From what I read, it's a more lovey-dovey humanizing speech than I would want, but I don't fear; I'm pretty sure he's holding the tough stuff back, so it's fresh when he delivers it. You don't telegraph your blows, after all. No one reading Ryan's excerpts would have realized what a thorough skull-f***ing he planned to deliver. Here's one sharp line:

I really like the tone of this convention. Lots of new Pubbies as opposed to '08. Also, more issues this cycle. It sure is nice to be treated like an adult for once. We can actually make an informed decision when we have accurate information.

Julian Castro is just another empty suit just like former mayor Henry Cisneros. Julian's claim to fame is when he ran for mayor the first time he had a scheduling conflict. Instead of letting one of the groups know he could not attend he sent twin brother Joaquin Castro to fill in without telling the group he wasn't Julian. Phillip Hardburger won but was term limited and that allowed Julian to run again.
Joaquin Castro is now running for the 20th congressional district in Texas to replace Charlie Gonzales and I'm sure Mayor Julian will get the city machine behind him along with LULAC, MALDEF and a bunch of the other corrupt Democrat groups.

Actually, as weird and impossible as it is, I've always though that the last 2 minutes of "A Promise" would make the GREATEST post-convention 'innovative inspirational' playout music. ("Light on the water...wind on the waves...")
