On The Dem Campaign Trail: Bill Clinton More Popular than Obama

Obama's workin California, Delaware and Maryland.

Bill gets West Virginia, Kentucky, and BFE.

Ahead of Clinton's visit, Manchin is doing just about all he can to separate himself from the current president. In an interview on Fox News Friday, Manchin called the president "dead wrong" when it comes to cap-and-trade and earlier in the week the state sued the EPA over new coal mining regulations.

"President Clinton understands West Virginians and this is a great opportunity for me to continue to share my vision for West Virginia and how I will continue to stand up and fight for what is best for our state and nation," Manchin said in a statement Friday.

Manchin is currently down almost 5 in the RCP averages (I think there'll be another one out Monday).

I'm just enjoying the Clinton twist on Obama, he's far more popular right now than the One.

I suspect Preznit ThinSkin is having some heartburn over that.

1 Now that Obama is dependent on Bill Clinton for his political survival, it will be interesting to see if Bill lets him run for re-election in 2012.

2 Slick Willie did a job of positioning himself as a centrist (yeah, I know it was all image and no substance) that Preznit BigEars McSissyPants can only dream of.

It's gotta really stick in his craw needing Clinton (and his wife) to step up and go to bat for the party. You just know they'll take their pound of flesh for doing so.

Yeah, being shown up by a previous president, who remained popular in spite of repeated sexual scandals. And whose wife, almost surely, would have won the democrat party nomination, if it hadn't been for the liberal media blatantly going to bat for Obama over Hillary, has to hurt.

Not just the liberal media. All of the Democrat Party superdelegates figured that nominating Hillary would be political suicide due to Bill's unpopularity, and that nominating Obama would transform the Party's fortunes to guarantee a Thousand-Year Democrat Reich. The irony of their screwing themselves so deeply and thoroughly and painfully is frankly delicious.

Stuart --

Kamala Harris has always been a strong voice for Californians.

As San Francisco District Attorney, she launched early intervention programs to reduce the cycle of repeat offenders. She created her office's first Child Sexual Assault Unit and first Environmental Justice Unit. She prioritized the prosecution of financial predators, processing over 450 consumer complaints in 2009 and forming the state's first stand-alone Mortgage and Investment Fraud Unit.

Now she's running to be California's attorney general, and I am proud to stand by her. She is someone who understands the needs of all Americans, and I need allies like that fighting for change across the country.

Please sign up to support her campaign.

Kamala has done a remarkable job in San Francisco.

Now it's time to send her to Sacramento so she can get those same results for all Californians -- but she needs our help if she's going to win this race.

Join her campaign today -- and make sure to vote for her for attorney general this fall.

Thanks,

President Barack Obama

Clinton for all his faults was no Obama or Carter, he was re-elected only because he played ball right and didn't decide to be the second coming of LBJ, by allowing himself to be the Republican's bitch he helped his legacy out. Let's not forget though while he left w/ a 66% approval rating his favorables were at 33%, and Obama's approvals are at 45% and his favorables are at about 50%, both men have a polirizing problem but if I had to vote Obama or Clinton, i'd vote Clinton any time

77 Lemon Kitten, #50. But democrats don't have much in the line of standards. I mean, they're now trying to rehab Carter's reputation as president for gawd's sake. I think it has to do with their obsession with "feelings" as compared to actually solving problems.

These are the people who still think that the war on poverty, welfare/handouts, is a great idea, even though, if anything it has caused many poor people to stay permanently dependent on government handouts, living from hand to mouth. No end to poverty there. But it feeels so good to give free shit to people. And Clinton, between bj's tried to get health care reform passed and claimed to be really, really, really against racism. I just think it's a hoot that the midterm debacle forced him to reform welfare.

Howard Dean for President? He's got all of the Commie political tone-deafness of Obama with none of the "historic first Black President" cachet. He's the candidate the GOP would choose for the Dems if the GOP were allowed to choose the Dems' candidate.

He doesn't look so bad. He's still got some meat on his face. When a person gets really frail, they usually get gaunt as well -- you can see their skull under their skin.

104 They are using the bitter-clinger defense. West Virginia went McCain, Bush, Bush, Clinton, Clinton, Dukakis (Bentsen-I'm guessing he was as good ol boy as was available), Reagan, Reagan, Carter, Carter, Nixon, Humphery.
Kentucky went McCain, Bush, Bush, Clinton, Clinton, Bush,Reagan, Reagan, Ford, Carter, Nixon, Nixon
So Kentucky is dependably red wit the exception of Clinton's second term and WV is dependably screwed up but seems to go for the biggest grit?
Fixed some for you, WV is a former reliably blue state slowly becoming relaibly red, KY used to be a swing state and now it's reliably red

Clenis has never been successful campaigning for anybody except himself, including his wife. That's because the self-absorbed cocksucker can't help talking about himself because he views all these appearances as a chance to snag some strange, Plus he sounds like either his small heart attack (assuming he has the requisite organ) shutting off blood to his cortex or multiple stds have him talking like a fucking lunatic. That any women find that lowlife attractive is a source of great mystery to me.
