46 If winning the debate means persuading voters over to your side, then Romney has won. The post-debate polls show people are fleeing Obama for Romney, and they won't be going back.

Posted by: mama winger in paul ryan's district at October 17, 2012 04:22 AM (P6QsQ)

47 All the "fact checking " about whether her Crowley was right or not misses the point. you didn't see her jumping in when Obama claimed to be the king of fossil fuels. Right or wrong , she had no business deciding what was the truth and should have kept to the debate rules. At the very beginning of the Hofstra University presidential debate, announced the rules, “audience has agreed to be polite and attentive — no cheering, no booing, or outbursts of any sort.”
guess who... Michelle Obama— clapped loudly, vigorously, and ostentatiously during the shameful Obama/Crowley tag-team against Romney over what the president said in the Rose Garden about Benghazi.

hell, both of these narcissistic, power-hungry bums!

i seriously can't *believe* how vigourously and obnoxiously she's clapping...like if she just claps with enough fervour, she'll be able to get some of the people around her to start clapping, too! after all, she's the FLOTUS!

i'm pretty sure that went through her mind...and instead, she ended up making a *fool* of herself as everyone else on that stage admirably kept to decorum.

seriously, how childish does she look clapping like that?

51 I think it's a little hard from the tape shown that Michelle was the one who clapped.....I'm sure CNN will release more camera angles to confirm this....*cough*..... but I don't believe the audience would have jumped into the fray like they did unless led there by someone with perceived authority to break the rules. So it rings totally true that Michelle, like her husband, has no regard for the law, and thus applauded. Rules be for the little people.

58 There was one point when Candy said. "Mr. Governor, I'll be run out of town if I don't jump in here..."

At first I thought she meant because of time constraints, but I now think its because Mitt was about to nail Barack on Benghazi.

I'm almost certain of it, although I haven't done a second viewing yet to be sure. It was definitely at a point where mitt was about to put the dagger in Barack's breat though.

i agree that candidates' and presidents' wives shouldn't be criticised just for being married to a douchey failure...or even for spearheading their usually-admirable causes, if even in a nanny-state fashion.

when they forcefully inject themselves into the arena with clownish, immature behaviour, it's fair game to criticise that behaviour and all the failing of personality that precipitated it.

62 The Debate according to Twitter

http://bit.ly/Ttlf74

The second 2012 presidential debate didn't quite generate the same
amount of social media interaction as the first one -- Twitter reported
10.3 million tweets during the 90-minute program earlier this month --
but it certainly was still making waves with more than 7.2 million
tweets.

65 From the Twitter link:

"Twitter really blew up during a heated debate when it appeared Romney
and the president were going toe-to-toe and Romney told the president,
"You'll get your chance in a moment."

Perhaps the "Big Bird" takeaway from the
second debate is the "binder full of women" -- when the former governor
talked about his leadership and how he wanted to see more women kept on
file to get jobs where men were the leading or only candidates.

By the end of the debate, a Facebook page
devoted to "Romney's Binder Full of Women" had nearly 58,000 likes and a
Twitter handle "@Bindersofwomen" had almost 1,000 followers."

Posted by: mama winger in paul ryan's district at October 17, 2012 04:34 AM (P6QsQ)

66 There was one point when Obama had six uninterrupted minutes to give his stump speech. I think it was on energy.
