computer and realize they are working so that they can pay the cost of getting up and going to work.

People forget that the folks who built the USA built a thing that is supposed to keep advancing forward. Each new generation is supposed to be better off then the one before. But, we have collectivized things that never should be collectivized. The result is the future is supporting the past, that is, wealth is passing from the young to the old. Humans have been on this Earth for 200,000 years and never has this been so.

We have created a system that must self-destruct.
We have created an artificial extension in wealth transfer that is destroying us.

Throughout the entire history of life on Earth the present life forms have given way to the future life forms. Parent yields child, parent dies, child later becomes parent, and on it goes. And through all this the child id nurtured and later the parent is cared for until Death intervenes.

Now we have something new. The parent lingers and the child nurtures the parent for a long, long time. The future is starved of resources. It can't grow as fast as it could before. So the child when it is old looks for a new child to support it, and there are not enough of them. So they fight.

I did Like Newt, but ended up going for Paul.I think you just drop the subject at Thanksgiving. Don't get pissed at them if they did abstain. I realize not voting for Romney and abtaining is a dumb thing to do, but at this point family is more important. Doesn't matter if they voted anyay if in CA....and anywhere else where it was close, the ballots seemed to have been stuffed with (D) votes. Atleast they knew enough to NOT to vote for the SCOAMF. That in itself should make you proud. The pressure on young people to vote "SCOAMF" must have been huge. In any other election their decision would have been agreeable. This one just has extra pain associated with it....as it seems to indicate the end of the Republic. But I don't think we are there quite yet. I realize Sven thinks we are, and he may be right, but I'm with IronGramps. 416 Strangepork, we need to organize. We have too much inertia in our part of the electorate, and magically expect it to materialize every 4 years. A body in motion stays in motion, we need to steal the other side's plan for a sustained ground game, adapt it, and use it. This country has survived 1812, Civil War, Teapot Dome, and a Depression that was still quantitatively worse than this current depression (or recession and "recovery", if you're the MSM). It survived the gruesome cultural wars of the 60s and 70s. Yes, I am bullish on America in general, and am optimistic that we will survive. To me, being Pollyannaish would be to say it will improve on its own--I have no delusions of that.
Now that I'm finally moved into the new Casa del Crank, and after I address the outstanding CMEs staring me in the face, I have 2 things I plan to do. well, that's friggin hillarious "throwing shit around for a few days"...I've been throwing shit around....since Tuesday night. I think I did spike my cell phone into the car floor on my way to work the morning after Romney's ass got handed to him....can't believe the shit didn't break.

But....yeah...you're absolutely correct....that is what you do, climb aboard after a few days. And you're right, they should have climbed on board, but to each his own. Even if they did abstain, being a family is more important than always making the same political choices. I've seen some ugly things happend in my family because of disagreements, insults, etc. People not talking to each other for years, etc. I wouldn't want that to happen to you. A fellow citizen of the USA, that knows what's really going on and which way to vote...keep your relationship to the point that you respect whatever they did, even if they voted for the SCOAMF, it's still more important that you keep your relationship with them. (I realize not everyone hear may agree with that last statement).

depends on where you're working.

If I were in texas or Louisiana and had the TOPO mapped out and knew it was safe I'd go with the AR-10.

It is a lot more involved business to get bonded than I thought.

449 I've decided that I'm either dropping out of college immediately after this semester or after next semester (if I edit the sports section of the student newspaper next semester I can get enough money to help cover my costs). The election has made it obvious that the collapse is coming sooner rather than later, and getting a liberal arts degree will serve no purpose now or when things head into Mad Max territory.

I haven't decided yet what I'll do. There are two immediate options in my mind:

1) Wait tables/work other menial jobs and keep my living expenses as low as possible as I await the fiscal boom.

2) Go to a trade school or technical college and use the certifications to do skilled labor for a while as I await the fiscal boom.

I don't count on having any sort of retirement or anything like that. The country is going to shit, and I'm unwilling to go on the government dole out of principle alone. We're going to experience social unrest that'll make Greece look like a daycare center. I figure I might as well start making money and socking it away now instead of wasting more time getting a useless degree. Of course, if it gets as bad as I expect that money will be rendered worthless because of hyperinflation.

What to do, what to do.

3)If President Barry's plane ever makes it back from Asia we have about 1 to 2 years before the World economy collapses. What do we do then when the USA is run by anti-capitalists to begin with?

I left a liberal arts school, transferred to an engineering school.

I can't imagine being in the economy right now without an Engineering degree. I think I can get a job even in the worst economy. And if I can't, I can still build awesome shit myself.

Even if you go to a trade school, and just become competent at some technical skill, that is just as good long term as an Engineering School....technical skills are something that are often still in demand in bad economies. It will also give you a proficiency at a skill that will potentially help, should things really go down hill fast. Like you are worried about.

They're so intent on the forest they forget it's made up of individual trees. Yeah, the big message matters, but it's only going to convince the most aware. We also need to target and work on a grassroots level as well. The Tea Party has shown us what the big idea can do--but Obama's reelection shows us the usefulness of microtargeting as well (along with free stuff, but unlike Dems, we don't lie about that stuff).

The communists. The real deal. It's not as hard as you'd think. They're quite keen on talking, especially if you can get them to drop their guard. Even if they're suspicious, they'll give you plenty of good reading material, saving you the trouble of wading through a ton of superficial, grand propaganda. But when they feel comfortable, with a few questions, they'll open up and give you the strategy and how it all works. Everything that's coming from the dems and the left in general is being manufactured there.Whether the dems and the left know it or not. Everything those guys said back around the time of the collapse of the USSR, came to pass. They had a plan and they had targets.

508 I'm in Arkansas, and while we have our share of illegal laborers I don't have to worry about competing with them as I would living in a border state. I'm strongly considering the trade route because it'll likely be more profitable than the jobs I'd get with most degrees, plus I want to have actual skills and contribute to an area of the economy that's under-appreciated right now.

The world doesn't need one more schmoe with an overpriced history or political science degree. It does need people who know how to build and fix shit.

Just that if you are really after a solid education, it's the biggest fucking eye opener you can imagine. There's a bunch of stuff to get, from various periods, and some extraodinarily open booklets and pamphlets. Pretty much all of which I've forgotten, unfortunately, so I can't help you much there. They can and will, though. In fact, they're much better than the official stuff. They can summarise it all and give you the nuts and bolts. One thing I do remember is Trotsky. Hisstuff is very important. There's a bunch of factions, but Trotsky and the Gramscian school have largely won out.

Yeah, sort of. From what I remember, the emphasis wasn't so much on a violent revolution, as we picture it. This was more a subversion and sabotage school. The old faction was about traditional revolution, but, that was unrealistic to the the latter school/s who eventually won out over the old soviet guys. The idea is simply destruction. The grand concepts will take care of themselves and a traditional revolution will hopefully take place in the ashes. but, the important part is the burning. From within. And they did get within.

I have not done a form in a bit in this situation been 3-5 years.

I'll hit my tax book and hard research it.

The mortgage is an operating cost and if ran as a true business is a reduction of income and if a true loss can bleed loss to your earned income IIRC.

I'm rusty.

Exactly. The long march and infiltration thing. I should imagine this is still the model they're using. The old trad soviet factions are probably still kicking along, but they won't be relevant.

Ah, "squaring the circle". What you've got to realise with the neo-coms, is that your question is an old "soviet" faction one. This (relatively) new strain of hard left... Does. Not. Give. A. Shit. The main goal is destruction. Anything that helps, is A-ok. They are much more concerned with creating a void, than with what will fill it. Hence the more recent trend towards alliances, rather than self-defeating rivalry and emnity. The philosophy is- burn it down to the ground. We''ll argue about who runs things and how, later.

Then, when he can't recreate the housing bubble in the next two years, we can say we gave him Clinton-era policy and he still couldn't make it work.

The point is it will be our fault no matter what if we let them take the initiative in the narrative. If Boehner had balls, he'd tell Obama that he can either keep all the cuts or none of them, and he can decide, then gladly hang the decision around Obama's neck in 2014 as we enter year 7 of the depression. It's all part of Obama's balanced approach, after all.

576 571 Slart,

I still glean the trades because if I go back in I am likely gonna challenge for Enrolled Agent....

The practical impact of any goosing of the Mortgage Interest Ddeduction and fair market rental value as minimum baseline was thought to impact the rental biz in the ways I outlined IIRC and that *is* a big if.....

of course if you'd like to engage in a primal scream I can explain to you in detail how we arrive at an understanding of what the rules really mean and that the 'rule of law" on tax matters is an argument between about 55 people who are not elected at all but a mix of careerists, CPAS, EAs and auditors.

Romney was NEVER going after Mortgage Interest in any way unless he bent the curve for that bracket a LOT lower.

The Obama rule I am speaking of was posited in 2009-2010.

I'll try to chase down a link tomorrow.

Obama is a shitheel on taxes and does not know as much as I am remembering nodding off from a practical tax prep standpoint.

He writes down a number he wants generated inbound and then says "make it so" if he thinks on it at all....

If you're discussing his magic "it won't really work" as said by the Washington post 2012 plan....

well again he ain;t really a tax guy....but that was a simple sop to class envy.

His tweaks are not indexed to the value of the home in question merely the bracket of the earner thus rendering the HMID just another EITC curve game.

The President’s proposal would cap itemized tax deductions at 28% for
married taxpayers filing a joint return with income over $250,000, and
for single taxpayers with income over $200,000. The current cap is 33%
or 35%.

The limit would apply to all itemized deductions including the
mortgage interest deduction, employer-sponsored health insurance, and
retirement contributions. The White House says the change would reduce
the deficit by $584 billion over 10 years.

Yeah that's what we need barry incentivize it for people in the ~250,000 range to get into a game of "hire the better Tax ninja"....

the beauty of it is Boehner has to understand that if he caves and just fucks the people that can actually make the nation work he will lose it all in 2014.

Thus there is the CHANCE he may just let it expire and let the media remind everyone for two years that barky is in fact in a recession.....

if the news turns good guess what barky will not want the narrative to be "evil boner" if it sucks ass they will have already became noise....

587 CC, part of LIB strategy as I define it is to give the Dems whatever they want (with the notable social exceptions sven mentions).

Letting the tax rates rise on the middle class is something TFG claims he doesn't want....bullshit, sure but it seems to give him the high ground in this case.

Anyone see the article at HA about Cook County and the cigarette tax? Back in 2010, they added on a big jump in this tax, on top of IL also adding $1 per pack. They then had the second highest cig tax rate in the country (NannyBloom beat them). They were warned by experts not to do this, as there would be no revenue increase.

Now cigarette smuggling is endemic in Crook County. So the county board met last week to decide how to address this mess. Their solution? You guessed it, they raised the tax another $1 a pack. Bwahahaha.

589 Look, everyone is in agreement that even if Mitt won, at best in two years we'd be gradually improving from where we are now--even Reagan's policies, which were a much more radical change than anything Romeny could have accomplished thatks to the tax rates being much higher in 1980, needed 4 years to really get things cranking. With Obama's policies, we all agree we'll be no better than we are now and likely worse. So go on the talk shows and make it explicit. The Republican party is not betting against America. The Republican party is betting against Obama's economic policies. We promise the American people to give him 2 years of anything he wants, but all of it is on a sunset of 2 years. When it fails, we end everything in 2 years and flip the Senate, building momentum to 2016.

that's the thing. conservatives haven't been telling people this stuff just to hear ourselves talk. warnings about consequences were ........ actually warnings about consequences. how about that? now those consequences are here and they are just getting warmed up.

I appreciate the people around here that are still strategizing and trying to find some way through this. I don't blame them for trying. But the truth is, all the things that they have believed all these years actually are true. If there was any great way to magically handle a mess like this one, there would never have been any reason for conservatives to ever exist.

Conservatives exist to give people realistic predictions and explanations about consequences. That is the only magic they have. Now that they have been completely ignored, those consequences have to happen -- or, conservatives were always wrong about everything. I just ain't buying it.

Essentially, that's exactly right. All of the liberal progressive hogwash is academia tested where you preform said experiment in a vacuum, controlling all the variables or simply eliminating them.

Doesn't work in real life. So, they try to control the variables with regulations, bureaucracy and coercion. Again, it doesn't work because those are unnatural, external influences that never increase economic activity. They always depress it. If the academic models were to work, then Venezuela, nationalized Europe et al would be powerhouses. Heh.....hardly.

Yet, they cling to them in the hope that, this time, they will do it right.

I'm guessing here, but I think that Obinga's continued high likability numbers were a factor. The hard core Conservatives were not that enthusiastic for Romney, unfortunately. Too many don't feel the pain yet. There are myriad different giveaways that are draining state and local government that have, so far, eased the blow for many.

Great thing except, it can't go on much longer. Now, the unions are gonna want more, Federal Drones want more, higher unemployment drains entitlement funding (again and again).

When the EBT cards go: "No funds available"

633 I read more than a few comments in the days leading up where they were uncomfortable with Romney.

I wonder if, given the obvious direction the Junta is going to go they aren't looking at it now and saying ....

Oh, shit......

....dumbasses.

I am not sure those voters even exist. People with ties to the depression and WWII are getting fewer and fewer. People who think food was born in a package and the only skill they need is phone thumb are getting larger (and fatter, too.) The dumbshit factor is growing very fast.

634 ++ 621 I just wish they would have given a heads up, cause it caught me off guar

I think a lot of them must have got on the gravy train and life is just a wee bit easier, and they like it. ++

I don't think they're all on the gravy train. I think some just gave up and figured it's coming, let's get it on. But others that are afraid of things getting worse wanted to have Mom around just in casewill.

A few months ago a guy I know that is politically in the dark but right leaning and hates Obama said something that about being worried if he lost his job, Romney will cut unemployment bennies, just benefit the rich, etc.. When he said it, I did think Obama maybe could win and got out of the stockmarket.

Up until Tuesday when I heard Penn called for Obama, I thought I had maybe overreacted to him.

635 1. The "own it" thing is Pollyannish. They don't own the French Revolution. They don't own the pogroms and the purges and the mass graves and the Cultural Revolution and Pol Pot.

We need to develop a culture we frankly don't have. They won't own it, we have to ram it down their throats. We don't do that.

2. I believe it's healthy to consider every so often that you're wrong. I didn't arrive at conservatism all at once, I looked at the consequences of actions, I did the math.

"Conservatives" in general are imperfect. They have fancies and pet ideas they won't let go. But the general process of Conservatism is to check the consequences. It's math and it's physics.

There are so many flaws in the *process* it would take all night to cover it. The classic example of the emotional message of the left resonating more than the long lists of events or facts we love.

We're idiots at presentation, though, partly because we don't make that a priority, because we think it's dishonest to spin. We need more poets, I guess.

And dodging things like fraud because it's too much work and trouble, because we spend most of our time checking our own shit and not getting our fingers in other people's pies, to abuse a metaphor horribly.

Without an independent press and education system, we have to become something we're not, pretty dramatically.

We likely will become twenty different things and fail.

636 The irony, of course, is that it's the liberal Dem's machinations that have made all these things unsustainable.
Posted by: Conservative Crank, yet another work computer at November 12, 2012 05:42 AM (d7H2D)

Of course it is. We'll never get the Hardcore Pawn population to understand that. You could put it in big block letters, read it slowly, show them the video, make 50 commercials, fly banners over their hovels 24/7/365 and all they are going to say is:

"Where my stuff, muffahfucka?"

There is no reaching them. The best we can hope for is real life pain and agony to wake up the semi-intelligent. The length of time required will probably be determined by the severity of the fall.

637 I also thing there is something to "a depression in the Christian turnout."

You can think that but it's 100% wrong.

SoCons turned out, in spite of this being an election where they were told to shut up.

638 == I am not sure those voters even exist. People with ties to the depression and WWII are getting fewer and fewer ==

That's very true, but remember that Romney didn't even get what McCain got. The demographics is definitely a factor, but it wasn't significant this time. People sat it out. Incumbent prez with bad economy get a huge drop (see Carter, BushI) Put the challenger gets a gain and Romney got ZERO. I think that several groups sat this out. Ron Pauls with the convention rules change, anti-mormon, tea-partiers pissed at Boehner & establishment, & whites with guilt that voted for him in 08, but couldn't bring themselves to vote AGAINST him this time.

Posted by: liontooth at November 12, 2012 05:56 AM (xk0Xg)

639 You can tell people not all the votes have been counted yet, but they won't listen. They leap to conclusions like you shot them out of a fucking cannon, blame each other, yadda yadda yadda.

Everybody's actually the stupid party, just one is evil, too.

Absolutely. They will never own their failings until the semi literate public get spanked hard. They're comfortable in the basement with xbox and cheetos. When the cheetos run out?

True, true, true. With them owning education...well, we know the deal there.

Most that I have encountered who found their way to Conservatism traveled the same path. We were all a little liberal in our college days, it's almost natural. For most in America, being a child is one of Socialistic bliss....until:

Job, Mortgage, Family, Taxes, Bills, Taxes....

Nope. Spank 'em as hard as you want to, they won't own it until they're *literate*.

The spanking doesn't bring understanding. Parenting issues aside, in terms of civilization it only created a breeding ground for resentments, which are magnets for the kind of shit-stirrer that thrives on the far left.

When Reagan got elected in 1980, the most important thing that nobody foresaw was implementing a voucher system and breaking the public education brainwashing factory. The steaming pile of sheet, Bill Ayers, has been poisoning young impressionable minds for 35 years or so.

If any of you moron's on here ever get a hold of a time machine, would you please tell Ronnie to get on it ASAP.

645 "SoCons turned out, in spite of this being an election where they were told to shut up."

I suspect just enough of each type of GOP persona sat out for their own reasons...

Not conservative enough type.

Against free trade with China type.

Libertarian type. (they had a good candidate, for once.)

Christian who doesn't like Mormon type.

A fair dose of each of these in the right state, and its enough.

646 There's also the issue that inside the beltway, the entire political spectrum is shifted toward government solutions, what we in American perceive as "liberalism."

In other words, DC Republicans are actually Democrats out in the field, in terms of what they believe and do while in office.

Which is why most of the ratchet-pulls don't ever get rolled back, even when you elect Republicans.

Problem #54.

647 But I am also of the belief that Akin put our party back a long ways. Young people do not want an old white guy talking about legitimate rape.

Sorry, so cons, if your candidates piss off 2 voters for each of you who turns out, it does not matter.

I don't understand why your church leaders couldn't get rid of him. There were other evangelicals to replace him with. Huckabee supported him. Great job!

Posted by: Sexypig at November 12, 2012 06:17 AM (tuE4N)

648 Obviously, the popular choice is to fight amongst ourselves and not with the opposition.

I mean, it's always better to fight against your friends and allies, you're more comfortable being around them.

Fuck everything you can actually *do* to win, much more fun to chop off your own fucking limbs.

I heard somebody mention that when people are coming to you constantly FOR things your outlook changes in that every solution includes you being involved with the problem and doing something.

Good point, there's another group that got alienated.

====

The dumb asses never heard about it. What they heard was the propaganda machine's take on what he said.

I call bullshit on the fact that the stupid class, who will giggle at one of their own talking about angry raping Sarah Pakin is suddenly offended at his actual comment.

652 It is a true statement that if it is not legitimate rape. Oh, lets say the woman is lying that she was raped just to get free abortions, or increased welfare benefits that she should be not only refused, but prosecuted. How about that? Can we say that? If not, too bad. I'll say it to my grave.

653 Ask the average college age person about a variety of issues in the election and you'll be amazed what they believe.

Repeal the 26th Amendment.

654 You see someone doing something stupid and self-destructive. What do you do?

A) Nothing. Let him fall on his face until he learns to be more responsible. (fiscon/soclib)

B) Help him and make him stop doing what he's doing. (socon/fisclib)

C) Help him, let him keep doing what he's doing, and keep helping him forever. (soclib/fisclib)

D) Don't help him, and also make him stop doing what he's doing, in exchange for nothing. (socon/fiscon)

A and B are reasonable answers, but our political system forces us to choose between C and D. That's why we're boned.
