Ghurka Fights 40 Men To Defend Woman From Rape; Kills Three, Wounds 8, Sends Rest Running

1 guts 2 moral purpose 3 a big curved knife.

Speaking of steel, I also got this from Instapundit: new very strong type of steel promises weight and cost reductions in car bodies.

And then, after telling us how awesome this steel is, they drop this at the end:

And yet, I've heard tantalizing whispers of the new breakthrough coming in aluminum. It's called covitic aluminum, where somehow they impregnate aluminum with carbon fiber.

Oh: Not related, but Charlie Sheen reportedly spent half a million dollars on women and drugs in the past half year alone.

His family is seeking to have a coservatorship declared over him.

Dead pool? Yup, looks that way.

Sheen works at the high end of plain ol' whores, not at the high end, which is way the hell more than $5k. So yeah, he probably pays about that much. $5-20k is the "name-brand whore" price. The high end—famous people only really rich dudes know are whores—is beyond Sheen's means. (Check out some "Here's _______ on ________'s yacht in _______" pics at celeb sites, and deduce.)
I only know a few Sheen's Night Out stories, but in all of them, he spends almost all his money on places to fill with whores and coke, not on filling the places. You can only do so much, y'know? If you've ever wondered how rock stars go broke when an 8-ball is only $50 and just about anyone will bang 'em for free, that's how: rent.

Steel is not only great, it's cheap.

Whenever you hear about new metals, think of it in the same way you do oil and natural gas.
We use oil and natural gas because they are relatively easy to extract and cheap. Steel is relatively cheap to make and cheap to buy.
Unless they can make these new metals at low costs, then people won't buy them, or more specifically car manufacturers won't buy them if they can't pass on the increased costs to consumers.

Missed it first round the other night. The sort of story we need reminding of, that against all odds, good prevails -- it's possible since it happens. Just like a Gurkha to bring a knife to a gun fight, and win.

Honestly, the article isn't revealing the whole story because clearly he was also armed with 2 GIANT F***ING BALLS OF STEEL which he clobbered the bandits with.

The Gurkhas, founders of the Kingdom of Nepal, were designated by British officials as a "Martial Race", the designation created by officials of British India to describe peoples to encourage recruits for service in the British Indian Army for inherent tribal strengths of character: naturally warlike and aggressive in battle, possessing qualities of courage, loyalty, self sufficiency, physical strength, resilience, orderliness, the ability to work hard for long periods of time, fighting tenacity and military strategy.

124 From the Gurka ideal, contrast against the
Philistines of Palestine and the Mouse who Would be King of Egypt, ElBaradei with the financial backing of the IMF.

ElBaradei stipulates that the Palestinians must be the centerpiece upon
which the New Egyptian government is founded. Top that with Dominique
Strauss-Kahn stating, with the best of intentions of course, that the
IMF is prepared to bankroll the New Egypt which by definition counters
the West and prepares to eliminate Israel, all for the sake of promised
stability. Tuesday as the IMF Chief warned governments to tackle unemployment and income inequality or risk war. "The IMF is ready to help in defining the kind of economic policy that could be put in place." Dominique Strauss-Kahn showed his cards. Bankroll/enforce the Muslim Brotherhood government in the name of peace. Consider his threat, "to tackle income inequality or risk war." So should the US Government
function according to the US Constitution rather than tackling "income
inequality", socialist code for redistribution of wealthpoverty, the globalist banks functionally "risk war" behind economic
policies pressuring our nation or any other to perform as directed by
the bank, for the sake of the hungry people, of course.

Not going squishy, there certainly is a time and a place for tough love, but I hesitate to jump in and blast a parent or family member in one of these situations without having walked in their shoes. Certainly not without knowing ALL the facts. And it goes beyond him simply throwingaway a fortune and heading down the path to an early grave. There are grandkids who are blameless in this situation that need to be considered. I don't know what the answer is, or if there even is a good answer. But I do know it's a horrible situation, and I wish all of them well.

First off, not feeling sorry for the kid -- at least, not compared to his stepmom and unborn half-sibling.
Second, this article is entirely predictable. For decades, opponents of capital punishment have been promoting the sentence of life without the possibility of parole as a "humane" alternative to the death penalty. This article unmasks their actual agenda, which regards LWOP as "execution by incarceration."

173 God help the Aussies. Will the Great Barrier Reef help dissipate the hurricane? Given that Australia is the flattest continent, with the roads already washed out, their evacuation might not have the opportunity to clear out the population in advance that was available for those living along Katrina's path on the Gulf of Mexico. They're likely heading for the Great Dividing Range aka the Eastern Highlands (the third longest mountain range in the world) unless there are no storm refugee stations there.
My friend there is in Innisfail. She's freaking out because she doesn't know if her little house will stand up. And you can't evac pets unless you have pet carriers. She says they're expecting the cyclone to be over their heads for a full 12 hours.

187 StuieC, I dated a girl about ten years ago who was working on a specialized degree in child psychology. She told me that the psychologicalage of maturity had been rising steadily for years and stood at age 26 at that time.
I wouldn't be surprised at all to learn it's around 30 these days. We live in a culture that encourages people to stay immature for as long as possible.
I hear all of these studies and remember that 100 years ago 15 16 year old kids were very often on their own taking care of themselves, starting families, and in many cases immigrating to this country to start new lives. Some were even younger than that.
Heck, 60 years ago we had kids lying about their age to join the military.

209 Charlie Sheen has been a bore all along, a one trick smart-ass. He lacks the quality of the classic vaudeville bum, funny and insightful, like the lovable Chaplin who artfully played his one chosen character for life. And Sheen certainly hasn't an ounce of the recovered Downing's acting talent. Robert Downing Jr. can play any character with dramatic conviction, whether Shakespeare or Iron Man. Charlie Sheen acts like the perpetual case of dysentery that the audience really doesn't even want to think about let alone experience, even if only vicariously. Just flush.

221 D&G handbags - Where Do I Look?
When we got there, I noticed that the place was huge with so many stores all in a row. As soon as we parked the car, I looked at the place and spotted a Coach Outlet. I was so excited and decided to make this our first stop. When I walked through the door, there were Coach bags everywhere. Being that I keep up with all the latest Coach bags via them sending me emails on the latest styles, one of the first things I noticed was that they did not have all the latest styles.
However, if you are a Coach bag lover like I am, you will feel like you are in heaven. As I browsed the purses, I checked the prices and the discounts were amazing. In addition, I was given another 10% off coupon from the clerk at the front door. I went crazy in this store and bought more bags then I should have, but I was happy. I never knew a place like this existed.
I always assumed the only way to buy these bags was from their official stores or at one of their stores that you can sometimes find at the local mall but I guess my mind has been opened. So, if you ever in Tannersville, PA and are looking for a Coach store, then check out The Crossings Outlet in Tannersville. You will be amazed at the discounts you can find.
If you have a woman in your life, or you are shopping for yourself, then you probably know all about Coach Handbags. Established in 1941, the Coach Leather Company has been making quality products of all shapes and sizes for men and women since its inception. Through the help of some well known celebrity endorsers and word of mouth among fashion conscious women, Coach Handbags have become their most popular selling item. Their incredible quality combined with the fact that these bags come in multitudes of colors and styles have continued their popularity. The problem is, of course, the price.
