Romney Wins Tennessee; No Call Yet On Any Of the Tightly Contested States
Karl Rove Thinks FL, VA, and Even OH Look Strong for Romney

Sorry, there's just not a lot of calls being made.

Interestingly, with 18% in, Romney's leading Virginia with 57%. But you never know which precincts are counted there.

Mourdock's a bit behind in Indiana Senate. Allen's a bit ahead for Virginia. Akin's up in Missouri.

Early, though. We have no idea if these numbers represent Democrat or Republican counties.

This could be a long night. Hopefully, only long in duration.

Update: Rove thinks specific polling from specific Virginia precincts show good trend for Romney.

Actually, Rove now also thinks Romney will win Florida (early vote now counted, rest of the sailing should be smooth) and pointed to bad turnout in Cuyhoga, and strong turnout in the neighboring Republican counties, to suggest Ohio's looking good for Romney.

Meanwhile the Decision Desk continues.

Please note that light colors on that map are not predictive at all -- they are simply an indicator of who is ahead in current vote tallies. As you never know which precincts have been counted yet, light colors really mean nothing at all. Only the dark colors indicate a call.

Anyone else here have a questionable voting experience this morning? Thought I’d share:

My mother and I went to our local polling place this morning as
usual. However, halfway through casting her ballot, she was called out
of her booth by election officials after they had mistakenly given her
someone else’s ballot as well as her own.

I myself wasn’t allowed to vote at first. I ended up following an
election official from desk to desk and back again as she searched for
my 'missing' registration record for 30 minutes, after which it ‘magically’ appeared at the second desk.

After I finally got to vote, the officials kept profusely apologizing
to me. I wasn’t rude, but I did speak my mind. I said: “You know, when
‘mistakes’ like this get made it doesn’t help change the mind of guy who
already believes that the voting system is 100% rigged and corrupt.” Of
course, I got the predictably indignant: “Oh, it’s NOT the slightest
bit corrupt or rigged!! We promise!!! blah blah blah, etc etc etc.” To
which I replied: “Am I the only one here who hasn’t failed to notice
that the big metal box into which we feed all of our ballots looks
exactly like a huge paper shredder? … Just wondering.” To which, of
course, all officials’ jaws dropped and I left the building. Fun.

157 As I explained in the earlier thread, Romney will win Virginia. North Virginia voters are mostly middle class suburban white parents, who are smart enough to have figured out that Obama and his coalition absolutely hates them. Most of them are fairly recent arrivals, and they had a choice between living in DC or Maryland or North Virginia. Those who chose to live in North Virginia are those who wanted a good old-fashioned American upbringing for their children. They voted for Obama in 2008 because they weren't shown all the signs that he was hostile to that way of life. Now they have seen that hostility with their own eyes, and have also seen the alternative in Mitt Romney's picture perfect family.

Virginia is for Romney. Let's hear about the other States.

Obama is black. Sort of.

It's the reason for at least 5% of his votes. He himself. Sure, every Democrat gets the black vote and the bien pensant liberal vote, but it's so much more intense if he himself is black.

And it means, if he loses, he must be renominated in 2016.

Fellow CT morons - the ancient indepedent Yankee spirit is dead and gone with a majority of the Nutmeggers - too many "give me stuff" people in Hartford, Bridgeport, Stamford, Waterbury, Danbury and too many crony capitalists in Greenwich, Cos Cob, Darien, Westportand New Canaan.
Until the system crashes, which it will if the JEF wins, we are locked out of meaningful votes. Murphy is the same old machine corrupt pol - but at least we are used to it, so its not like the world will look too much different to us tomorrow.
I only pray my fellow citizens in states that have import can carry the day.
If not, I am afraid our glorious experiment is over, and we will revert to the natural order of human arrangements, with the overclass lording over the rest of the serfs. Of course, this is the Democratic end-game - with them running the show and we the peasants.

I'm not defending O'Reilly here; I don't like him that much.

But does no one care about "getting accurate information, including input from all sides"? Or does everyone just want info to "bring them up"?

What the hell is this, "Think and Grow Rich"? "The Secret"? "Unlimited Power"?

No wonder when I wrote my comment on Medal of Honor and 4-time Silver Star winner Adm. James Stockdale's thoughts on surviving being a North Vietnamese prisoner of war, relying on ideas learned from Stoicism and especially Epictetus, so people here didn't like it.
