Sec. Geithner: I'm Not Saying I Didn't Know About IMF Culture of Rape, I Just Couldn't Understand . . . Because I'm A Man, Or Something

This is your "what the hell?" video of the morning.

Treasury Secretary Geithner is asked if he knew about the "predatory atmosphere" at the IMF. He says "this is a hard question to ask a man." Except, it's not a hard question, for a man or for anyone. "Were you aware of the culture of rape at IMF" has two possible answers: "yes, I noticed" or "no, I just didn't see it."

But, of course, he can't say either because if he saw abuse then the follow-up question is going to be why he didn't do anything about it. And if he didn't notice what was apparently quite obvious, which he specifically says he's not saying, then the question is: is he unobservant, stupid, or lying?

God bless YouTube, because he picks a nuanced third way and he's really just a stupendous troglodyte:

So his answer seems to be: "yeah, I saw it, but I just couldn't fathom it, so I didn't really know what it was. Because I'm a man and women are, like, deep and stuff. So you should ask a woman."

This is post-PC neanderthal bullshit. Of course men can understand what it's like for a woman to be hounded by her coworkers and superiors. Men get pursued and abused too. It's certainly less common than mistreatment of women, but we're not talking about something completely out of the realm of human behavior here. It's not utterly unfathomable. You'd think one of "Barack's Beauties" has been pursued once in his life.

Incoherence as a defense mechanism. Who could have expected it from a professional like Geithner?

Geitner was a lot more involved in the 2008 financial meltdown and the subsequent restructuring of the investment banks than most people realize. He was essentially Paulson's right hand man. In other words, he knows where all the bodies are buried.

The gov't has had a symbiotic relationship with Wall Street for a long, long time. These folks just change jobs between the gov't and the banks but there really is no separation.

It is likely an evil two sides of the same coin thing. Without Geithner's connections we wouldn't have Obama and without Obama we wouldn't have Geithner.

Peter Geithner (Tim's Father) was director of the Asia program at the
Ford Foundation, a New World Order (NWO) operation. Peter Geithner
oversaw the "microfinance" programs developed in Indonesia by Ann
Dunham-Soetoro, Barack Obama’s mother.

Some trusts are neglecting the elderly on such a fundamental level their wards could face closure orders...\

Nah.

189 USSC AZ LAW UPHELD "In dissent, Justice Sonia Sotomayor noted E-Verify is a voluntary program, and said criticism that the federal government is not doing enough to enforce the law is irrelevant.
"Permitting states to make use of E-Verify mandatory improperly puts states in the position of making decisions ... that directly affect expenditure and depletion of federal resources," she wrote. Justices Stephen Breyer and Ruth Bader Ginsburg also dissented."

Not a lawyer but it seems Sonia's reason for objecting to State's requiring employers to use E-Verify is because it depletes federal resources. She is a Conservative - Who knew?

That is impeachable reasoning from the Latina who though, while at Princeton, that Spanish didn't have adjectives (yes, that is true) as it is about as stupid as it gets. The state makes decisions all day long that "directly affect expenditure and depletion of federal resources", like when they respond to a bank robbery or kidnapping (federal crimes) and thus force the feds to spend money sending ATF agents, FBI dipshits and US attorneys to deal with those cases.Seriously, the empathetic Latina retard should be impeached for making such a laughable argument. 1. Depleting federal resources is not within the Court's domain. If resources are being depleted then Congress can allocate more resources or they can change the law.
2. Since when did liberals start worrying about depleted resources?

And hey, that maid wasn't rape-raped, when she was just forced to have oral sex (which we were told isn'teven sex back in the 90's). Bill Clinton's legacy lives on! It might even be used to exhonerate a weasly French dilitantte.

271 OT (again, I know, I'm sorry!), but seriously, fuck the USDA.
First it was assessing a family$90K in fines (potentially $4 MILLION) because of selling more than $500 worth of bunnies in one calendar year (though it looks like the USDA may be caving on that, in a backhanded, bureaucratic way).
Now it's the USDA bunny policeambushing MAGICIANS who use bunnies in their magic acts. Apparently this has been going on for years, but it's the first I've heard of it.
This is possibly the best, most asinine quote from the magician piece:
“You don’t have any ‘live animal’ stickers on your carry cages,”(the USDA inspector)said. “That’s a citation!”
Yikes! That sounds serious. Marty (the Magician) inquired and, according to the regulation, you must have a sticker that says “Live Animals” along with an arrow pointing upward on the travel cages. Marty asked why? The answer was that, in case he was in an accident, the rescue personnel (the Rabbit Rescue Team, I suppose) would know how to pick up the carrier.
“I figure most people would just pick it up by the handle,” Marty replied. It was at this point the inspector showed Marty the clause in her book that says verbal abuse of an inspector is a felony punishable by up to one year in prison. Ooops!
You know, I'm beginning to think big gubmint might kind of SUCK.

Yeah, "reform" is abused as a cure-all term to replace law "enforcement" with forfeiture of human rights packaged with empty promises for what's "fair" and what you're "entitled" to "deserve".

Whichever word sounds comfortable rather than uncomfortable, and you've got the winning tagline.

The advertisement challenge would propagandize an embraceable cuddly term, as if civil liberties are deemed unacceptably radical by "common values" (Pelosi) Republicans and Democrats alike.

I fail to see the wisdom forfeiting a meaningful phrase on demand of revisionists. But so far as campaigns go, new slogans are catchy.

Civil Employment -- US citizenship prioritized, recalling FDR's New Deal along with the "acceptable tone" of polite civility.

275 what is the e verify system? What company benefits from the ruling?
It's an online system in which you type in a prospective employees SS number and see if its really them.
Normally people use the form I-9. I have out men fill it out when we hire them. It's pretty simple. You just need a name address, birthdate, SS number and two types of identification. Then the employer has to sign the I-9 stating that he say the documents and the information.
Then you file it away and have to hold onto it for 7 years(i think its still seven), but you never turn it into the government, unless they come asking for it.

Who benefits? American workers. Who does it hurt? Businesses who have been using serf labor that they can under pay and abuse knowing full well the illegal workers have no recourse like going to the police.

277 As a woman who spent almost 30 years working in a male dominated technical field I can say that the myth of the sexist, predatory man is just that. A myth. I can count the number of men who have given me a hard time on three fingers of one hand and every one of them was short and balding. The vast majority of the men I worked for and with were just the opposite. Helpful sometimes to a fault.
Now women, on the other hand, are a different story. I wouldn't trust the average woman to tell the truth about anything.

282 Heh! Heh! Way o/t but funny:

The US President rejected the invitation from the world-leading group of scientists and instead chose to visit a south London state school.

Sources close to the state visit said members of the Royal Society were “deeply offended” by the snub and had accused Mr Obama of being obsessed with his “street cred”.

The US President was offered the chance to receive the King Charles II medal, which is awarded in “exceptional circumstances” to heads of state who have “made an outstanding contribution to furthering scientific research in their country”.

The last person to receive the medal was Angela Merkel, the German Chancellor, in 2010.

The honour was to be conferred on the US President at a dinner where he would be introduced to “some of Britain’s brightest and best young scientists” as well as some of the society’s most prestigious fellows.

A British government source close to the Obama visit said: “The Royal Society was really keen to do something with Obama and they expected him to be very honoured by the medal.

“Instead they received a very short response from his people saying that it would be better for him to visit a state school.
“The inference they took from that was that he was more interested in cultivating his street cred than in building links with British scientists.”

He didn't deserve the award anyways, but LOL!

LOL. The retarded British "scientists" aren't even trying to act as if awarding Barky with some "science honor" (which is about as much an offense to the intellect as I have ever seen in my life) is nothing more than an attempt to "build[] links" with the Indonesian retard.

Being a man, with kids, I think it's pretty easy to evaluate the conduct of others. If I see someone doing something I wouldn't want my daughters to have to put up with, it's pretty clear some other man wouldn't want his daughters to have to put up with it.

He is so effing clueless. No he isn't. Barky goes to a country steeped in tradition and pomp and disses them. Slaps them in the face. Spits in their tea. Again staying to his socialist principles by declining an honor and insisting, through his minions, to visit a STATE school.
