When early '12 voting began last month, Laura Ingraham kept up a shtick denouncing the practice.
In previous elections, I'm sure that those in the wake of Hurricane Ike and other major catastrophes who voted in advance were glad for that opportunity, just as those who did vote '12 before Sandy hit town are glad to have done so in advance of "Election Day." Whether it's a mess or not, a paper ballot or a computer, tomorrow IS election day. VOTE! And I hope that after victims of Sandy vote, there are meals and water available outside the polling places provided by those who answer the call to service, responding in crisis whether representing State National Guard units or civic charities. Now, where the hell is the organized charitable efforts from the network MSM that "cover" the story? They act like they KNOW it all, where there are humanitarian needs unmet; so where's THEIR part providing relief to the "neediest" Sandy victims? I missed that story. I was under the impression that the first "black" governor to say Romney passed a test for being Preezy was...Billy Jeff Clinton. First "black" President as well, for that matter.
So the very first "black " governor or President to endorse Romney was Clintione. That also makes Obama the second "black" President. And the second most successful Guv out of two. Not too shabby for a guy who makes Choo Choo Biden look deeply wise by contrast. Okay, He still sucks hogleg... My post election? Preezy becomes the new Gordon on Sesame Street and Moochelle takes over for Oscar the Grouch. She might get some minutes playing point guard for the Knicks too. I would love to see Michelle Obama get a talk show. People would get sick of her and she'd have to go away.
____________________________ I'd like to see her get a show too. Then we could obliterate the Jarrett-Axelrod myth of her being a "smart" or "brilliant" lawyer. She is not. She was an Affirmative Action admit (by her own admission) to Princeton, and probably to Harvard Law as well. The Illinois bar records indicate she took more than a year after graduating before being admitted to the bar (even though she had an associate job at a law firm), so she probably flunked the bar exam, at least once. Then she was let go from her junior associate job after only a couple of years -- and never had another job practicing law. Every job she had after that first one was a make-work, political patronage job secured for her by political fixer/slumlord Val Jarrett. Like her husband, Michelle Obama has been able to sustain the myth that she's bright by reading other peoples' words off a teleprompter. Get her out in public where everything she says is not scripted, and the public is going to get to see an entirely different side of her. Posted by: Observer at November 05, 2012 04:20 PM (/sohm) 91

I lived in Virginia during Doug Wilder's tenure in Richmond (both of them--first as governor, then several years later as mayor of the city). He's a contrarian, hard to pin down. He's no conservative by a long shot but at the same time he did a reasonable job as mayor of Richmond in cracking down on crime and pointing out that much of the crime problem in Richmond is due to black behavior--drugs, welfare, baby daddies, that sort of thing. Sort of a Bill Cosby liberal, I guess.
He's also an absolutely arrogant sumbitch who thinks he's the smartest guy in any room he's in. So my guess is, somebody in the Romney campaign at least talked to Wilder, and Obama just assumed that due to melanin quotient, he'd be onboard. Doug is in it for Doug and nobody else.
