Democrats Pushing To Make It a Law That Obama Must Release His College Transcripts

Well, actually, they're trying to make it a law that presidential candidates must release 10 years of tax returns, but the college transcripts thing is just an amendment away.

I don't believe this would even be constitutional, because the courts have interpreted the Constitution's qualifications for the presidency -- age 35, natural born citizen -- as the only qualifications; that is, the Constitution's list of qualifications is presumed intentionally complete and no further qualifications will be permitted.

If Congress presumes to demand that a candidate do x or y, what is the penalty for noncompliance? You can't say "Well then you can't run for President" because, again, the Constitution's qualifications cannot be added to legislatively.

But sure, I'd like to see Obama's transcripts. And unlike Mike Flynn, I am curious about his actual grades.

But if it makes it easier to get the grades if I say "I'm just interested in what courses he took," okay, I'm just interested in what courses he took.

Flynn makes a good point: They say Romney's business experience is the central justification for his election, and ergo, the public has the right to have all of his financial records exposed.

Well, ditto for Obama and his supposedly-outstanding academic record.

Let's see the grades, Genius.

First, it's Harvard Law school, not Harvard Math school.

Second, when he graduated, MCL was awarded to the "top 30%"

Third, if he's so awesomely brilliant, this would be a slam-dunk, unless his good grades were in easy classes, seminars and those without objective grading.

lmao

From the NYT:

"One of the most exclusive clubs in academe is a Harvard University dual-degree program allowing graduate students to attend its law and business schools simultaneously, cramming five years of education into four. On average, about 12 people per year have completed the program — the overachievers of the overachievers — including a striking number of big names in finance, industry, law and government.

The program is so small that it has drawn little attention outside rarefied circles, but that may change as its most famous graduate, Mitt Romney, campaigns for the White House, subjecting every phase of his life to scrutiny.

When Harvard started its so-called J.D.-M.B.A. program in 1969, there were just a handful like it. Others have cropped up since, but Harvard’s has what may be the most successful alumni roster, particularly in finance."

To be fair: Law school is a 1-year degree that they stretch to 3. Even after graduation, many students take a bar prep course. Much of the MBA is covered in undergrad if you take enough math and econ.

Sorry, I don't get impressed by these fields. I just don't.

87 First of all, there is no mystery as to whether he's an affirmative action case. He admitted it, in a letter, while at Harvard. This is no Trump conjecture; it was reported on by the NYT back in 2008. Google it, then spread the info far and wide. I understand lefties being in denial that their brilliant president is an admitted token, but I am baffled at how those on the right still think its an open question. HE ADMITTED IT. IN A PUBLISHED LETTER.

Second, he did not grade on to Harvard Law Review, meaning his grades weren't that great his first year. He was put in law review through the diversity plan. Thereafter, his grades were good enough to be designated magna, despite having graduated Columbia with no honors at all. Probable scenario is seminar classes, lefty professors his last two years defending the diversity policy by inflating his grades--especially in his final year, after being named president if the law review.

Joe Biden has yet to give more than 1.4% of his income to charity, in any year listed of his public tax returns. Many years, his giving to charity failed to hit 1% of his income. I still give more to charity than Joe Biden, while making 7 times less than him.

Evil Mitt Romney gave 13% of his sizable income, to charity, for 2010, the tax return he DID release.

"MBA" covers a lot of territory. Finance specialists are a very
different breed from marketing specialists. I gather Mitt was a finance
guy.

An MBA doesn't get into the meat of where the finance hits the fan. The most difficult thing you see is the Black-Shoales model of option pricing which is elementary Brownian motion. It's good stuff, but I don't see that being taught at Harvard's MBA program. You've got to either be a financial mathematician or a finance PhD.

stretch to 3. Even after graduation, many students take a bar prep
course. Much of the MBA is covered in undergrad if you take enough math

Sorry, I don't get impressed by these fields. I just don't.

I am interested in the 12/year number. How many enter the program?

Harvard
Law has a 97% graduation rate. 97%. And that includes dropouts, people
who die during the three years, people who get bored and leave the
program, etc.

126 I'm interested in Obama's college application form and whether he listed himself as Kenyan-born on it to gain a competitive advantage. He lied to his literary agent about his birthplace to profit off his book, and that lie remained on the agency's website for over a decade. Obama then instructed his agent to lie and say that the "born in Kenya" was a mere "fact-checking error" and that he had nothing to do with it. Certainly, if he would lie to promote his book, he would lie to get into college.

What "story" was he using then? That is the crux of it and what is likely to embarrass him and undermine his "narrative". Not his grades.
