A brief note on Wisconsin

Early voting and absentees have been stressed by both campaigns, and lauded as a show of real strength.

Currently, 54,000 early votes have been cast in Dane. 52,000 in Waukesha (a county that has 100,000 fewer residents). The combined Republican WOW (Waukesha-Ozaukee-Washington) early vote is 1500 shy of Milwaukee's impressive 80k.**

Numbers numbers numbers, you say. What the hell does it all mean?

Well, remember back in June during the recall when the Democrats were boasting about their great GOTV, their drive to get voters out and early?
When someone pointed out then that Waukesha was only 2k shy of Dane's total for early, they said it meant nothing.

After the election, many observers, including the always snarky Dave Weigel, noted there was an obvious drop in the Democratic vote statewide, thanks to the recall being held in June- when a particular bloc in Madison isn't around.

Thats fair.

So, explain why the gap is 2k again- Dane over Waukesha - if the GOTV ops by OfA targeting these college students is supposed to be so impressive. I suspect the same people who were going to deliver Barrett a victory are now responsible for doing the same for the President.

If that is the case, I like Romney's chances even more.

Note, since this post lacks the zazz of Ace's, I give you the Badger Song by the Dead Milkmen.

Pudding shots. Follow the directions on a box of instant pudding; replace part of the milk (the last time I replaced 50% but they didn't set up very well, trying 25% this time) with alcohol. Some recipes suggest folding in CoolWhip, but I hate that stuff.

Anyone know of a good way to put alcohol in pudding?

Pudding
shots. Follow the directions on a box of instant pudding; replace part
of the milk (the last time I replaced 50% but they didn't set up very
well, trying 25% this time) with alcohol. Some recipes suggest folding
in CoolWhip, but I hate that stuff.

Last time I used Baileys and vodka with chocolate. I might try Creme de Menthe or Creme de Cacao tonight, I don't know.

WARNING! Dipping in pudding with alcohol could instantly give you a buzz.

Sounds like a plan!

117 Just got a call from the local Republican Party (the usual "can we count on your vote" call). Now I live in Washington State, where VOTER FRAUD is our middle name and to ensure that process, we now vote only by mail. I had let my 14-year-old politically conservative niece fill out most of my ballot - I was with her at the time - and then we both took it to the county courthouse to physically put it in ballot box. No PO mixups for me! It was too wonderful to hear how she and conservative friends go to bat for their beliefs at school - of course, she goes to a private Catholic school - but she made me so proud!

I lost my mom in November 2009 - she was incredibly conservative and SO PISSED off at what our country had done in voting in Barry. She would have bought a SCOAMF t-shirt. She would have been thrilled to hear Mitt's speeches, would have cried to see Paul Ryan because she would have thought him a young Reaganand so pumped to seewhat is currently happening.

So when the young guy at the Republican Center actually apologized for calling since I had already voted, I said, "Oh, no - this has got to be done!" And he then invited me to join the phone party. I did sign up for the Romney/Ryan voter campaign, but hadn't gotten anything from them. But I might have missed an email and this is a vote by mail state, so I don't know if some of the same things apply here that might in states where you get up off your ass to vote. So I'm washing my hair (sorry, don't want to make them ill) and heading down to start calling. Will try to do as much callingas I can today and tomorrow. JayZee, you do indeed have 99 problems and THIS BITCH is one of them!
But, fear not, Moron Men - I will not be signing up for a chance at the poster.

YES! If the house is going to stay safely where it is in D/R split, or possibly turn slightly more R as even the most lefty progs are claiming, how in the hell can we not expect to see a turnout for Republicans matching 2010? This would spell doom for Obama....

170 Good to hear the weather is going to be dreary in Wisconsin.

If the same conservative coalition that shows up for the Walker Recall comes out for Romney, we should take the state. There's quite a bit of cushion there. Also, the ID law is going to filter a lot of the out of state College Kidz. Plus, the unions have to be demoralized and broke after all of those defeats.

Ryan on the ticket adds a few points, as well as Tommy Thompson doing well against Baldwin.

Really hoping Wisconsin comes through because if it truly does come down to Ohio I'm afraid the election is not going to be called until Wednesday, and it could be litigated for days regardless just to make Romney seem illegitimate.

Damn, Chris Christie'ws begun to menstruate.
Crying after talking to Springsteen, for gawd's sakes. The guy plays a guitar for a living. Shit.
It proves Christie's hormones are all messed up.

"LOL the Boston Globe endorses Liz Warren on the strength of her character."
Folks, the media has to be taken down right after we take down Mr. Obama. They are the reason we have to deal with him at all.

The nerve of the Globe to say "strength of her character."
I wanted many times for Mitt and Paul to call out the media as both Nixon and Reagan did, but he eschewed that to run a positive campaign, but it has to be dealt with once and for all.
The Globe is like your child, with chocolate spread all over his face and fingers and the wrapper still in his left hand, claiming he's not the one who ate the last Snickers Bar from the Halloween treat basket.
