The big thing to watch is Ohio, Wisconsin, Iowa, Michigan, Pennsylvania.
IF the numbers there start to swing back towards Romney favorably, then Romney has actually turned things around. Between Ryan and the RNC, Romney was very competitive/winning in the first three, tied in the fourth and trailing slightly in the last. Obama has taken a wider lead in a lot of them. IF, and it is a big if, if Romney is going to win this thing, we will be seeing improving numbers in the next two weeks in these states. Even if he rebounds well in Virginia, Nevada, Colorado and Florida, I won't be feeling good until I see movement in the states around the Great Lakes+InfernalIowa. Obama wins today, not as wide as the media implies, but it is a win. That can change, but Romney is racing against the clock at this point. I'm not eeyoring, and I'm not gloating. Neither helps Romney or any of the Republicans aiming for their respective seats. Posted by: CAC at October 02, 2012 08:42 PM (xQfLd) 81

well, early this summer, we were all pretty enthusiastic, because it looked like it would be a romney STEAMROLL! then, bill effing cinton -.- but it looks like we're finally coming back. there's definitely some momentum...it's slow, but it's enough to keep it in the bag as long as there are no "october surprises". i just still feel like we need to have a pretty sizable lead to make sure that the dems are unable to steal this thing with nonexistant voters and >100% turnout... If Obaka's pollsters think they can run 9%return polls based on 2008 data and win Virginia and the Midwest, they are in for a serious Deliverance moment on Election Day. How can states that routed Democrat pols in state US congresses in 2010 be yippy skippy for Obama in 2012? The answer is: they can't be. Romney is going to win by 7 states minimum on election day, while the Democrats will look like someone told them to squeal like a pig.

Besides, the MSM is going to be too busy trying to justify their existence. If they can't control the narrative and ensure a progressive government that is friendly to big business what good are they? Why does Comcast et al need to lose money on these brands and flagships if there is no regulatory benefit at the end of the day? Interesting times.
