Absentee Ballot Data Ohio Shows Bad News
...for those who believe Ohio will be as Democrat-heavy or more so than 2008.
A short sample of the shift, with link to the data at the end: Champaign County: Was +3% GOP, now +23% GOP – 20 point shift. Columbiana County: Was +9% DEM, now +9% GOP – 18 point shift. Crawford County: Was +3% DEM, now +12% GOP – 15 point shift. Cuyahoga County: Was +36% DEM, now +30% DEM (GOP already has 6,000 more requests than in 200
– 6 point shift.
Erie County: Was +24% DEM, now +7% DEM -17 point shift.
Franklin County: Was +5% DEM, now +5% GOP – 10 point shift.
Greene County: Was +4% DEM, now +19% GOP – 23 point shift.
Harrison County: Was +22% DEM, now +5% DEM – 17 point shift.
Hamilton County: Was +7% GOP, now +13% GOP – 6 point shift.
Licking County: Was TIED, now +16% GOP – 16 point shift.
Montgomery County: Was +29% DEM, now +5% DEM – 24 point shift.
Muskingum County: Was +1% DEM, now +16% GOP – 17 point shift.
Pickaway County: Was +12% DEM, now +15% GOP – 27 point shift.
Seneca County: Was +1% DEM, now +13% GOP – 14 point shift.
Summit County: Was +33% DEM, now +6 DEM – 27 point shift.
Wood County: Was +10% DEM, now +1% GOP – 11 point shift.

The statewide reported gap is D+5.51%, nearly a third of what the Democrats had enjoyed in 2008. Same-day voting in Ohio leaned more in McCain's favor four years ago, but the early vote crushed him. No, the gap is closing for the Republicans. Ohio had Dems ahead by about 100,000 absentee ballots submitted at the start. The gap has narrowed to 60,000 ballots. For comparison, in 2008 the Dems lead by about 250,000.

They don't know how these people are voting, but they are saying that X number of people who are registered as Democrats have requested absentee ballots, and Y number of Republicans who have requested absentee ballots. That is what this data is, I believe.

Pulling ads from Florida though is very interesting. That should mean that their internals show Obama losing in Florida by at least as much as it shows him winning Wisconsin.

The company that does this,is not onlysaving taxes on SS/Med/UnemploymentTaxes...but they are also saving on Property Taxes, Liability Insurance, and the higher wage costs here in the US.

Got rid of Lyin' Ed Rendell. The Senate race is looking up.
There was some redistricting so there may be changes/chances there.
Although the UE rate isn't too bad, Obarky has stepped on his dick with the energy regs and his attempt to screw with the farmers kids and a few other ongoing F'ups in the agricultural venue.
People forget this is a bigger dairy state than WI and also other crops.
Prices are ridiculous and fuel costs hurt the farmer.
Philly and Pitt will go blue and a few other spots but I think PA is going red this year.

Yes Tami the numbers for Rasmussen and Gallup will include the first day
after Obama's landslide defeat. Gallup will take longer and be slower
on the upswing due to 7 day averages. Rasmussen does three day averages.

If California, that's not the usual SCoaMF. That's Moonbeam and his buddies in Sacramento. SoCal is about to be out of gas because California has its own summer and winter gas blends, and Exxon's refinery went down just after two others went off line to convert from summer to winter.
If the state doesn't issue a waiver so we can get the winter blend early, we're screwed. (NorCal goes to the winter blend Sept.30, SoCal Oct.31, so there's enough gas if the waiver comes through. My friends in the oil business are of the opinion that this is a 10th Amendment issue -- the Feds should step in and standardize the blends by season and altitude, not by state.)

It doesn't seem surprising that there are fewer D's this time around. Probably a lot of Democrats voted in the Republican primary this year, seeing as Obama didn't have a primary opponent; in 2008 he was running against Hillary Clinton.

In 2008, 1/2 the women at my kid's grade school wore their "Women for Obama" shirts almost daily. Now, I see two or three. Romney signs are evident in a few places, where Obama signs were in 2008. Does it mean anything? Perhaps. Perhaps not. Also, two of my neighbors, both strong Dems, are sitting the election out. Again, does it mean anything? I don't know, but I find it interesting. I know Illinois is going to go Obama, but, I find the lack of enthusiasm interesting.

They've had limited validity in the past not for individual snapshots but to show overall momentum or a tendency in the country. So they haven't always been trash, just mostly so. Now they're complete trash and the Pew Research Center all but admits it in the article where they noted the 9% factor.

The individual states where they're canceling exit polling are clearly in one camp or another.The real problem with this is that 16 of 19 states on that list are firmly in the Romney/GOP camp. The WaPo had nothing to do with that. Pam Geller started it all off by donating money as "John Galt" and then conservative blogs got into the act by making donations in all sorts of ridiculous names - "saddam hussein", "joseph stalin", "asdfijkjsdh", ...
We all knew that the AVS was turned off and that it was done intentionally (since default was "on" and no one with a brain would turn it off as that would only cost them in chargebacks). Clearly it was illegal and one of Barky's first - of more than 40 - obviously impeachable acts (though his illegal and totally repulsive campaign rally in a foreign nation ... for foreigners ... ahd already taken place and was about the worst offense an American political candidate can commit).
But, Barky was only running against the miserable piece of shit who wrote a totally un-Constitutional and insane campaign finance law, a guy who couldn't be bothered to try and note any campaign finance irregularities or CRIMES (crimes against normal law and our Constitution, not against McShame's insane law, though against that too) and all McShame could come up with over the ILLEGAL and repulsive Berlin campaign rally was ... "celebrity"!! while not even bothering to have the AVS stuff checked.
All of these fatal problems for America could have been nipped in the bud, if only we had a few people who were willing to enforce the law and protect American sovereignty and our Constitution, which didn't allow a non-natural born citizen to vie for the Presidency, anyway.
