Chris Matthews Calls for "Radical Solutions," Cites Revolutionary War as Precedent

John Sexton at Verum Serum doesn't realize he's just building my Pyramid of Unifying Socialist Theory with his neat little bricks.

Compare too to Jesse Jackson Jr.'s statement that it's time for Obama to declare himself Tyrant and impose a solution on these squabbling Congressmen.

If the left wants a revolution, well, fine; then I guess we'll agree we need a revolution.

But which path? I'll choose the right-hand path over the left-hand path.

Notice how quickly the left's claimed "neutral" objection to radical politics and lack of compromise and a spirit of revolution has dissipated. Their objection was "neutral," they maintained, because they weren't taking a position (they claimed) on the political substance of this or that agenda item; they were just in favor of the supposedly politically-neutral value of incrementalism, bipartisanship, and moderation.

But they're disposing of that false pretense now. Now they're in favor of revolution, so long as it's of the socialist variety.

An awful lot turns on 2012.

It's difficult to think that there are organizations out there that want to prohibit you from hunting and fishing.

Even more unbelievable is these groups want to ban the very thing that protects you and your loved ones...BULLETS! Believe me, they know that if there aren't any bullets it will be nearly impossible for you to exercise your Second Amendment rights.

But, as we all know, the anti-gunners don't give up that easily. Even though a federal district court threw out a lawsuit to force the EPA to ban lead bullets, the decision was based on procedural issues. So the issue of whether the EPA can be forced to ban lead shot hasn't gone away.

Fortunately the "Hunting, Fishing and Recreational Shooting Protection Act" (S. 83 and (H.R. 155 was introduced. These bills would make the gun, ammo and fishing industries exempt by any backdoor EPA regulations.

You should start hoarding lead.

But of course, shamed by the squalid nature of their own reality, they hide once again behind the skirt of legitimacy, as if OCCUPY = Tea Party, and a violent bloody Marxist war against US citizens to officially end Constitutional Governance is just recycling the 1776 War for Independence. You'd have the equivalent of block wars happening at the neighbourhood and state county levels. The more isolated you are, the better your chances of not being displaced, so that's a plus to all the folks living in rural areas. The real ugliness is going to happen in large cities where people are in close proximity to each other. From Boston Business Journal:
"Say what you will about Occupy Boston, the protest-turned-street festival-turned sometimes-circus that turned a public park into a campground for the disaffected at least it's diverse, moreso by the day.
The latest additions include a man carrying a sign slinging hatred at John Lackey, the Red Sox pitcher who is catching a hefty helping of blame for the team's historic disintegration this summer.
"We are the 99 percent who hate John Lackey," the man's placard states. It also sports logos for a local sports talk-radio show.
A rather unkempt and apparently inebriated passerby ran alongside the sign-holder, shouting that Occupy Boston finally had a rallying cry with which the whole city could agree..."

Good defensive fields of fire and plenty of fish, waterfowl, and vegetables in the victory gardens too. Unfortunately it's also near all the hospitals and universities, so a lot of people will be heading this way WTSHTF and not to mention the college zombies.

199 I simply don't think the Leftwing mouthpieces calling for 'revolutionary' action or radical measures or outright political violence in the streets--those such as broadcaster Chris Matthews, cartoonist Ted Rall, or Congressman Jackson--fully realize the import of what they're advocating. And since the Left is the Establishment, in charge of the federal government, who arethe rebels here? Would the rebels they intend to fight be roughly half of the country who (peacefully and lawfully) oppose their agenda? Seriously? They're talking about me, here. You, too.
From what I'm hearing and reading, the moonbat Leftwants to declare a national state of emergency, suspend the forthcoming elections, confiscate individual wealth over a million dollars, nationalize the banking and energy industries, implement a multi-trillion dollar spending plan, nullify the 1st and 2nd Amendments, and (presumably) impose some form of martial law because I can't imagine any of these things happening without widespread resistance. Actually, I can't imagine any of these things happening at all.
Whatever is playing out like a movie in the lefty collective id right now is completely divorced from reality. Now would be a good time for the President to step up, use his much-vaunted powers of rhetorical persuasion, and tell his people to chill the hell out. That he is actually doing the opposite by voicing support for the OWS protesters is disturbing, to say the least.

If it actually gets to that point where there's organized deadly violence, it'll start low-level and nasty. Kind of like flash mobs, except with guns and explosives. And then it will expand from there. Everyone will be compelled to be armed one way or the other (which in itself is not a bad thing).
The police, if they do anything, will be helpless, rendered to just a clean-up crew, thanks to PC litigation laws. We won't be seeing much help from them.
The level of mistrust among fellow citizens (which will probably be the most heartbreaking aspect of all of this), unless they belong to a known defense element, will reach a point where it very may not exist at all.

250 The meek are about to inherit a world of shit if this stuff lights.

You know that the word "meek" really means "power controlled" don't you? That is, multiple-black-belt martial artist who, nevertheless, is gentle with all those he meets is meek.

In that form, the meek really will be the ones who inherit, well, if not the earth, at least the country. The Left will be powerless (by their nature) and the criminals will not have self-control.

Oh, goody, one of the resident Trolls is back. I've missed you.

Let's see, JEA, where can we start:
FOAD. That's a good place.

But, on to your statement: "We're exercising our 1st amendment rights so we don't have to resort to 2nd amendment remedies." See that? It was "so" we didn't have to have a fight: we never wanted one.

With this we have: The Governor of the State of North Carolina, a Democrat Congressman, and now a couple of media personalities all calling for some variation of tyranny and/or violence. See the difference? At all?

And what about the evil evilness of "violent rhetoric?" Whatever happened to all that?

No not really. The professional left embraces violence. They have no problem massacring people who are simply opposed ideologically. They love criminals (victims of society that they are), they hate free thinking citizens- especially those capable of fending for themselves.

All bluster aside stop and think just how brutal a revolution really would be.
Back in the War for Southren Independence the two sides were still roughly geographically separated.
We are now two nations sharing a common land and all mixed up together.
It will be more bloody than anything in human history so far IMO.
Posted by: Scott J at October 13, 2011 02:41 PM (/bVuS
If it actually gets to that point where there's
organized deadly violence, it'll start low-level and nasty. Kind of
like flash mobs, except with guns and explosives. And then it will
expand from there. Everyone will be compelled to be armed one way or
the other (which in itself is not a bad thing).
The police, if they do anything, will be helpless,
rendered to just a clean-up crew, thanks to PC litigation laws. We
won't be seeing much help from them.
The level of mistrust among fellow citizens (which
will probably be the most heartbreaking aspect of all of this), unless
they belong to a known defense element, will reach a point where it very
may not exist at all.
Your right. It'll be a very bloody, very sad period of time for my beloved country.
Nah, I seriously doubt it would last very long at all. My armor, my optics and the amount of ammo I have on hand will insure it doesn't last long. I'll see to it.

You looked up 'most popular sniper round' on a search engine, didn't you? FYI, the .308 is good to 800 meters, not yards. Lightweight.

Posted by: troyriser at October 13, 2011 05:03 PM (vtiE6)

344 #244: + a gazillion, you nailed it. The socialists/communists/dumbfucks are trying to bring back the same crappy government most humans have suffered through since we climbed out of the trees: "I'm better / stronger / wiser than you / descended from the gods, so I get to run your life and take all your stuff. Now do my bidding!" The only real revolution is the American one--suddenly we were governed, not ruled, by people we chose and held accountable. The OWS dipshits are trying to reenslave us, and they aren't even bright enough to realize it.

346 You know that the word "meek" really means "power controlled" don't
you? That is, multiple-black-belt martial artist who, nevertheless, is
gentle with all those he meets is meek.

JEA since I suspect you've never even met a multiple-black-belt martial artist and since I one and personally know several hundred others here is a tip for you: All but one of the ones I've met are Republicans.

You see it takes years of dedication, discipline and hard work to earn a high rank in the martial arts.. Those are all qualities the OWS protestors lack; years, dedication discipline and a desire to work hard.

Of course I am sure that in some computer game somewhere you are a highly ranked black belt yourself. Here is a hint about the real world: computer simulated black belts are real good for simulated fights - not so much for the real thing.

347 The Progressives may want a revolution, but they'll have the PLA and the Russians do the fighting for them.

Posted by: DaveO at October 13, 2011 06:13 PM (bnVQv)

348 @343 Don't condescend. Win .308 is NATO 7.62x51 near as dammit (SAAMI headspace rules notwithstanding). Used to be the British Army's cartridge of choice. I've shot a bunch of it. Out to a thousand yards (or metres, whatever), on occasion. At Bisley. Iron sights. Long range sniper these days is .338 Lapua or .50 BMG, neither of which, sadly, I have used. But don't get me confused with some wannabe.

Sure, I'm being a bit hyperbolic, but you think these OWS people aren't serious? They are running out of track while their gravy train is headed for the buffers. Listen to what they are saying. Don't think it could kick off in a pretty fierce way? The biggest mistake we make in the West is to hear our enemies telling us what they want to do to us and then to dismiss it as fantasy. It is not necessary for there to be a war that both sides formally acknowledge that they are in conflict. It might take two to tango, but fighting? One's enough.

OK, back to sleep.

351 I have no more use for the Chris Matthews of this world than anyone else but - and it's a big but - remember that there were at least three Fast and Furious type operations here in the US with gangs. Up in Indiana and Illinois. Not all lefties are philosophical wussies like the preciouses at OWS, some are philosophical at all and know that they can get more power through brut force than they could get in a million years through legal methods. OWS is the laughable cover for something very dangerous and dark.

356 Matthews sounded the lefty doggy whistle: "direct action." See the entry at Wikipedia:

American anarchist Voltairine de Cleyre wrote a famous essay called "Direct Action" in 1912[2] which is widely cited today. In this essay, de Cleyre points to historical examples such as the Boston Tea Party and the American anti-slavery movement, noting that "direct action has always been used, and has the historical sanction of the very people now reprobating it."[3] In his 1920 book, Direct Action, William Mellor placed direct action firmly in the struggle between worker and employer for control "over the economic life of society."
