Be Prepared

uninstall

Homemade Vanilla Pudding.

  • 2 cups milk

  • 1/2 cup white sugar

  • 3 tablespoons cornstarch

  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

  • 1 tablespoon butter

In medium saucepan over medium heat, heat milk until bubbles form at edges. In a bowl, combine sugar, cornstarch and salt. Pour into hot milk, a little at a time, stirring to dissolve. Continue to cook and stir until mixture thickens enough to coat the back of a metal spoon. Do not boil. Remove from heat, stir in vanilla and butter. Pour into serving dishes. Chill before serving dipping.

Might want to stock up on the Valu-Rite, too.

These are the things that people will vote on because they are closest to their lives.

What happened in Benghazi chaps my ass (as it does to many here), but the election should not turn on that alone, although it is a symptom of the larger problem of the Obama Regime.

122 My thoughts on the national polls vs state polls argument. The claim is that the national polls show Romney leading, and the state polls show Obama with the lead. Now, if we look only at Ras (because I believe Ras has earned his credibility in past elections), the basic map without tossups has O: 237, R: 206. Lets suppose the candidate who is now ahead in the Ras state poll wins that state and give the EVs to that candidate, then O gets NV and R gets FL, VA, CO, IA NH, which brings the total to O: 243, R:268, with OH, WI being tied. Under these assumptions, if R gets EITHER OH or WI he wins. Now, Ras has been showing R up consistently over the past few weeks by 2-4 pts (except for today...). Moreover, yesterday OH had R up 50-48, which if true would give R the win. So, I claim that Ras is completely consistent in his state national polls and if his polling and turnout model are correct, points to a close victory for R, something like 243-296, 253-286, or 261-278.

155 Dif, I read your Ohio analysis form earlier today. Spot on. I've been saying Romney by at least 3.5%, probably closer to 5% for a month now in Ohio. You have him pegged at right over 4.

Romney will win by close to 7% nationally. We will gain 8-10 House seats and 53 in the Senate.

Akin will win. Mandel will win. Yes, Mourdock will win. I think Brown wins, as well.

One of my favorite images from the West Chester rally tonight was when the camera panned over the dais and John Kasich was standing there, with his hands in his pockets, a smile on his face, shivering a bit in the cold night air, looking for all the world like a regular Ohio dad.

That is who Ohio politicians are because that is who Ohio citizens are. Just regular people with good, boring, common sense. They gave Obama a chance 4 years ago and he blew it.

They will not reward his blowing their faith with another chance.

Be not afraid.

She said it's eerie for a cheesehead who is used to every election being fought tooth and nail, to be in a state where there are only a few yard signs out for local races (the big worry in Phoenix is keeping Sheriff Joe in office) and no commercials. 382 There was a boy
whose parents moved to a small town in the South when he was 7 months old. The boy
grew to manhood in the small town and opened a general store. During hard times he extended credit to his neighbors and gave freely to the poor. He married a local girl and had a large family. At one time, he was a deacon in his church and President of the Rotary Club. When he finally died at the age of 84, the whole town turned out for his funeral. On his gravestone, they wrote the words, He was almost
one of us.

Put it in italics with left bracket [ then i then right bracket ] lb /i rb at the end.

And hit newline twice to space down.

Don't even ask about 's.

Don't go out. It's not safe.
We just got home and saw cars pulled over on every road.
DWIs are expensive.

470 Dirty Dozen...at the end, when the guy says, "we won, we did it"! and then dies? Don't do that with the election.

474 lb just means left bracket again.

like this [ i ] some quote [ /i ]

but don't leave a space between the brackets and the i or /i.

475 Do you mean when you paste a comment from someone else and then comment on it below?
Posted by: Niedermeyer's Dead Horse at November 02, 2012 10:24 PM (piMMO)yes

****

Different browsers now behave differently. I always double return/enter between the prior comment and my own comment and then put up a barrier such as ****. And, I do a double return/enter between my own paragraphs as well.

Try that.
Posted by: Niedermeyer's Dead Horse at November 02, 2012 10:29 PM (piMMO)****** Okie dokie again. I m'prettysure i'm stupid. But I giggle everytime I try to figure out this new computer stuff and try to picture my mom at my age doing this.

Posted by: Molly k at November 02, 2012 10:38 PM (7DtgX)

476 hit enter twice for a space between paragraphs.

# 380:

If ya wanna be really fancy-pants, dip your shit into creme brulee.

Watching JEF deliver his concession speech only comes once in a lifetime.

I'm thinking of serving that treat up en flambe with brandied bananas, and crisped cheddar/feta. Sure, it might scorch a bit....but if a guy is gonna slap his happy hamsters atop any flaming candied pudding in his lifetime....I plan on making it memorable.
