CNN Journalist Employee Asks George Soros to Create Super PAC to Help Obama

Noel Sheppard at NewsBusters:

“Whoever gets elected now has a much better chance of being successful than Obama had,” Soros said.

This led Zakaria to stunningly ask completely out of the blue, “Will you create a Super PAC to help President Obama?”

. . .

Zakaria next asked, “Will you vote for President Obama?”

Video at the link.

Recall that Zakaria also advocated updating the Constitution. Question: Why does this person still have a job?

Added: Commenter "Mr. Pink" mentions that Zakaria advises President Obama. I had forgotten about that.

6 Isn't "updating the Constitution" called "amending" it?

In that sense, I totally agree with Zakaria. It's time to amend the Constitution to neuter the Commerce Clause, that the liberals have managed to turn into pretty much the only operative part of the Constitution.

Well ... in actual American law no immigrant can retain the citizenships he held upon his naturalization as an American. This is very explicit in the renunciation clause of our "Oath of Allegiance":

I hereby declare, on oath, that I absolutely and entirely renounce and
abjure all allegiance and fidelity to any foreign prince, potentate,
state, or sovereignty of whom or which I have heretofore been a subject
or citizen;

Sadly, as with much else in this nation, this clear language is totally ignored by everyone. Lawyers make a total mockery of our law (and destroying much of its actual utility) by defending the idiocy of an immigrant retaining his other citizenship(s) even after renouncing them in oath by saying that the new citizen DID renounce and abjure his other allegiances but changed his mind right after the oath was done. Seriously. Because otherwise, no naturalized American would have anything but American citizenship ... as it was for a very long time, until our judiciary started to totally break with reality and sense.

Now, we've come to a point where the biggest political rally of the 2008 American Presidential election was in friggin Berlin, Germany, for friggin Germans! WTF? Think about it. It makes the head spin.

DAVID GREGORY: Let me ask you one more question about women. If you are President of the United States, and women want to work in your administration. Do single women without women only need apply? Are you going to respect the decision of women to come work for you if that's the choice they make, or would they be somehow held by radical feminists?

RICK SANTORUM: Well, I think if you go back and look at the people who have worked for me you'd find single women, we have married women, you've got all sorts of folks. You know, those are decisions I affirm. If women want to come into the workforce, great. If they don't, that's great. You know, we're going to look at the best-qualified people and there will be plenty of working moms who will be in our administration and be adding greatly to the conservative cause I believe in.

But YOU must. People who renounce citizenships and then use those passports should be arrested by the nation whose oath of allegiance they broke in that. They really should be required to report their renunciation to the foreign consulate (whether that nation allows them to relinquish that citizenship is another matter, but on US land they are considered no longer citizens of those foreign nations by their word in oath to us - which woudl be clearly broken by subsequent use of a passport or any other acknowledgement/use of that foreign citizenship, even so little as claims of it/admittances to still holding it).

And there is where the media stands today. In time, imho, the Internet will greatly help rectifying that bias. Gonna take continual pounding to accomplish this objective, you must realize. So let's not relax one instant.

MA taxes for paying off war debt was being levied against the farmers and was being used to take their land and possessions in court.

They petitioned the courts to adjourn until they could get relief from the legislature and the courts declared them in rebellion. So they did.

That has been the history of taxation in this country since the very beginning. The plitically "unconnected" shared the burden of taxes while others got the benefits. The "American System" at work.

Nothing wrong with asking legitimate questions. No reason to make it a focal point as he's by far a big enough fuck up in his own right, but no reason why we shouldn't be able to bring it up either.

All the same you cannot hold dual citizenship as a practical matter. I do not think it became as accepted or common or was allowed to slide much until the 90s. Not to pick on Israel, but I think Israel is keen on having lots of dual citizenship Americans.

Having dual citizenship / allegiance really does muck things up. If you have a person with dual citizenship that commits treason against one of the countries for which he holds citizenship on behalf of the other for which he holds citizenship, how do you prosecute that?

Well, when you're single you're banging illicit poon that can be different as often as you want it to. Therefore, sex is always exciting and new.

The advantage of married sex is that it's the same thing over and over again, year after soul-deadening year until you lose appetite for it.

There! Did that make it clear??

210 Just stopped by to say the Archdiocese of Indianapolis believes the bogus compromise is nothing but an accounting trick, and they had handouts today of the Bishops latest statement as well as a complete discussion of the issue with refutations of the White House talking points as well as petitions for us to sign. LOTS of people standing in line to sign them after mass.

People brought up why Obamacare should be repealed and all sorts up stuff while waiting in line. I brought up First Amendment and euthanasia and how private empoyers would be ordered tocomply and got people evenmore stirred up.

We are being asked to back up the Bishops and not let them stand out there alone.

Should be very interesting weeks ahead.

There's really no problem with any nation allowing dual/multi citizenship, but that nation needs to recognize that the dual citizen is in a clearly different category than the whole citizen who is nothing but an American in nationality - as he himself recognizes. The difference between the dual citizen and the whole citizen is that the dual citizen ALWAYS has an out. He always has an alternative to America where he holds legal rights to citizenship and residency and can therefore go to in times of extreme distress, if he so decides. The whole American has no such option, legally. He is wholly dependent on the state of America for his future. This is reflected in Constitutional law in the fact that dual citizens are not natural born citizens (they were not allowed to exist at the time of the writing of the clause and therefore could not be included in that foundational Constitutional language by fiat of their later creation) and cannot run the Executive branch ... otherwise shit like the last three years happens.

The euthanasia part is particularly apt these days. That will be the next shoe to drop. Since I was a lad, the Church that I was a part of (Lutheran) spoke in no uncertain terms about the evils of euthanasia, and I know that Catholic doctrine is pretty much the same. This is going to come to a head, and frankly I think the Republicans would actually be wise to let it run its own course without saying too much now, except endorsing First Amendment rights about Freedom of exercise of religion.

This is nothing short of a naked grab for power by the Obama Regime. The Constitution and the Bill of Rights is something they use to wipe their dirty hands with.

280 202 Can any of my fellow marrieds tell me: what is the benefit to being married that outweighs the benefit of staying single?

----

Well, I'm happily married (27+ years), but even if I were not in the happiest relationship I'd probably try to make it work b/c from what I can see (and read from the singles here) it's a jungle out there.

I know where my man has been, flaws and all. It would be scary as shit to go out and date fifty something year old guys with all the baggage and history they have.

I'm amazed people try to find someone through the internet stuff. 'Happy for the folks for whom it works, but I think if I *had* to go out "there" again I'd stick with dating in meat space. I'm a good judge of people when I meet them, not so much on the internet.

282 A fable:
Once upon a time a prince asked a beautiful princess, will you marry me? The princess said NO and the prince lived happily ever after and rode motorcycles and fucked cute skinny girls and hunted and raced cars and went to naked bars and dated women half his age and drank beer, Jack Daniel's and Capt. Morgan and drank milk from the box and never heard bitching and went to rock concerts and kept his apartment and his favorite jeans and never got cheated on while at work and all his friends and family thought he was cool as hell and he had tons of money and left the toilet seat up.
The end.

298 There's really no problem with any nation allowing dual/multi citizenship, but that nation needs to recognize that the dual citizen is in a clearly different category than the whole citizen who is nothing but an American in nationality - as he himself recognizes.
Posted by: really ... at February 12, 2012 02:16 PM (X3lox)

regarding the dual citizens not being natural born citizens. again, not to beat on the Israeli's but they do provide a useful example. I believe the right of return gives all Jews the right to have Israeli citizenship so even if you are a natural born citizen you are able to go get Israeli citizenship. I think there was a cas about an American citizen, a guy in his late teens to early 20s that killed a girl, took off, and eventually ended up in Israel. The Israeli's put up a real fight about extraditing him back to the United States.

Republicans have decided it isn't enough to try and defund Planned
Parenthood and to prevent birth control from being covered by health
insurance plans. Now they are attempting to weaken laws against domestic
violence and sexual assault.

The Violence Against Women Act
was first passed in 1994, providing billions to enhance investigation
and prosecution of violent crimes perpetrated against women. It was most
recently reauthorized in 2005 by unanimous consent in the Senate.

It's up for reauthorization again, but this time it received zero Republican votes
in the Senate Judiciary Committee. Why? Because Republicans want to
throw out provisions in the bill protecting victims who are LGBT or
undocumented, slash funding for enforcement, and eliminate entirely "the
Justice Department office devoted to administering the law and
coordinating the nation’s response to domestic violence and sexual
assaults."

I'm sure it's all just a coincidence Republicans are going to the mat to
weaken laws against domestic violence and sexual assault, to end
funding for breast cancer screenings, and to keep health insurance plans
from covering birth control. No war on women happening here.

Thanks for all you do,

Laura Dingleberry Clawson, Daily Kos

362 This is rich because I thought they were against superPACs. The work of the devil, in fact. These people are sociopathic opportunists who'd sell their own mothers into slavery if it helped King Obama.

King Obama's decree that Catholics must provide abortions, and probably eat the aborted fetus afterwords must be stopped at all cost. (check the law, would you be shocked if it were in there? didn't think so) The 'conservative' talking heads should be lined up and shot just for accepting the premise of the whole thing. GD, Obama doesn't have the power of decree.. he cannot just tell us 'rubes' how its going to be. We live in a Republic last time I checked.

This man is a TYRANT. However, there is little outrage among 'conservatives'.. This is our last chance to save our country. We must stop him. This is the turning point of no return. History books will ask "why didn't they stop him? They just rolled over, and 240 years of our Republic was lost forever. Just because people were afraid of being called racists... and to think these people were the type to ask why the Germans did nothing.. under much more sinister circumstances"

If Bush did anything similar that went against liberal orthodoxy, democrats would already be setting up the second Nuremberg trials

363 Speaking of PACs, I'm seriously considering forming one -- it would really send Mooch into a rage....

I'd call it the "Let's Move" PAC. The "Let's Move" PAC has one goal -- uniting conservatives in moving the trash heap that is the administration out of Our House.

Well, I love my wife, like no other. But today could be the last straw. I have this favorite hunting shirt that I wear all the time. I have it on now. Funny thing, I have been smelling something kind of fruity or sweet all day and I just realized it's my shirt. WTF? So I ask my lovely bride, um, did you get some new laundry stuff? Yes, she says, don't you just love it? Being the manly man I am, I looked her dead in the eye and said; are you kidding? it's awesome!

Remember lads, Valentines day is next week, so if you want a happy ending, you'd better start being nice, as of right now.

You can't even claim to have forgotten Valentine's nowadays... The endless Valentine's commercials and signs everywhere you shop make sure of that. When did this "holiday" turn into such a huge deal, anyway?

They're saying that Houston had a shitton of sedatives in her possession -- Lorazepa[l]m, Valium, Xanax and sleeping aids.

The medications specifically mentioned are all anti-anxiety benzos that can be used recreationally. There's nothing wrong with mixing them under a doctor's supervision; my sister, for example takes both Lorazepam and Klonopin.

The problem comes from gobbling a bunch of them down for a buzz and topping it all off with alcohol.

397 The Communist News Network (CNN) was founded by Ted Turner. He hired other communist such as Larry King. A lazy, exfelon who could not get hiredby any legitmatestation. His only ability was his ability to kiss up to Turner. For every hour you spend on camera or microphone, you must spend at least one and a half hours in preparation. He obviously did NOT. In the middle of interviews he would forget the names of the people he was interviewing! When reviewing a book it was obvious that he had not even opened the book, let alone read the book. Tuner could get him interviews with big time Democratc politicians, but all his interview were fonding. He never asking difficult questions.
