Brett Kimberlin's Blog: Thank You, Hateful Lefties Who Support Me; The Donations Are Rolling In

Safe link to Aaron Worthing, who quotes a "CR" thanking people who support bombing, perjury, intimidation, harassment, and abuse of the legal system.

Thanks For All of Your Support!

By CR

May 25, 2012 - We want to thank all of you for your tremendous support this week. Keep those donations flooding in so that those opposed to human rights and progressive values will see that their malicious attacks on youth, women, activists, Muslims, and the 99% will not be tolerated in our beloved democracy. Please note that we are working closely with both state and federal law enforcement officials and have given them lists of all those who make inappropriate statements or contacts. Again, thank you so much for all the donations. We feel like Planned Parenthood after the attack on them.

Yes, this is why I'm saying that Congress must get involved.

If Kimberlin's outfits exist to harass and intimidate people, I would say such a charity is contrary to the concept of "charity." Certainly the US tax code shouldn't privilege such operations with tax-exempt status.

What is Kimberlin actually doing with this money?

Does anyone care?

I am coming to the breaking point with our alleged "representatives."

Meanwhile, his latest abusive filing -- seeking a Peace Order against Aaron -- is scheduled to be heard in court Tuesday morning.

In this hearing, convicted bomber and perjurer (and filer of 100 lawsuits, by his own count) will endeavor to demonstrate to a judge that he requires some sort of protection from non-bomber, non-perjurer, sub-100-lawsuits Aaron Worthing.

We need to formulate a legal strategy on this and need to start discussing same with legal counsel.
This needs to be advanced and continued to be advanced in the public domain through legal offense verus defense.
There are already laws on the books to combat this blatant mis-use of the legal system and the tax code affording exemption status to the subject group.

I was told that this all happened before "Truth in Sentencing" was adopted; but what defeats me is that he was sentenced to 50 years, was paroled, then had his parole revoked for hiding assets and refusing to pay the judgement against him in favor of the widow DeLong. He didn't improve in the meantime, but the parole board still let him out under some formula I don't understand.

Posted by: Polliwog

From what I understand from reading yesterday, the DeLong judgement, with interest, is now up to about $3 million. He's taking that tiny salary ($19,500 per the 2010 990 for JTMP), so he can say he can't pay. If he's misusing the money from the two nonprofits, my suspicion is that there's enough for him to live quite comfortably without drawing IRS notice; so yes, I think it would occur to him.

The thing is, if you read Singer's book "Citizen K", you find that Kimberlin figured out how to stay under the IRS' radar.

Clearly someone(s) HIGH up in the Democrat party obviously thought aruthless thug like him might come in handy and pulled the necessary strings to make it happen.

Those same persons would be the same ones protecting him today.

Kimberlin's protector(s) HAVE to be national level. State level drag couldn't buy him the kind of cross-state flexibility and consistent outcomes he gets. He's got to be protected by a fairly high ranking member of congress, high level DOJ employee, or someone on the Whitehouse staff.

A spokesperson for Sen. Hatch released the following statement:

Senator Hatch has had run ins with Brett Kimberlin before and they weren't pleasant. So it's certainly no surprise that Mr. Kimberlin has now taken to harassing and targeting conservative bloggers. Needless to say, efforts to silence and chill political speech are contrary to the values of our Constitution and First Amendment.

131 Thanks to all the bloggers and ace with the courage to stand up to this terrorist and his supporters.

The nail standing up gets the hammerblow. The threat of lawsuits alone is enough to make most people keep their heads down. If you have some wealth, the fear is that one lawsuit will strip it all. This same fear doesn't apply to the assetless, or the wealthy who can afford their own battery of lawyers.

As long as people can sue without paying all costs if they lose, lawfare will not end.

As to the more serious threats or intimations of violence, there are laws against it but proof is hard. Actual harm is the gold standard. Take Mark Steyn for example. He recently came out with a foreword to Geert Wilder's new novel, which he then wrote a lengthy column about his foreword and the great risks associated with it. Geert has a death fatwa against him and has to lead an armored life. Mark is likely to be targeted too for standing up.

Here's a link to Mark's column in NRO.

Thanks for the info.

Yeah, I'm just not up on what JTMP has filed, by whom, and when. I tried to check its status via GuideStar (a national database of charitable orgs) but the search turned up nothing. It's my understanding that it's a Bethesda, MD charitable organization and, curiously, the Baltimore Sun had a story from June of 2011 wherein it reports thousands of Maryland groups had their tax-exempt status revoked. (see http://articles.baltimoresun.com/2011-06-13 /business/bs-bz-ambrose-tax-exempt -20110613_1_tax-exempt-status-irs-list-tax-exempt-organizations) I don't know if a delisting would get one off the GuideStar rolls or not. Probably nothing to see here.

Presumably according to the MD Sec of State, charitable orgs must declare and provide for anyone who requests it current financial statements within 30 days (section 6-410 of the Maryland Solicitations Act) including:

"(2) The amount of total revenue, the amount of total revenue received from charitable contributions, and the amount and percentage of total revenue spent for the charity's management and general expenses, fund-raising expenses, and program expenses for the most recently completed fiscal year;..."

(see http://www.sos.state.md.us/Charity/DisclosureRequirements.aspx)

That would validate its current legitimacy and the broadest of views of its financial condition.

That's probably right, but remember, the call that got the police to Patterico's door went into the business line, not through 911. No doubt police departments around the country are reacting to that reality, and one of the effects of this is there will be slower responses to calls that DON'T go through 911.

So if one of your goals is to disrupt police operations, and make them less effective, there's that added bonus.

Yep. I'd read Worthing's post from the beginning of the week but Patterico's really showed that things were even worse than advertised. Vexatious litigation is one thing (although still something that needs stopped) attemting to use the police to murder someone is *quite* another.

154 #138 - AnonymousDrivel - I found the 2010 990 on Guidestar - I also reviewed JTMP and sent feedback about the summary page, which has two inaccuracies (just for a start).

Use the EIN: 27-0051467

And be certain to use Bethesda, MD. The 2010 990 is available.

156 Presumably according to the MD Sec of State, charitable orgs must declare and provide for anyone who requests it current financial statements within 30 days (section 6-410 of the Maryland Solicitations Act) including:"(2) The amount of total revenue, the amount of total revenue received from charitable contributions, and the amount and percentage of total revenue spent for the charity's management and general expenses, fund-raising expenses, and program expenses for the most recently completed fiscal year;..."(see http://www.sos.state.md.us/Charity/DisclosureRequirements.aspx)That would validate its current legitimacy and the broadest of views of its financial condition.

Oh, yeah, I had forgotten about that, Burt. I live in LA and have the local station's front desk in my cell, but it's pretty useless in getting a rapid response. Well, actually, 911 isn't always a whole lot better, sad to say.

I'm not actually sure I can agree with you on that. Even when a person is (for all intents and purposes) insane, there can still be a logical progression to their actions *even though the premises birthing those actions are wildly flawed*. At the very least, it means that an observer has some means of guessing their future actions as opposed to dealing with someone whose behavior is random.

162 #147 Polliwog - Maybe? I've read pretty much everything I could find since I first ran across this via Patterico's link to Aaron's post. It's a great story, very interesting and with lots of twists.

I loved something RSM said on someone's podcast last week - "It sounds crazy when you start off, 'Barbra Streisand's foundation gave thousands of dollars to a convicted domestic terrorist', and it just gets worse from there. The second you mention Tides and Soros, their eyes start rolling, because it sounds so conspiratorial." (Not an exact quote, just giving the flavor).

I've read so much I have lost track of where I found it. I should have taken notes!

Very disturbing. What if the commie bastards dress as a SWAT team and attack a victim? What if a real SWAT team gets a few of their members hurt because a potential victim knows there is no reason a legitimate arrest is warranted and believes the SWAT team is composed of commie bastards. Very dangerous game the commies are running here. Either these sick bastards know what they are doing or don't care. Either way, they present a serious threat. Would be nice if there was a law enforcement agency that was supposed to deal with these kooks and actually did their job.

Ammo Dump: "Anyone? Seems like a 'charity' having to provide the

Yes, anyone. And it would have to be thus. Consider someone, anyone, considering making a contribution. An individual would want to know if it's legit and what the overhead costs were compared to actual charity. Obviously a contributor is entitled to such data if the charity is getting special consideration by the government. To the latter, yeah, I'd considered that to be an avenue waiting to be exploited. I think it inevitable because this is the type of progressive Alinsky activism that Leftists embrace. I don't think "the Right" will be the first to pull such a stunt, but it's coming. If it can be abused, it will be.

192 Truly crazy (demented, insane, etc) people cannot think rationally; hence the labels. However, "crazy" people - leftists, say - think rationally all the time. They're able to calculate with crystal clarity the steps needed to carry out their purposes, wait patiently for prime timing to act, years if need be. They can and have worked diligently to bring their plans to pass, however ultimately self-destructive (hence, "crazy") those plans may be.

The problem you're having is that crazy isn't the right word in this case. Evil is what you want.
