Some Good News: Both Romney and Obama Camps Expect Romney to Carry Florida

So, there's that.

And I think we'll carry VA and NC, too.

Now, it's all going to come down to Ohio. Here's the problem: It's looking like the polls were reasonably correct. If the polls were reasonably correct, then Obama's got something like a 2% lead in Ohio. To overcome that, we'd need stronger-than-we-were-expecting numbers.

So, at this point, I don't think I'm letting out any secrets when I say we're not favored to win this.

It's still possible. I think the troika of FL, VA, and NC go our way. And then we see what's going on in Ohio.

Oh, and then we'd still need one more of these: Iowa, Colorado, New Hampshire.

A little more bad news: Richard Mourdock has lost to Joe Donnelly for Indiana senate. That's a turnover in favor of the Democrats.

If anyone is capable of introspection (and I'm giving it a shot, but still haven't got the mix right because I'm still too optimistic), you might just want to look inside and ask yourself if you might not be quite as realistic as you think, and if others who are less optimistic than you aren't just possibly on your side, but legitimately see things differently.

Anyway, if OH doesn't come through, this is a bitter night. I'm sorry. I know it's important.

It doesn't bode well that the electorate decided to do this after Benghazi, after the election, (after Obama's mentorship by Ayers,) and after being presented with a great ticket, like Romney-Ryan.

70 This is why early voting, and non absentee, absentee voting is retarded.

Vote on THAT DAY! that way, you can prove that you have been the victim of a false ballot.

You can catch them in the act. But early voting is so convenient. It's not meant to be convenient, it's meant for people who are caring for people in need, or in need themselves. Absentee voting is for expats and military, not lazy fucks.

STOP GIVING THAT METHOD A RECOGNITION! beyond the fact it's easier to spoof, and also more unreliable than standing there as your ballot is cast ,and your identity and signature are proven.

Early and absentee votes are used by the dem's so much because it's an easy way to comit fraud in someone elses name.

IF we lose, it's irrelevant. It's over.

The left wins, socialism marches deep inland after establishing a foothold on our shores decades ago. California will implode first, taking down the rest of the country. Spending will only increase, hyperinflation will ensue. The depression will deepen, the world will become more unstable and we'll have some more economic collapses.

IF we lose.

The reality that the nature of the American electorate has fundamentally changed is the "brutal truth" that must be faced per the Stockdale Paradox:

We need to go into the streets with "No, you will take no more from me nor my grandkids."
Constant marches on Washington and on state capitals like Sacramento.
I kept thinking during the last month or so of the campaign: Why the hell aren't there anti-Obama protestors at every damn rally of his shouting "Tell us about Benghazi."
You know what I think this campaign shows us: Civility is not respected by generations of Americans who themselves are not civil. If you lived in a blue state, you'd understand this. I mean, look at Jersey. Bully Christie wouldn't have been elected in any red state. And blue states like CA are full of voters who look like they could compete in wrestlemania.
So, there's Mitt and Paul, two all-American guys with all-American support, but..too many Americans aren't agreeable people any more.
As for the demo shifts. Look, don't blame blacks and Hispanics for not voting for the white guys. Blame white guys and white women for not voting for their tribe. I know it sounds harsh, but the black guy gets upwards of 95% of his tribe and when an Hispanic runs (and we had better hope it's not LA mayor Villaragosa because he's a dumb shit), he will get the same share of the Hispanic vote, and then blacks will also be on the outs again.
White college educated fathers and mothers and white working class folks haven't faced the facts--Hispanics and blacks will always vote their tribe and hand out patronage. That is what redistribution actuall is, patronage. That is what it should be called. Corrupt patronage.

189 I think it is over.

I thought I would feel absolutely terrible at this point, but for some reason I am OK. I do believe that a collapse is coming. It was coming either way. Frankly math is a bitch, and it is going to make its presence felt sometime in the next four years. Could RR have stopped it? Frankly, I am not sure. But there is no doubt that it will be unleashed now.

So, what do we do now? I think we do two things. We become the prepared ones--the ones that understand what is coming and how to deal with it. The investment required is actually quite modest. Seeds and ammo, baby! Second, we declare war on the real enemy, the MSM. They need to be held to account. When the collapse comes, they cannot be allowed to blame it on the obstinate Congress or George Bush. They put Obama and Elizabeth Warren and Tammy Baldwin Alan Grayson and the rest into positions of power, and they need to be held to account when it inevitably goes bad.

I know this is the ultimate Eeyore post, but I don't really mean it that way. I truly hope that I wake up in a pool of my own vomit tomorrow morning and discover that Romney has won. OK--I can do without the pool of vomit but you get the point. The point is that the fight is not over. We tried playing by their rules.... Now it is time to play by ours.

199 BTW...Romney was wrong about the 47%... it is more like 51%.

200 We talk about fighting. Who is really willing to sacrifice everything they own, their jobs, and quite possibly their lives and the lives of their families. My guess is very few. The US is dying with barely a whimper.

201 Once again, Rush said it best. We can survive 4 more years of Baraka. What we can't survive is the 47-51% that vote for him.

202 Let's hear it for some good, old fashioned Washington DC gridlock. If Droopy McConnell, Boehner, Cantor, et al...try to cave into these socialists over teh enxt four years, we need to hold their fuckin asses to account. I am talking pitchfork and torches...metaphorically speaking in a rhetorical way, of course. Fuck...just fuck.

203 You get the government you deserve. Never underestimate the stupidity of the American electorate.

204 I'm with this idea. How do we start?
Posted by: macintx

What I'm going to do, in no particular order: arm myself and my family; acquire enough acreage to produce enough food if I need to; teach my boys the Bible and the Constitution; stay in Texas.

The revolution, if it comes down to it, will be bloodless. The policies of the left will devour them. They're doomed to failure. We know this. Plus, the military's leaders took an oath of fealty to the Constitution; if BO is reelected, it's only a matter of time before there's no denying that our greatest domestic enemy resides in the White House.

205 Bright side: I'm in my early fifties, so an Obama win means young people have voted to be my b*tch for the rest of my life - they work for me as I collect my heading-for-insolvency SS and Medicare and (hopefully) die of old age before we go full Greece.

I tried to stop it but they insisted on voting for this socialist d-bag so, okay, fine. I'll take everything I can from them as the well runs dry.
