AOSHQ MAY 8TH PRIMARY NIGHT: INDIANA, NORTH CAROLINA, AND WISCONSIN RECALL PRIMARY RESULTS

***UPDATED TOTALS****
WISCONSIN--FINAL
TOTAL D VOTE (INCLUDING R crossover votes): 669,278
TOTAL WALKER VOTE: 626,558

TOTAL BARRETT VOTE: 390,109
TOTAL FALK VOTE: 228,940
COMBINED F+B 619,049

If you accept Marquette Law's poll showing 17% of the Democratic turnout was actually Republicans, those numbers are even worse for Barrett and the Unions. Half of that figure would be over 57,000 votes, far beyond the 43,000-odd margin of total D vs total Walker Primary turnout.

******************************
Hello and welcome morons and moronettes to coverage of today's primaries.
I will be here blogging results through the evening, from now until Waukesha decides to post it's results for the Walker recall primary sometime mid-2017.

Busy night for poll-hungry numbers hounds like myself. While the Presidential primaries are over, the Mourdock-Lugar Battle reaches its epic conclusion, the fight over Amendment One in North Carolina is do or die, and today is the day for the Democrats to pick their candidate against Scott Walker, for bold Republicans to cross over and try to throw that, and for the remainder of Republicans to turn out and vote to show the Governor some strength.

Indiana results here

I will be live blogging results below for WI and a bit for NC. WI turnout for R's may be just as important as for Ds- if it's a lot higher than expected can squash the notion of which side has more momentum.

Pre-results predictions:
Upping total #WIRECALL turnout to 1.55 million. I expect 950,000 on D side but a surprisingly strong showing on the R's as wellm, about 600,000. Heh, boy did I miss that one on D turnout. With 930,000 signatures to recall the evil Fuhrer Walker, surely Democrats could have approached that turnout, right? Good to see R turnout slightly exceeded estimate.
Barrett will beat Falk by 10 in Wisconsin.heh, blew this one. Barrett crushed her by 20 points, even with Republican crossover vote to help her out.
Mourdock over Lugar by 8 beat EVERYONE'S expectations and crushed Lugar 61% to 39%
Amendment One will pass by a substantial margin (>15) got it

A small announcement- this will likely be the last time I link up outside source results onto AOSHQ. I have developed a method of directly reporting results here, totally bypassing (and thereby denying traffic to) CNN and the AP. It should actually report results faster, and help declare winners faster as well. I figured out there is a delay between county-by-county updates and what is reported in traditional media, especially if a county (Waukesha) takes forever and a day to submit their results. This will launch with the actual Wisconsin Recall Election June 5th, four weeks from today. It will feature a live blog like above but more importantly a custom-built interactive map of the state updated minute by minute. Why go anywhere else, when you can get all the information you need right here, at Ace of Spades HQ (not to mention giving the Head Ewok more traffic)?

Ironic, but the unions as you say have been spending millions in Wisconsin for this recall. And yet the candidate that they all endorsed, Falk, is most probably going to be the big loser tonight. And Barrett, the probable D winner, isn't going within a hundred yards of anyone on the union side.

They got their recall but they aren't getting their candidate. Of course, the unions will vote for whatever Dem is on the ballot June 5th, but it's funny to see them regarded by the probable candidate as more of a liability than an assett.

53 "36-year-old Chippewa Falls WI man was taken to a hospital with

Proverbs from the bible
A foolish woman is clamorous – she is insistent and loud (7:11). The world cannot stand her noise, especially the poor men born or married to her (30:21-23). Men will go anywhere to escape her (21:9,19; 25:24). Her chatter is like a dripping water torture (27:15-16)
A foolish woman is simple – she is gullible and vulnerable to most any stupid idea (14:15; 28:26). She is a silly woman of the perilous last days – our days – being taken captive easily by false teachers (II Tim 3:6-7). Fads and trivia on any subject catch her childish fancy. Truly a much weaker vessel, as proven by her total collapse in the Garden of Eden, she feeds on emotion, popularity, sentiment, and political correctness.

104 Mourdock won Terre Haute 57-43, winning South Bend 58-42, and is pulling even in Indianapolis (albeit with only 10% reporting). Unfortunately no results from Gary, IU, or Purdue yet, which I would imagine could be hotbeds of Dem shenanigans (although with school out, maybe not...). Also need to see more of Indy and Hamilton County (rich Indy suburbs) before declaring the race over, but so far it looks like Lugar's career has met its disgraceful end.

Now we just need to survive a 7 month temper tantrum from him and then we never have to worry about him again. Textbook example of a good guy turned elitist via the alluring grip of eternal power.

Lugar, 80, lost to state treasurer Mourdock, who was backed by conservatives ranging from the National Rifle Association to local Tea Party activists to the Washington-based fiscal conservative group the Club for Growth.
Looking toward the November election, National Republican Senatorial Committee chairman Sen. John Cornyn of Texas said two weeks ago that “it will probably make it more of a contest if Sen. Lugar is not the nominee, but I’m confident we’ll hold the seat.”

Indiana has some weird primary rules-

Ind. Code §§ 3-10- 1-6, 1-9
No party affiliation required at registration. Classified as a "modified open" primary." A voter must have voted in the last general election for a majority of the nominees of the party holding the primary, or if that voter did not vote in the last general election, that voter must vote for a majority of the nominees of that party who is holding the primary. However, there is really no way to enforce this, and cross-over occurs often. The same modified open primary is used for the presidential primary.

FORT WAYNE - An Indiana couple is accused of strapping four young children to the hood of a car.

Police say the kids, ages 4, 5, 6, and 7, were strapped to the hood of a car as it drove out of a liquor store parking lot in Fort Wayne. The car drove about three blocks before being pulled over by a US marshal.

A Fort Wayne newspaper says the kids agreed to do it because it sounded like fun.

Police arrested the children's father, 29-year-old Aaron Stefanski, for drunk driving and child neglect. Jessica Clark, 29, also faces child neglect charges.

The children were not injured. They were turned over to their mother.

A 54-year-old Oak Creek man was cited for lewd and lascivious
behavior Sunday after calling 911 multiple times to report that his wife
had stolen his underwear and pants.

According to the police report:

The officers found the man naked from the waist down after responding
to his 911 call .

The man was intoxicated and called 911 multiple times, stating his wife had stolen his pants.

He also was cited for misuse of emergency telephone numbers and was advised that his missing shorts were not a police matter.

Police issued a disorderly conduct ticket about 11:50 p.m. that night
after the man was seen hiding in a neighbor’s bushes wearing only a
shirt.

Mitt Romney has indicated that he would do the following five things as president. Which are you opposed to the most:
-Repeal Obamacare
-Leave troops in Afghanistan indefinitely
-Give huge tax breaks to billionaires and millionaires
-End Medicare as we know it
-"Get rid of" Planned Parenthood and ban all abortions
-None of the above — I support all of these things

I guess they forgot "turn over all the black people to the people from outer space" and "Allow Israel to bring back slavery"

http://tinyurl.com/7o5gay7

Luke Messer, the former executive director of the state Republican Party, won the crowded primary for Rep. Mike Pence’s (R) eastern Indiana seat.

Updated 8:33 p.m.

Across the state in southwestern Indiana, Rep. Larry Bucshon (R) defeated his 2010 primary opponent, Kristi Risk. He’ll face former state Rep. Dave Crooks (D) this fall in a race that Democrats consider one of their top two House pickup opportunities in the Hoosier State this cycle.

333 Check out this delusional fuck.

President Obama tried to make the argument today that he’s the real small-government leader, not Reagan and other Republicans.

“After there was a recession under Ronald Reagan, government employment went way up,” Obama said at a college in Albany, N.Y. “It went up after the recessions under the first George Bush and the second George Bush. So each time there was a recession with a Republican president, compensated — we compensated by making sure that government didn’t see a drastic reduction in employment.”

“The only time government employment has gone down during a recession has been under me,” he continued. “So I make that point just so you don’t buy into this whole bloated government argument that you hear.”

The purpose of the speech was for Obama to announce his “to-do list” for Congress — “just like when Michelle gives me a list, I check it off.”

“I’m going to need you to pick up the phone, write an email, tweet, remind your member of Congress we can’t afford to wait until November to get things done,” Obama said.

He doesn't care. He really doesn't. It's just a matter of keeping a constant flow of bullshit and accusing everyone else of exactly what he's guilty of. A typical lefty move, but Barky has never been constrained by even mild believability. And he keeps getting away with it, so it going to keep coming.

Pretty much no one in the public arena has had the sense of guts to call him a liar or piece of shit or retard or traitor or any of the other accurate descriptions of him and his dog-meat-filled pea-brain, so he has free license to continue just making shit up and accusing everyone in sight of everything and it will not stop.

With every idiotic and America-hating utterance that dribbles out of his dog-flesh-hole, it is demonstrated to America that this nation has no self-respect. Barky gets a real kick out of telling the most ridiculous transparent lies and watching how everyone pretends they aren't, as if anyone is even nearly as dumb as he is.

The problem is that their golden child is a narcissistic sociopath without the brains to follow the program carefully and correctly.

W.J. Bryant was good at this too. And Roosevelt was a master.

Just wait until they dip into the "Cross of Gold" speech...then we'll see fireworks. The topic may not be the gold standard -- it will probably be about race -- but the vitriol and populist foaming-at-the-mouth lunacy will be on full display.

Luckily I think that the American people are peeking behind the curtain...and they don't like what they see.

Men, this stuff that some sources sling around about America wanting out of this war, not wanting to fight, is a crock of bullshit. Americans love to fight, traditionally. All real Americans love the sting and clash of battle...Americans play to win all of the time. I wouldn't give a hoot in hell for a man who lost and laughed. That's why Americans have never lost nor will ever lose a war; for the very idea of losing is hateful to an American.
...There are four hundred neatly marked graves somewhere in Sicily. All because one man went to sleep on the job. But they are German graves, because we caught the bastard asleep before they did.
...My men don't dig foxholes. I don't want them to. Foxholes only slow up an offensive. Keep moving. And don't give the enemy time to dig one either. We'll win this war, but we'll win it only by fighting and by showing the Germans that we've got more guts than they have; or ever will have. We're not going to just shoot the sons-of-bitches, we're going to rip out their living Goddamned guts and use them to grease the treads of our tanks.
...I don't want to get any messages saying, 'I am holding my position.' We are not holding a Goddamned thing. Let the Germans do that. We are advancing constantly and we are not interested in holding onto anything, except the enemy's balls. We are going to twist his balls and kick the living shit out of him all of the time. Our basic plan of operation is to advance and to keep on advancing regardless of whether we have to go over, under, or through the enemy. We are going to go through him like crap through a goose....
...From time to time there will be some complaints that we are pushing our people too hard. I don't give a good Goddamn about such complaints. I believe in the old and sound rule that an ounce of sweat will save a gallon of blood. The harder WE push, the more Germans we will kill. The more Germans we kill, the fewer of our men will be killed. Pushing means fewer casualties. I want you all to remember that.

Thanks General Patton....this is what I feel like tonight. All Americans aren't insane.

Will the Ds now see going after Walker as a lost cause and give up?

BWAHAHA - no

Walker is now Satan+Hitler to them, an evil man that must be fought until the bitter end

580 @kevinbinversie 93% of WI Vote in, Walker - 577,684; Barrett + Falk - 545,636. #wivote #wipolitics (Eau Claire Co. must finally be in.)

*Also, the federal inmate has now won 8 counties in W.V.

581 No gay marriage in Sumeria, either.

Posted by: Genetic Tunder at May 08, 2012 11:23 PM (3yCFy)

There you go.

I was just ribbin' you. The one society that might(?) have had gay marriage (to some extent) I guess would be the Thebans and the Sacred Fighting Band of Thebes. They fought as gay couples, but I have no idea if even they had a concept of gay marriage for the home folks.

585 I looked and Oneida did go for Walker in the last election so maybe they don't lean Dem. Still awesome.

587 So much for low Republican turnout. From Twitter:

Stat of the night - with 7% still out, at least 109,575 more voted today than in the Presidential primaries

594 Woo hoo! There is some gnashing of teeth and pissing of pants in Madison tonight, I'm sure. The really delicious thing is nobody knows how many Falk voters are actually Walker supporters (I know of 2 conservatives who voted for Falk), so it was even a better night for Walker than it appears on paper.
Great results - and the Brew Crew got its' act together tonight and beat the Reds. I'm going to bed happy tonight!
