It was electric. It's hard to explain the undertone of such a strong desire to take this country back from the America hating leftist who are bent on destroying this great nation that we love. Yes, there are many of us out there. We are not always visible, but we are there, and we will fight for what's ours, as did our forefathers. I feel that the spirit they had to free themselves from tyranny still flows through our veins. This is our time, our time to fight for our way of life. I'm very proud to be part of this with you. We must win.

My Mom got MS in her mid 20's though, and died of it at the age of 53. I think Ann's got diagnosed much later in life, and they actually have drugs now that help, they didn't have thoseback in the 80's when my Mom was around.

This is our time, our time to fight for our way of life and our country. We are clearly at war with domestic enemies. I'm very proud to be part of this with you. We must win.

Troy Aikman: Yea, Joe, its man vs. machine. Greg the troll versus the AOSHQ Trollbuster 2.0, one of the finest troll busting technologies ever developed.

Joe: So, what is Greg's strategy today?

Troy: Well, he is going to try and suck a lot of cock and hope he does it well enough to get a tip from the stranger in the other bathroom stalll and...

Joe: No, Troy, no....I mean, what is Greg's strategy for dealing with the Trollbuster?

Troy: Oh, sorry, well, its the same crap he does everyday. Paste in something he has said a dozen time at Tepid Air, hope it lasts and is not blased by the Trollbuster.

Joe: Will it work?

Troy: Probably not. The trollbuster has a defense that would be like if you combined the Purple People Eaters Front 4, those great Steelers linebackers of the Steel Current era, 4 Reavis Islands in the secondary and covered with the same repellent that Jim Messina has toward members of the opposite sex.

Joe: Sounds tough.....I have seen women run from Messina.

Troy: Oh, that is nothing. You should have seen pre-teens scurry away one time when Messina showed up at a school with a bag of candy bars....

I use to think that too but there is no way enthusiasm is going to be won by Democrats. Its been shown that Obama's early support is down big time in Ohio. GOP will turn out big on election day, much better than they did in 2008. Romney may even have a shot in PA now. He wins either state, and its over for Obama.

I just read a couple of articles at Breitbart. In one, Bill Clinton spoke at a CC in OH, and couldn't fill half the gymnasium. I figure the kids barely know who he is. In the other, Bill opened for Obama in VA, and people started walking out during Obama's talk. I mean - Holy Crap!

Maenwhile, C-SPAN had someone describing this Romney rally in PA (Think about that - PA!!!) as a sort of "Republican Woodstock".

On still another front, I caught a clip of Obama speaking in NH. OMG, it was pathetic. It was the speech of a defeated man, pleading with reality. "Why, oh why, can't you SEE?" is what I got out of it.

324 I live in Lancaster county Penna., and I recall people in this heavily red area being up for bush big time in 04. Of course he lost, but there is more enthusiasm for Romney, more yard signs and billboards. Of course Pitt and Philly usually determine who wins. I still have Iowa, Nevada, Wisconsin, NH, Michigan, Minnesota and pa. as toss ups.

336 There has only been one new Rasmussen tracking poll to make that prediction, not two, so ergo your points are incoherrent.

Why do you give a flying fuck if I predicted that the Rasmussen tracking poll, having shown movement toward Obama, would continue to do so over the next day or two?

So much so that you have to say stupid shit like it's been two days, when there's only been one other of polling data released?

Why not just wait the extra friggin' day and see if I'm right or not?

I don't even WANT to be right.

-------

The premise you proposed was that Rasmussen was showing movement to Obama and that it would continue to do so. We are now on day 3 of Rasmussen having it even, which either shows that Rasmussen has it dead even and all positive Romney days have dropped off or Rasmussen now has multiple positive days for Romney that cancel out Obama's positive days. Either way, you're wrong.

337 >>>Ryan was a great pick for VP

Yes he was.

I thought it would be Jindal, even though I personally liked Ryan more. But I thought Jindal was also very smart, a proven governor, and didn't hurt by showing ethnic inclusivity (which shouldn't matter politically, but does).

But no, he chose Ryan, and it was an inspired choice. They've worked well together as a team, and Ryan's policy chops helped sharpen Romney's policies and therefore message.

You're the one who's spinning.

Krauthammer said what I said he said, and when ace posted a reasonable comment a moment ago saying he's been worried, but things are breaking Obama's way, I asked him about two recent data points, a poll from one of the more-trusted pollsters and a political analyst whom I suspect ace doesn't think is an idiot.

450 That was a typo (it wouldn't even gramatically make sense the other way). I'll rewrite it in its entirety:

>>>Krauthhammer also predicted Romney would win after he said that. Stop spinning things.

In the same video clip? I missed that. Are you sure about that, because I'm not.

However, I DID point out that even though Bill Kristol, in that same video clip, did not say he thought Romney would win, did write a subsequent article on his site where he said he predicted would win. I didn't have to point that out, but I did.

You're the one who's spinning.

Krauthammer said what I said he said, and when ace posted a reasonable comment a moment ago saying he's been worried, but things are breaking ROMNEY'S way, I asked him about two recent data points, a poll from one of the more-trusted pollsters and a political analyst whom I suspect ace doesn't think is an idiot.

It was a fair question. I just wanted an actual answer.

I respect Ace's thinking on politics and his analysis.

[for the record, I'm the one who thinks it began breaking Obama's way at the last moment. If the Rasmussen tracking poll is tied for another day, then that momentum may well have stopped, in which case this election is truly jump ball]

I don't blame them. Jiffy Lube Live (yes, that is the name of the venue) has an interstate nearby, I-66, but 66, the side roads, and the parking lot are known to get jammed for long periods of time before and after events. Given that he was speaking around 11 p.m., no wonder people took off in order to beat the rush and the expectation that 66 eastbound would be shut down for the motorcade. Plus when the enthusiasm isn't there your desire to stand outside in cold weather kinda dissipates.

Don't blame the Irishness - my dad's side are all repubs and we carry an old old name. My mom's side also carry an old Irish Catholic name, but they landed in MI as opposed to rural IL. Dad's side farmed and started businesses, mom's side had union jobs. Mom came to the dark side, weakly, long ago. The JEF and my explanations of what's going on have pulled her way farther right. Gotta start somewhere, right?

551 Too Much?

As part of my planned Tuesday activities, I was going to create an EQII character, modeled as closely as possible on Obumbles, and kill him outside the gates of North Qeynos, and allow other players to tea bag the corpse all day, (while I screen-cap the fun).

It occurs to me that this might could possibly be construed as an actual threat against the President.....especially by the perpetually aggrieved class which is always looking for a reason to be offended, and shocked. Some of these people probably play EQII, (I'm assuming all Rangers in the game are Obama supporters....since they're f'ing useless for anything other than running timers, pulling raid trash, and dressing effeminately).

The grown up part of my brain suggests to me that I shouldn't do this. Obama is going to lose anyway, and why risk getting in trouble? My more logical, yet immature, brainial hemisphere says, "Fuck all! Let's do it!"

I'm about two beers away from spending some time in the EQII character creation system.

Those folks have barred us from shifting our efforts into other paths to replace those no longer around.

I got to thinking about why Bubba has been sent to campaign in Bachmann's MN district.

1) They aren't worried at all about Barry being re-elected so why not go after MB for revenge and because she's quite vulnerable, Her opponent has positioned himself as a fiscal conservative while not speaking of social issues.
Well, revenge, yes, but even the press has admitted that Barry's campaign doesn't give a damn about other electing other Dems.
2.) I looked at a map.The easternmost part of her district butts up against Western WI. Bubba can get coverage from WI stations?
3) Maybe they are a little worried about MN polling and figure the only place they might be able to gain votes is in her GOP district because some GOP moderates voted for Barry last time.

Union, guaranteed.
In Daytona Beach there were 20 or so union jackals taunting 10,000 of us including bikers (it was Octoberbikefest). We mocked them. Mitt said some follow him to each rally. One real loser booed during the entire prayer The Won's name. I was so far away I do not know what happened, but people kept praying. I doubt I was not alone in thinking this was just like the DNC when God was booed three times.
It was in the paper the next day that there was a union conference prior to the rally. Debbie WasherwomanShitz spoke. We mocked as Andrew Brietbart, our patron saint, taught us to do. That is our revenge, y'all. It is an Alinsky rule. They hate the mocking. It was as if a gnat came into our range of vision, that is how stupid they are when you have 10,000 people ready and willing to get this done. I have never, ever been in a crowd like this Romney/Ryan rally. Never experienced such a positive force. We are going to win.

We can do this. We have to do this. Pray. Vote. Pray continually.

751 Great crowd in PA. Tom Ridge was a bit blah, but Senator Toomey was surprisingly good -- nothing like I would have guessed from his still photos. Tom Corbett was also great.

Romney seemed tired at the start, but he really soaked up the crowd's energy. It was mostly the same speech from Friday -- but a few new zingers. I particularly liked the play on Obama's campaign slogan: "It's not 'Forward' -- it's 'Forewarned'."

Also, in passing, just read that George Will has predicted a Romney landslide. He put Minnesota in the win column. He was outvoted by the four other panelists, of course, who predicted Obama electoral vote landslides -- with a less than 1% victory in the popular vote. The cognitive dissonance is extraordinary. It's a horrible, guilty pleasure -- but I can't wait to watch the media meltdown Tuesday night.

(Also, very off topic: Wow, was this a great day to have Doug Martin on my fantasy football team!)

753 the license plate "JEWISH1", and a Romney / Ryan sticker on the bumper. That guy was one Rara Avis, indeed, but hopefully a sign of things to come.

748 Jug Eared Fuck. What is up with y'all? I go (far) out of my way not to blaspheme, but fuck is a mighty fine word and a I use it far more than I should, in all kinds of situations. Why do you shy away from it?

759 Mitt Romney had better win in Tuesday. I just about froze to death waiting to hear him speak in PA. It was awesome, though. They had a really great video before he arrived. Sitting in traffic trying to exit the parking lot. It's gonna be a while.

Posted by: Chique d'afrique on her phone. Go Mitt Romney! at November 04, 2012 07:53 PM (5tpzF)

760 I think it's wonderful, Chique, you and everyone else went to show their support. I bet that meant a lot to Mitt. I wish I had been able to go.

I hope you don't have too far to go home.' God bless and take care.

Posted by: FenelonSpoke at November 04, 2012 08:00 PM (jkDqy)

761 Thanks Fenelon. I live about an hour away. And I've been sitting in my car for at least twenty minutes waiting to get out of my parking spot. But it's worth it.

762 He'll find a way for the people to pay the taxes of the Choom King.

763 I watched the video; It seemed like the crowd was very energized. I don't know how many more stops he'll have tomorrow, but that kind of reception in a state that normally goes blue can only make Mitt feel good. Have a nice long warm bath and a hot drink when you get home; You deserve much more from braving the trip and sitting in the cold.

My sis and bro in law came over from NJ to visit my parents in Newtown this afternoon and said the line trying to get off 95 at the Newtown-Yardley exit was 7 miles long, stretched past Route 1. And this is coming from the SOUTH - Lower Bucks County and Philadelphia -not the NORTH.

My dad told me he asked my bro in law if they were all PA license plates or whether some South Jersey Republicans (there are actually a lot of them) came to sight see. Bro in law was pretty sure the vast majority were PA plates.

I suppose a lot could have come in on the turnpike, then north to Newtown exit, but I'd like to think some of the folks in points south have come to their senses.

767 Jazz flute is how you say "Stay classy" in San Diegoan. Which has something to do with a whale's vagina in the original German.

768 Joining late, but as soon as I heard flute, I thought of Marshall Tucker Band. You must be a fruitloop to think that's jazz

770 Just got back from the PA rally. It was AWESOME. Huge crowd -- at least 30k, maybe 40 even 50K. Its was dark but a huge field was filled. As were the stands. And it was very cold (not frozen cold) but cold enough: low 40s with a very stiff wind blowing. Everybody pro-Romney
entry to field was 1/2 mile off of I95N. There was at least a 1/2 mile back on the off-ramp, and wall to wall driving in.
Ahuge crowd lined up to get in the field and that's why Mitt was "late": the secret service had to pat us down and go through metal detectors and there was only 12 detectors or so. So it took forever to get in. hundreds more on the lined up outside of the barricades.
The Marshall Tucker Band was well received. Those guys got skin in the game, trust me. And they were totally appropriate. Wholly authentic American.
Prices on the concessions were reasonable as well -- no jack up there. The souvenir button hawkers were a bit much, but they were only on the outside.
Romney's speech was well-delivered and wwidely accepted to huge cheering.I'm hoarse right now from cheering, but proud that I went and proud of all of those that went -- and know more at home are biding their time until Tuesday as well.

that is true

Posted by: Thunderb at November 04, 2012 10:03 PM (Dnbau)

774 I was there. Romney rocked. Connected on an intellectual and an emotional level. Considering that Bucks County went soldily for Obama in 08, I would feel very good about Romney's chances in PA this year. [And it was night-and-day better than that dispirited McCain Bucks County rally in 08.]
