Sarah Palin's Advice to Romney-Ryan [OregonMuse]

'Go Rogue'

She gets some good snark in:

"It is nothing short of appalling that President Obama couldn't even remember how much our national debt is during his interview with David Letterman the other night. Even my 10-year-old daughter knows that it's $16 trillion, and unlike Obama, she's not responsible for adding trillions to it.

24 I wouldn't worry to much about those empty-headed dick boys on NPR. My fondest hope is that Romney wins election, the Republicans capture a majority of the Senate and the funding for NPR and PBS by the Federal government gets cut to zero.

And according to the Drudge headline, Ryan was booed at AARP when he said the ACA would be repealed. Just in case any still thought that AARP was "non-partisan". They have and will get a lot of money (a subsidy) from the government. They hated Bush because he cut their subsidy for Medicare Part B and didn't give them any favoritism for Medicare Part D, the drug subsidy program for seniors. Screw those A-holes.

I've seen some articles Mitt is going to really start pounding O in October figuring people are just now starting to pay attention. Also the fundraising totals recently showed O had almost all of the Dems money while the GOP money was more spread out. 27 He said mitt has had a "disasterous week"

-----------

The only reason Mitt had what is termed a disasterous week, is that the media had decreed it to be disasterous.

In that same time period our Libyan ambassador was raped and murdered along with two Navy seals, our middle eastern embassies were set on fire, the White House was implicated in the hooker scandal, unemployment rose, there were rumors our credit rating may be further downgraded, Obama went on TV and said he didn't know how much the debt was, he also went on Univision and got made to look like a little boy holding his pee-pee, and his Vice President said cheerleaders do great on hard wood.

But Mitt had a disasterous week.

I think there may be an agenda in play here. Just guessing.

38 quick anecdote. I live in a deep blue state. Riding the haywagon back from apple picking today 4 25-30ish professional types were discussing the election. Guy 2 didn't say much. The good part came when we were getting off the wagon the guy next to me. a full bore union guy I just met, essentially called the 4 naive d*psh*ts, called O a disaster, and said all his union members hated O.

The Left always projects onto the Right...that which is true of themselves.
And that was does not apply to the ones on the Right that they are projecting upon.

If they say...."Look over there, that guy is stealing from the children!"
Then that means, that they themselves are robbing the little guys.

So the basic Decoder Formula...for decoding what the Left is saying, is:
...'Whatever the Left is Saying about the Right = What is True for the Left'

Barky is the one who had a 'disastrous week'.
So, of course they have to say...."Romney had a disastrous week".

Whenever the Left is noticeably silent about something...means, that they haven't figgured out yet how to spin it and lie about it.

Those were deficits that never got over 5% of GDP and averaged more around 2.5%. Barky has deficits upwards of 8% of GDP ongoing, and had hit 10%, even. That's 10% of GDP for just one year and 8% stretching into the future! Those are totally different sorts of deficits than America has ever seen before, save during WWII. And these Barky deficits are combined with totally wasted expenditures (not going to military or anything useful but disappearing int o the black hole of un-Constitutional social spending) while strangling growth at the same time. Totally, qualitatively different animals. Not even in the same universe as anything before in American history.

95 71 Admire your optimism, Sarah, but it's a waste of words. The people running Romney's campaign don't even know even the meaning of "going rogue." And even if they did, would be appalled or clueless at the idea.

No.
It's not a "waste of words".

Romney has displayed a willingness to use phrases and ideas that his opponents in the Primaries used.

For example...."Get People Working Again"....was something that Rick Perry said first, and said repeatedly.
That's just one example.
Romney is using a lot of lines, and saying things that other R's have said.

I think Romney wants to win.
Sarah Palin has a lot of supporters.
He would do well, to take some cues from her, too.....in fact, I think that he already has, a few times.

125 Chrs Christie calls this guy his "friend".

...In fact, so grave is mockery of the prophet considered, that the cleric – Mohammad Qatanani, who leads one of the largest mosques in New Jersey – even believes free speech that criticizes Islam poses a national security threat to the U.S. and that those responsible should be investigated by the Department of Homeland Security.
“We, as Americans, have to put limits and borders [on] freedom of speech,” Qatanani, leader of the Islamic Center of Passaic County (ICPC), told TheBlaze. He explained that while Americans may ”have the freedom“ to speak their mind, ultimately, they “have no right to [talk about Muslim] holy issues“ as it will incite ”hatred or war among people.”

Qatanani said he thinks agitators who slander Islam, or, more specifically, the Prophet Muhammad, incite violence and hence, pose a national security risk that threatens the safety of Americans at home and abroad. Thus, America should disregard its First Amendment as it is typically applied and instead act in accordance with sharia law for the ultimate “good” of society.

In an exclusive interview with TheBlaze, the cleric, who was nearly deported in 2008 for failing to disclose his former ties to the terrorist organization Hamas on a 1996 Green Card application, explained that Muslims are required by Islam to respect the law of the land in their host-countries. He followed up that statement, however, with a treatise on how those who slander the prophet be pursued legally.

While some leaders within the Muslim community have spoken out against the anti-America driven violence in the Middle East, many have qualified their condemnation with moral equivalence, treating a film dubbed “Innocence of Muslims” (which some claim served as the catalyst for the attacks), with even harsher disdain than they do murder. Qatanani said the Obama White House should take legal action against the filmmakers.

“My position is that White House has to say strong in its condemnation [of the filmmakers] and take this person to court. If he is innocent, we will accept that… The government has strong case against this person.”

150 RR need to buy 1/2 hour time slots one night a week for the last 4 weeks where they have a town hall setting and explain what they are going to do. One town hall on foreign Policy, then one on healthcare and Domestic Policy, then one on energy independence, and the last one on jobs and the Economy the week before the election.

Use charts facts and logic and give the american people some cold hard truth about whats at stake and how they can fix it.

Because Obama that stuttering clusterfuck of a miserable mother fucking cock sucking piece of steaming dog eating shit of a miserable failure is gonna pull another one of those 1 hour infomercial buys the week before telling everyone how much they need to love him because he loves them back can he get an amen.

The need to bypass the media snippets and use that cash to block time to get their message out to a national audience.

Ofcourse who knows what will happen at the debates...Mitt might blow it out of the water, but the problem is that irregardless of how well he does the media will never let the meme be that obama got clobbered.

The smartest man in the world will at worst be deemed to have held his own.

Thats why the debates arent going to swing it as much as we might hope.

I dont know....frankly, i would be just as happy if RR both grapped some walnut wood baseball bats and showed up at the next swank obama fundrasier and beat him sensless but unfortunately we dont live in medeival times anymore.

I think the way this was played, and is still being played, is that Team Romney knew they had a potentially damaging bit of p.r. nonsense going when Reid was making his stupid comments. However, they couldn't be seen as responding to him, so they waited a sufficient amount of time before releasing the data they chose to release.

Now though, they aren't going to acknowledge Reid at all, because they've successfully moved past him personally. In other words, they've treated Reid like he was beneath them, and I think it worked. It's hard to look at the 4 million in charitable donations and not call that a Romney will

Let the rest of us go after Reid. It's not beneath us. Especially since Reid is a pederast who likes having sex with young boys.

181 Nancy Pelosi,super retard.

Four years ago on September 18 – read it, I won’t go into all the details, except to bottom-line it — we had a meeting in the Speaker’s office in the Capitol — bipartisan, bicameral — at which the secretary of the Treasury described a situation of our economy and our financial institutions that was so dire. He took us to the depths of Hell, a place so low that even Dante couldn’t find it — make a circle down there, it was so low. …Four years ago and two days ago the chairman of the Fed said if we don’t act immediately we will not have an economy — after hearing the description and knowing the crisis we were in as a result of the policies of the Bush administration. So for them [Republicans] to have the unmitigated gall to ask the question, ‘Are your better off now than you were four years ago?’ when they had taken us to the brink of a great depression, a meltdown of our financial institutions, deep indebtedness, deepening the national debt to the point that if we didn’t act immediately we wouldn’t have an economy — an economy by Monday. I mean, this election is urgent, because what are they advocating? Going back to the same tax breaks for the rich that got us here in the first place.

"At the founding of our country, a great American patriot wrote, 'If
there must be trouble, let it be in my day, that my child may have
peace,'" says Palin. "Obama's motto seems to be, 'Let the good times
roll in my day. The kids can deal with the catastrophic bankruptcy in
theirs.' That's no way for the leader of a great nation to behave, and I
hope Paul Ryan and Mitt Romney continue to call him out on it.
Generations of American children are counting on them.""

Me: One
of Romney's problems is that he has no sense of poetry. Leadership
requires a level of EQ that makes an individual immediately accessible
to an audience. Both Palin and Obama have that gift in abundance.

He invested $100,000 in a PAC last month. WSJ didn't mention which one. I guess we don't need to know that, but I imagine it's the anti-super-PAC super-Pac his son started in July called "Friends of Democracy". See, they hate super-PAC's so much they were forced to start one.

But I like that name. "Friends of Democracy". You know, "we're not Democracy... but we're friends with it!" It's clever, especially considering how they spend their family wealth buying government influence.

212 Worthless pussies in the Senate.

Sen. Rand Paul’s (R-Ky.) bill to withhold foreign aid after attacks on U.S. installations abroad got its vote in an overnight marathon session before the upper chamber recessed for the campaign break.

Paul had threatened to hold up adjournment and filibuster other pending legislation if his bill, which called for a prohibition of aid to Egypt and Libya unless those who attacked the embassy and consulate are turned over to the U.S. , and the release of Dr. Shakil Afridi by Islamabad, didn’t get its day on the floor.

The bill was shot down 10-81. Thirty Republicans, including Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.), voted against it.

“When nearly 80 percent of Americans believe foreign aid should be reduced – especially to countries that are not our allies – it is inconceivable why their views are ignored by so many in Congress. I am far from defeated on this; I will continue to fight for this issue when Congress returns, and I will continue to call attention to the billions of American dollars – borrowed from China, among other places – being sent to governments that are not willing to respect and protect our interests overseas,” Paul said.

The biggest hurdle at the moment is getting around the national media

Boston should listen to the advice of Gov. Walker and others. But the
larger issue is that Romney needs to be more consistent in terms of passion and in explaining why conservatism works.

271 Obama has to lose for many reasons.

Washington Post:

Senior Republicans say they will be forced to retreat on taxes if President Obama wins a second term in November, clearing the biggest obstacle to a deal with Democrats to defuse a year-end budget bomb that threatens to rock the U.S. economy.

Republicans have long resisted tax increases of any kind. But taxes are a major battleground in the campaign between Obama and Republican Mitt Romney, Capitol Hill veterans say, and the victor will be able to claim a mandate for his policies.

“This is a referendum on taxes,” said Rep. Tom Cole (R-Okla.), a senior member of the House Budget Committee. “If the president wins reelection, taxes are going up” for the nation’s wealthiest households, and “there’s not a lot we can do about that.”

With Election Day still more than six weeks away and the president holding a thin lead in national polls, Republicans say they are not conceding that an Obama victory is the likely outcome. But they are beginning to plan for that possibility.

Of course taxes are going up. The "Bush tax cuts" of 2002, which were extended twice (which would make them the "modern tax rates") will expire, go up, as of Jan.1 , 2013.

And there are new taxes coming on line in 2013 to start to pay for "Obamacare". So Tom Cole is only speaking the pragmatic truth. There can be no tax reform with a change in rates if Obama is in the White House and can veto any legislation that even a Republican Majority can pass.

Consequences? What happens to our slow economic growth when
1) taxes go up
2) electricity gets more expensive because 36,000 MW capacity is going to be retired because of the EPA
3) gasoline prices go up because our currency is being devalued?

Thud!

298 The EPA will be causing the shutdown of over 160 coal fired power plants in the next 24-36 months. Approximately 36,000 MW of electrical generating capacity.
Some of these are very old plants, which were kept up just to provide surge power when needed. Some weren't. Plus the EPA is making it very hard for newer plants to do boiler rebuilds and modernization without having to run the re-permit sequence and risk getting fined/shut down because of "Green house gas" limits being written in for new and re-permitted plants.

It will now be almost impossible for a new coal-fired power plant to be permitted in the US, because of efficiency and CO2 emission regs. The preferred power plant format will be a dual cycle natural gas fired power plant, because of reduced green house gas emissions and higher overall efficiency.

Look for a lot more "brown outs" and power failures in the next few years as power companies scramble to make up for lost capacity. A lasting legacy of the Obama Regime (if they are voted out) will be to make our power grid more like a Third World country.

Losing 36,000 MWs of the most cost-efficient generation capacity in the
US is a disaster. You have no idea how bad the increases are going to
be. They will be disastrous to the individual energy consumers and
apocalyptic to large users – those who create jobs.

I shudder to think of what this is going to do to grid reliability as
well. A lot of those coal plants help support the grid during
disruptions. They regularly provide both energy and MVARs (Mega
Volt-Ampere Reactive) that keep the grid from collapsing when large
loads are added or lost. (That’s about as simple as I can make it and
still be understood.) Losing these stabilizers will make it very hard to
hold the grid. I pity the load dispatchers.

Trust me, people, this is a very big, very bad thing that is happening as a direct result of Barack Obama’s war on coal.<<

Lots of info on what companies can protect via trademarks in domains. Recommend, if you haven't to look around for info. If you are selling the company's product as an authorized distributor and it is clear it is not a Caterpillar website you should be good to go. As far as lawsuits, they talk tough, but all they can do is go to a panel to have a judge rule on the domain name. At worst you would have to give them the domain name. Like I said, lots of info out their on domain name and trademakr challenges.

Posted by: Long Island

You wouldn't get CLE for teaching. But really, CLE's not a big deal. You listen to a lecture, in person or online. Some states make you press a button every so often to prove that you didn't turn the video on and leave. The thing that people complain about the most is the cost.
Posted by: Yermo at September 22, 2012 08:04 PM (E3/4A)

I don't know about other states, but here in FL you can move to "inactive" status. You can't practice, but you don't have to keep up with CLE and your dues are reduced.

aight, so if the GOP embraced Keynesian stimulus as good policy would you still vote for them? how 'bout higher taxes? or are social issues the only things that count as single issue. i realize it is wacky that a decent amount of the Republican base care more about abortion-on-demand than other issues though.

this is why i'm not looking forward to things if Romney loses, cuz we're gonna get the usual round that the GOP lost because of the religious right. and i don't doubt it turns some people off (though most of them are likely concentrated in solid-blue states.) but it's insanely reductionist

I have a feeling this is going to one helluva good week for Romney.

After releasing the tax returns showing Romney gave out more in charitable contributions than Obama and Biden combined - and a tax rate almost identical to Obama - and more than the average American, the mitts are off and the gloves are on.

The uptick in lib bloggers and media matter hacks shows a panic unlike I have ever seen before. They are so afraid to even mention Obama's name/record. Only Romney's. We've destroyed every narrative they had to try to pump Obama up.

Let's be real here - it was a typical "pro-lifers are dragging us down" complaint, cloaked as a pragmatic appeal to reason.
If an issue is serious enough, it must over ride other, lesser, issues. Go to hell fast, or go to hell slow, the destination is the same. While I've abandoned any desire to stop the liberals and welfare scum from killing their own children, I still understand the horror that traditional pro-lifersassociate with the practice. If both major parties were indifferent to, or supporting of, that practice, I could hardly fault them for looking for a 3rd option. Killing people is sort of a big deal.

The trouble is that is money likely wasted. The 46% who will be voting for Obama are set in stone. They won't be changing their minds, no matter how many commercials are run. Look at us, Obama has spent $100M on ads and what do we do? We press mute.

With the media's refusal to report on any news, and their making up memes out of whole cloth, the only way you can fight is through organization.

I believe the race is over and Romney has won. As long as he doesn't make a real mistake, and executes his turn out machine, he will win. Obama just tossed his October surprise early and it had no effect.

I'd like a spanking of epic proportions too, but I'd rather win. It is too important to our survival.

( 25 times greater at least, some estimates were 28 times greater, 2.2 million people )What did Gibson say ? “Never heard of it” in response to a question about the Tea Party?Tea-baggers is still a term used by the journolist-set and the longer it goes on it makes me want to full on slap the grins off their faces when they say it.That is one of MY motivations I am starting to think that the moronic journolistas will never change their ways till one of their own gets the Libyan or Egyption mob treatment, only then will some of them start to awaken to what they have done. 402 70/30 Intrade....I think that's a taker.

If Obama wins, it will be 51% or below.

Thus you can arbitrage 19% right there.

Oh, and keep this in mind:

1) Events go bad - hurts Obama more, unless its war with Iran or something, but even then he could bungle it.

2) Gaffes - you didn't build it man can make a gaffe at least the same rate as Romney. - That's a push.

3) Events go bad economically - bad for Obama. Unlikely to have anything GREAT for Obama occur, economically.

I think I will look into intrade as well. 70/30 is a damn good odds.

Posted by: Sexypig at September 23, 2012 02:16 AM (dZQh7)

403 Also, I have been having this strange feeling about Romney. I think he actually plans strategy shit. Look how Ryan deflated Mediscare pretty decently. Jijitusu that had been thought through.

Look how his primary win was a squeaker, but it leaves Obama grasping at 47% style gaffes for his big wins instead of social issue stuff, Akin aside,...and tax returns now? 4 million to charity!

I think Romney has a plan for his money, and is being smart. OMG release the Kraken!!iiii! is not his plan, because he has thought it through. He's willing to take some initial losses for future profits, and is willing to wait for things to bear fruit rather than flail.

I suspect he will have an October Surprise, too.
