Got Some Free Time Tomorrow, or Tomorrow Morning Before Work?

Sign up to make voter-mobilization calls from home, at Team Romney.

If you do, maybe sign up tonight so tomorrow a.m. you're already got your sign and are ready to do 45 minutes or an hour of calling before work.

Once you get home from work, if you're on the east coast, there are still calls that can be made to places like Nevada. And, dare I say it, Oregon.

Midday, of course-- lunch, if you've got that luxury -- you might be calling anywhere, from Ohio to Wisconsin to Pennsylvania.

I'm Told... that if you're just joining the effort they won't have you poll watching. You have to be certified and such for that.

But they told me there was stuff to do all day long in the office-- like making calls. As I've said before, they plan to tally up the list of Republicans who've voted and have the headquarters call up the people who haven't. Offer them rides and such if they say they can't get to the polls. Good stuff like that.

51 I just concluded a meeting in my home with eight people (all of them my inlaws) who wanted some info on ballot initiatives in my state of ky and general questions on the pres. race. They all are first time voters who needed a reason to vote for Romney, since they've had family members giving them the " democrats are for the poor" schtick for their whole lives. I'm glad to say they all left with a fire to vote FOR Romney. All it took was a 2 1/2 hour lesson on the various scandals and general fuckitude of Obama to leave them with their mouths agape. It's these kind of people that-once clued in- will probably be watching elections and candidates more closely, and probably be reliable conservative voters from here on out. It may not be much, and Romney was giving to win ky. anyway, but I'm proud and excited to have pointed a few more people towards the light. I can feel the wave coming!

What time are we going to get the first polls out of PA tomorrow?

Because ... that seems like it will tell me everything I really need to know.

100 Whoops, not -polls-, I mean actual results.

101 you also need to take a shot or two before calling, the hang-ups and so forth are somewhat psychically difficult. maybe it's just me. but be prepared and power through, they don't know who you are anyway.

DO IT

102 I signed up to make calls on BarackObama.com. Turns out I made 50 "calls" to voters in Nevada in under 5 minutes. So in addition to not validating credit card donations correctly, their site also can't detect when their voter call system has been spoofed. Hee hee.

103 I love to mock Peggy Nooner as much as any moron but she hit the nail on the head today talking about ( republican) voter enthusiasm and Romney's rallies: 'maybe our heads are buried so deep in polls we're missing what's happening around us'. She makes a good point; politics is about heart as much as logic and we're missing the groundswell.

104 I made so many calls for Bush/Cheney against my senator Lurch Kerry that I was invited to the inauguration. I did a lot that year for the GOP. I had more time then than I do now. I did not come home from work until 10:30 and I'm sure no one wants calls at that time. I might switch a day off and call tomorrow if I can get out of work. I should have planned ahead.

I wonder if anyone other than Breitbart pointed out that Obama ended his rallies as it began--in an unfilled indoor arena?
See, if the mainstream press reported or showed video of such thing, this race wouldn't even be close, but even their cameras are framed not to show such things.

106 I just signed up - you can start making calls at 10am CMT apparently. I've never directly volunteered time like this before - I find cold calls a bit difficult - but I think I'll pop a Xanax and do my part.

107 They just updated it to say calls start at 8am CMT (so 25 minutes or so) Maybe someone wants to bump up this thread to the top (or repost?)
