Palace Guard Media Scooped Again: Five Things Univision Dug Up That The English-Language "Mainstream" Media Doesn't Want You To Know

The Blaze has clips and a report. Including this excerpt from ABCNews (following up on the Univision Report):

2. Fast and Furious Guns Used in Two Grisly Massacres

ABC News reports, citing Mexican Army documents obtained exclusively by Univision News:

On January 30, 2010, a commando [team] of at least 20 hit men parked themselves outside a birthday party of high school and college students in Villas de Salvarcar, Ciudad Juarez. Near midnight, the assassins, later identified as hired guns for the Mexican cartel La Linea, broke into a one-story house and opened fire on a gathering of nearly 60 teenagers. Outside, lookouts gunned down a screaming neighbor and several students who had managed to escape. Fourteen young men and women were killed, and 12 more were wounded before the hit men finally fled.

Indirectly, the United States government played a role in the massacre by supplying some of the firearms used by the cartel murderers. Three of the high caliber weapons fired that night in Villas de Salvarcar were linked to a gun tracing operation run by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF), according to a Mexican army document obtained exclusively by Univision News.

Yes, that is literally blood in the streets. So much it didn't all drain away.

The other bloody attack linked to Fast and Furious guns occurred in September 2009 when members of a Mexican drug cartel murdered 18 young men at Salvarcar and El Aliviane, a rehab center in Ciudad Juarez, according to the report.

I don't know what to say. I've said it all a hundred times. It's not that they couldn't get this story; it's that they didn't want to.

They suspected the news would be bad so they devoted few, if any, reporters to it, and downplayed it as much as they could.

Can you imagine if Bush had a Mexican (and American) bodycount from a failed, still unexplained, covert operation to send guns to narcoterrorists.

Can you imagine if 60 teenagers had been gunned down with "Bush's Illegal Guns."

Can you imagine.

Can you imagine.

No question marks, because they're not really questions.

23 Film-makers in Hollywood are terrified of inciting further retribution against America over a string of new films showing the US mission to kill Osama Bin Laden.

The shooting for two films is complete and they are scheduled for release before Christmas, with a third awaiting the go-ahead. All are under scrutiny after protests across the Islamic world and the killing of the US ambassador in the Libyan city of Benghazi over the anti-Islam US film on Prophet Muhammad (pbuh), according to the Daily Express.

At least one fearful studio has asked an Islamic cleric to vet its script. Senior executives at another studio have entered into intense briefing sessions with US State Department officials to minimise or expunge any content which otherwise might be viewed as offensive.

Filmmakers are worried that fundamentalists could target cinemas where the films are playing, with one admitting: “We are even asking if we dare release anything on this subject.”

Can't blame just the media for ignoring this bloody scandal. Blame the opposition party, too.

When the Democrats were out of power, they clawed and scratched their way back into power. No mistake by the Republicans was too small to mention...and mention...and mention again.

And if the Democrats had nothing on Bush and the Republicans, they'd make up something.

Even when the Democrats are in power, they never rest. Indeed, they act as if they are still in the minority willing to fight the Republicans for every inch of their turf.

It turns out the Mexican Cartel's aren't at all like the old Mafia (which I think this administration thought they might be.)
While the Mafia largely tried to contain it's violence, the Cartels seem to relish sensless violence for show (and sport.)
So is there a reason? I dunno, but it wouldn't suprise me if there wasn't one (or it was something small compared to the murder of 60 kids. Not that anything can justify 1 murder, but at least if they were going after a competetor's kid you'd say "I see the sick logic in that." In this case there may have been a single target and the other 59 were shows of force.)
Disgusting.

Don't give up, folks.

Like many have said, we have been fighting to hold onto our freedoms ever since we became a nation.

It's worth fighting for.

Mark Levin brought up some interesting facts on his show last friday. Throughout history, we have always had a high percentage of people against us within our own borders. This is nothing new.

35%-38% of the colonists objected to the revolutionary war

about 40% during the civil war supported slavery

It's up to 60%-65% of us to remain free and strong.

There have always been those that do no believe in our system.

No it was CBS who broke the story. Atkinson is the one who did it with a tip from the two whistle blowers. Posted by: Vic

No, the first reporting was by Mike Vanderboegh and David Codrea at Examiner.com after reading postings at CleanUpATF.org. Vanderboegh and Codrea had contacts in the ATF and retired community check the allegations, and then they began the series originally titled 'Operation Gunwalker.' Sipsey Street Irregulars was also instrumental in getting wider coverage on the blogosphere.

104 On this date in 2004, Bush led Kerry by 5.4 points in the RCP poll average. Today, Romney is 3.7 points behind Obama. Two points:

1) I don't recall the media saying in 2004 that the race was in the bag for Bush.

2) Although Bush won, had 60,000 Ohioans changed their vote, Kerry would have been President. And Bush's national margin was only 50.7 to 48.3 percent. This in spite of an epic GOTV effort by Rove and company.

In other words, a Romney win is still very much in reach.

Turn out, baby. Turn out.

The strategy is this: Simply don't report the news. Ignore the relevant X and report instead on the puff piece Y or the cute dog-licks-kitten stuff.

107 This is what Caddell is talking about when he says the media has become an enemy of the public. And I agree with Roy (#53) asking why the media is doing all this for Obama.

I'm sorry, it just shows how juvenile they've become. That is the most infuriating thing. The NY Times, the WaPo, the 3 big networks' new divisions, these are supposed to be the true pros in Journalism, the top of the god damned heap. The Times is supposedly "the paper of record" giving us "all the news that's fit to print", but they really act like a bunch of high school kids.

And they are ALL smart enough to know better, so they are intellectually corrupt on top of everything else.

It's infuriating and disheartening at the same time.

And yes, this is how our country will die, if this is not stopped somehow. Ace was right and Breitbart was right too, it is the media that is the true enemy. If they were not our enemy Obama never would have been elected president because the extent of, and implications of, his relationships with the likes of Jeremiah Wright and Bill Ayers would have been made clear to the American public.

Hey, I'm not saying McCain would have won, it might be President Hillary now, but it would NOT have been Obama without the media covering for him even from the time of the Dem Primaries.

Question for Kerry: You've repeatedly accused President Bush ... of not telling the truth about Iraq, essentially of
lying to the American people about Iraq. Give us some examples of what
you consider to be his not telling the truth.

Has anyone posted why the cartels went after these kids? This seems like just senseless slaughter.

I can smell an anti-Obama ad coming with the bloody streets.

Posted by: Vic at October 01, 2012 02:46 PM (YdQQY)

**********************************************************According to the Univision report, the cartel responsible for this slaughter was the the Juarez cartel, which mistook the group of teens at the party for rival Sinaloa cartel members.

I'd say it slightly differently.

It's not that they didn;t WANT to find out.
It's that they wanted to NOT find out.

189 #137 The Univision story contains security camera video of the thugs walking through that bar in Juarez, and systematically shooting the people they were looking for in the head. The off-duty airman may have been one of them.

The story also contains video of a wedding, showing the bride sobbing in a pew. Apparently the cartel kidnapped the groom from the wedding - IN EL PASO, TEXAS - and carried him back to Juarez, where he was murdered.

I consider myself to be pretty up on the news and had no idea any of this occurred.

I highly recommend that you morons go watch the entire Univision piece. Then bombard the conservative PACs with demands that they turn it into an ad.

Posted by: Dianna at October 01, 2012 03:10 PM (DV/Ik)

On their hands? They're bathing in it.

The left is actively defending suborning political mass-murder - AS USUAL.

They love Che the mass-murderer. They love Fidel the mass-murderer. They love Chavez and his roaming gangs of thugs. They used to love Mao and Stalin until it just became too damned obvious, so they memory-holed that.

The sad history of this story is that this administration said "we totally don't give a shit if innocent people die so we can achieve our policy goals," and the MFM to the tune of 95% responded "we are so totally on board with that."

Everybody else is too broke and too freaked out by the other 300 scandals to do anything.

Washington won't do shit, they're all political insiders, and this is part of a "larger calculation" to them.

Fricking *scores* of people would be in prison over this now in a sane world. The program is indefensible because it was designed to result in innocent deaths in Mexico, *PERIOD*. That was baked into the cake, they knew it was going to happen, they *planned* for it, and they stopped and disciplined agents who tried to prevent it.

It can happen here because it did.

Ever been to Chicago or Detroit? The Democrats have been in power in both places for as long as anyone can remember. They're both essentially corrupt one-party states, oligarchies ran like medieval fiefdoms, and they're likely to stay that way. For a number of fairly obvious reasons, Republicans don't stand a chance at achieving any significant office in city governments such as those. Now imagine the whole country as Chicago writ large.

Point is, that's the plan. That's always been the plan. There is no 'after that'.
