Picture this: Hillary fights to honor the request from Stevens and the Department Security Service. But overarching policy in Libya is at least partially being managed by Susan Rice and she has a veto over everything to do with our embassies in the Arab Spring countries. She is the Administration's "Africa expert" and certainly had more experience and knowledge of Libya than Hillary did. Rice was the architect of the policy to present a "friendlier face" in the Arab Spring countries, which meant no hardening of embassies and consulates, no huge guard towers bristling with heavily-armed Marines, etc. That was seen as a "peace gesture"to present to the Isalmists a new face of the USA that would not provoke them to violence. Hillary tells Rice and ultimately Obama that this is foolish and dangerous, and she won't be held responsible for any bad results from this policy.
Then the attack on Benghazi comes. Hillary is furious. She agrees only reluctantly to go along with the "video ruse" for the sake of Obama's reelection, but once the story starts falling apart she is out of Dodge. She refuses to take the fall for it and tells Susan Rice, "this was your idiot idea, YOU go on the Sunday talk shows and explain it." And Hillary has remained silent ever since.
I believe Susan Rice wanted to be Secretary of State and thought she was going to be. I think she and Hillary are huge rivals and do not like each other. I think Obama gave Rice a big portfolio beyond the UN because she is exactly the kind of intellectual/appeaser that he is.

Recall that Rumsfeld's folly was storming full steam ahead into Baghdad without providing our Shock and Awe military personnel security and supplies along the route. HILLARY/Obama has done that and more, spreading the US and NATO far too thin in the Middle East already. Whatever "plan" Romney's announced to attack Syria has been summarily denounced by NATO and by those from the Reagan administration who've stayed apprised on the latest events.
Bush's nation building is a horrible thing to prolong and proliferate via Romney. So far, Romney's "plan" equates to more Bush nation building aka more futile (never ending, nothing will change no matter how long we stay) wars that only benefit the global corporatist profiteers.

Thank an investigative freelance journalist with integrity for that. She began her investigation as a liberal in order to aid federal prosecution against those merchants who legally sell guns, sports stores, specifically Dick's. The US Federal Government had a gag order preventing them from a fair defense. But during the course of the trial, the beans were spilled, thanks to that one lady. And she had the integrity to go with the story though her initial agenda was proven absolutely without merit.

At least they haven't brought back the term "man-caused disaters." When I heard one of the administration bigwigs (Napolitano, maybe?) use this term in place of "terrorism" non-jokingly, that's when I knew we didn't just have government run by liberal college students; we had government run by hard core leftist social science grad students.

It has bothered me for a month now how Hannity always refers tothe slainin Benghazi as "the ambassador and two navy seals"and never mentioning Sean, because I want my friend to be remembered for being a hero and doing his job, trying to destroy classified documents in the vault at the consulate while a battle raged around him, and he succumbed to smoke inhalation because of his dedication to duty.
But that aggravation is nothing compared to my anger at this administration for demeaning his death,with both hillary and obamaLYINGwith words about why he died, while hisbodywaslying inreality rightnext to them.Theytried to pretendthathe diedas part of some political protest over a video, solely for political reasons, when they knew fromDSSvideo footage that there was no protest, just a sudden and brutal attack. And then they have the nerve toallege that Republicans are making this a political issue? When they are desperately covering up their mistakes and trying to pretend that our Middle East policy is a success, ignoring present andfuture threatsjust long enough towin the election? It would be unbelievable, if you hadn't actually lived through the last 4 years.
