CBS: State Department Told Benghazi Consulate To Stop Even Asking For More Security

Good God.

And if that's not bad enough: A State Department official told Congressional staffers almost immediately after the attack that it was pre-meditated terrorism.

n a briefing to Capitol Hill staffers delivered the day after the deadly Sept. 11 attack in Benghazi, a top aide to Secretary of State Hillary Clinton said the killings appeared to be the result of a terrorist attack.

Under Secretary of State for Management Patrick F. Kennedy -- who exercises responsibility for all department personnel, facilities, and operations, and who is one of the department's most respected civil servants, having served in his position under both the George W. Bush and Obama administrations -- delivered the assessment in an unclassified, half-hour conference call with staff aides to House and Senate lawmakers from relevant committees, and leadership offices, on the evening of Sept. 12. Capitol Hill sources described the call to Fox News.

And yet the White House went out insisting it wasn't pre-meditated, and was a "spontaneous protest" due to an "internet video."

And the White House went on to do so IN FRONT OF THE CASKETS. And to lie about the nature of the former SEALs who were killed - to claim that they were part of the ambassador's security. Pure, outright bullshit lies. That is how little this administration thinks or cares about ANYONE. They would jump on the dead in order to further themselves - even when it was this administration's own incompetence, traitorous intention and stupidity that caused it all. Jump on the dead. Besmirch their names and memories to "win a news cycle".

Fucking ghouls. Incompetent, criminal, treasonous ghouls.

And they do this all while telling the most transparent, stupid, ridiculous lies that are offenses to the intellect, themselves.

You think the Feds wouldn't be dropping on them like a ton of bricks via the victims' representatives?

But the State can do it with literally reckless abandon and absolutely no one will be penalized 'cept for maybe they get kicked out of office for a bit. Essentially, the worst that could happen is a temporary suspension if anything is pursued at all.

Sounds like consciousness of guilt, to me.
As soon as the shit hit the fan they knew they were culpable. The film-riot cover story was put out as fast as they knew the truth.
If you're so ashamed of what you did, why did you do it? If you were so reflexively aware of how bad you handled the situation why did you pursue the course of action that led to this outcome in the first place? Where was this consciousness of consequences BEFORE the ambassador was assassinated?
And how does attacking the 1st Amendment make it any better for you?
I have long been saying, "Thedamnably selfish seldom act in their own self interest." This is a perfect case in point. Neither the WH's action leading up to the assassinationnor its efforts to cover its ass speak of competence. If you're going to be an asshole, at least be an effective asshole. This penny-ante stumbling, mumbling, bumbling bullshit isn't evenDick Nixon-onian...it's Don Knotts. It's beneath contempt and would be comical except for the degree of corruption and weakness it brings with it.

It's the beginning of the "preference cascade". The media protects the donks right up to the point when they absolutely know that they are going to lose, at that point is when the media then starts to actually start to report on them. We are there now. The Newsweek article will probably be released on Friday, especially if Biden has a bad night and Ryan looks impressive. At that point, the media will know the jig is up, and actually spend the last few weeks of the campaign hammering Obama. It will also help them deflect criticism that they didn't do anything to cover Obama negatively. What the public will remember is that the media "uncovered" a bunch of dirt on Obama, not that the media waited until Obama looked like he was on the way out to uncover the dirt.

So someone correct me if I'm wrong but I'm going to try to connect the dots in my head.
The President decides to go into Libya on a "humanitarian mission" to stop Gadaffi, someone who Bush had already convinced to stop using or selling weapons.
We bomb the country and help fight "the regime" helping the "freedom rebels" all while acting like the outrage over Bush, his foregin policy, and "blowback threats" never existed because a D is in office.
The rebels finally kill the guy who had kept the county in relative autocratic stability and roll his body through the streets, and the rebels, al quaeda and the remnants of the regime fight for spoils as the nation descends into chaos.
The consulate, fearing unrest asks for more security, is refused it by a President who doesn't want to admit maybe he made a wrong foreign policy decision.
A premeditated terrorist attack takes place leaving our ambassdor dead and dragged through the streets.
The administration and Congress knows it was an attack, and Obama decides to go with the story that it was because of a protest over a film in order to cover up his failure to provide adequate security at the consulate and the condition of the country post mission.
The police actually go to the effort to arrest the filmmaker, publically making him the scapegoat and using the incident to attempt to further an agenda limiting free speech.
Is it appropriate to use the T-word in reference to the crime the Obama Administration has committedhere?
Or is it just a signal that we truly are living in a semi-dictatorship?

On the other hand, if these pukes were lying, just to be lying, as they usually do, then it seems that our votes will have to suffice and thereby place new heads upon "spears" one morning in November. If "our" crew were in charge, however, we would all admit that telling everything that we know, just because everyone is clamoring for info, is not always the best course of action.

Are we looking at a bit of slight of hand here. It seems to me that there is no way they could ever keep this under wraps (especially since it was recognized as terrorism so quickly). So, ask yourself what would make this even worse for the White House...and State Department. What has been left out so far that even warranted stalling the FBI evaulation of the "crime scene."
Well, try this one on for size. On March 30th, 2011, Reuters reported that the US was sending weapons to the Libyan rebels under the authorization of a Presidential Finding. As I recall, Congress wasn't exactly thrilled about Obama's loophole around congressional approval. Now, assume that the weapons used by the terrorists against the Benghazi diplomatic house were US made...which any FBI investigation would prove rather easily I would think.

Ladies and Gentlemen...I present to you Fast Furious 2 (Death in the Middle East).
