| Virginia Independents Break For Romney By 12 Points, 53-41Just over Fox. Now, that's an exit poll. But it's a subset of Independents, so I buy it a little more. And here's the thing: I bet this understates the lead with Independents. Shy Tory rule, again. More: CNN's exits have it 49-49. This almost certainly means it's in the bag for Team Red. In addition, I saw secondhand that Obama's advantage with women is just +5. Not enough.Comments1
I think you're right, ace. Dear god, please be right.

2 hr lines still in Northern Virginia exurb (Prince William). Polls are closed. Doors are closed. Those in line still get to vote. Lines snake up and down the hallways of the elementary school.

Sweet-if this holds. If we win VA, WI, IA,CO we win the election- WITHOUT OH,MI,orPA. F-ing NH, they need to change their motto from "live free or die" to "gimme free stuff or I'll whine" Posted by: Gerry Owen at November 06, 2012 07:15 PM (4ABat) 11
Mitt has Indiana & Kentucky, two of three called.
I hope R&R win 2 of 3 called each time! Posted by: CarolT at November 06, 2012 07:15 PM (s0f54) 12

Do the CNN analysts have access to the actual vote right now for Virginia, even though network won't call it yet? Because Gergen seems to think it's not looking good for Romney. He's using exit data as his overt reason, but I'm wondering if he actually knows more.

Obama has lost independents. Therefore, he has lost the (legitimate) election. Only fraud and depressing R turnout could save him now. So, surprise, surprise...

The stupidest thing about polls and pollsters is this:
Any poll/comment made by a pollster can and does influence the actual outcome of the election. Posted by: Mirror-Universe Mitt Romney at November 06, 2012 07:34 PM (aSf5o) Posted by: soothsayer at November 06, 2012 07:34 PM (fnykX) 41
OK, I am officially going to a private site where people don't try to read every frigging facial tic of people who have been going through data and trying to make educated guesses.

Prince William is historically R, but has been trending D in recent years. Flood of new government workers.
Prince William and Loudoun have been growing huge in population in recent years, transplants are changing it politically. Still a lean R, I think. Much more R than Fairfax, which is more R than Arlington. Farther away from DC you get in the NoVa burbs the more R it gets. Prince William did a big anti-illegal immigrant law just a few years ago that got lots of press. But demographics are changing fast year to year and the situation is fluid. Here is the type of crap I ma reading on Twitter. Ari Fleischer just said that Obama kept his 2008 youth vote in Indiana, which would be good for him nationally.
Well, Indiana has been called for ROMNEY. Which means a lot of those younger voters were as pissed off as my daughter, and they voted for Romney. Political analysis is becoming pathetic. Posted by: Miss Marple at November 06, 2012 07:43 PM (GoIUi) 49
