Breitbart: Now Exactly When Will The Media Be Issuing Its Corrections?

The Times makes a nonsense non-correction. Breitbart credits it as a correction, but I think it's crap: They claim that while racial invectives were hurled at Rep. Carson, there is no proof that members of the Tea Party were responsible.

Well-- Actually, there's no damn proof that any epithets were hurled at all, and in fact an awful lot of evidence against it, like videos.

Itís not enough because the Times continues to imply that something racially charged might happened on the steps of the Capitol, when we have shown conclusively, via multiple videos of the moment in question, that nothing of the sort occurred.

No, it isn't, it's a face saving CYA bit of crap and they shouldn't be permitted to save face this way.

Rep. Carson is a goddamned liar and so is the oft-claimed "Paper of Record."

Thanks DanF.

5 For 40 years running the MSM have been leftwing political orgs , who hire political hacks, to pose as reporters and run campaigns against Rs 24/7/365. They ruin lives, livelihoods, reputations and careers with impunity. All the while telling their audiances that they are just news orgs.

They are doing their JOB. No remorse, no pity, no apology.

So why don't we stop whining and treat them as such? They should be seen as the political opposition.

We run our own campaign against them, every reporter by name, every CEO, every Editor, every Corp.

We expose their families, we discuss their financial dealings, their backgrounds, their associates, their business holdings....

Discredit them as news orgs...the public should know of their duplicity.

50 Here is another interested thought experiment for the Morons. Most historians when writing a book or a paper regarding a certain subject, or even a general history text do their research for that project by viewing the old newspaper articles from the NYTs and others of similar nature.

How does that effect their view of history? How do they separate out the fact from fancy? If they take the writing of the NYT as gospel they would certainly get a very lopsided view of history from about 1930 onward.

The sad thing is that years from now with no one available that actually lived through the time period those NYT article WILL be the gospel.

Posted by: Vic at August 04, 2010 06:08 AM (/jbAw)

51 The truly ironic part is that liberals, if they're not an active part of the deception, are totally blind to this.

I was talking to a old high school buddy of mine who's pretty hardcore left. We were talking about the Good Old Times... we were both journalists after we got out of college. I quit after a couple of years out of disgust of the entire industry and joined the Army as a combat medic during the first Gulf War. He stayed in and found himself a comfortable niche in tabloid reporting (he was one of the few who got anthrax at the National Inquirer building) before suffering burnout.

On a side note, let me say that tabloid reporters work hard. I would trust a tabloid reporter over any "real" journalist any day of the week. But I digress.

So, out of the blue, he starts complaining that he's discouraged that the Republicans "have the mainstream media in their pockets," and that liberals always have to fight to get their message out against the constant conservative barrage put out by the press. When I reply "Yeah, yeah, okay, I admit, Fox does tilt right at times, but it's only one network..." he interrupts and tells me he's talking about all of them. "MSNBC and, maybe, the New York Times sometimes are in the center, but mostly they're center-right. The rest of them? Just fronts for the RNC and the Tea Party."

When I realized he was quite serious, he couldn't understand why I was laughing so hard.

52 All should go over to Big Journalism and watch the leaked katie kommie tape.

http://tinyurl.com/2g5jfnq

This is pure "journolist" in action, and what's more, it shows the attitude of the press even before anyone knew a damn thing about Palin. These comments were made the day her nomination was announced.

Attention Republican campaign managers! You must learn about these "reporters". Not only will they quote you out of context and distort your message but they will actively edit your responses to make you look stupid. And by edit, I am not talking about leaving part of the response out. I am talking about actually snipping and pasting responses between questions as they did with Palin.

This tape shows that they, or at least K.C. had a disdain for Palin on day 1 before she even knew her.

The other amazing thing about this tape is how stupid Couric is to believe that this kind of shit will never see the light of day. It may not be revealed until its too late for the campaign, but eventually it will come out and it makes the reporter look like an asshole.

Posted by: Vic at August 04, 2010 06:39 AM (/jbAw)

53 When I reply "Yeah, yeah, okay, I admit, Fox does tilt right at times,........

I stand with the liars. The racial slurs were flung.
I noes it, with all my heart.

84 Breitbart's embroiled in a full mode media campaign to destroy him. Since Obama's racist friends and the bigoted US media can't produce the goods to taint the Tea Party that naturally practiced civil restraint while protesting Congressional corruption on the steps of Congress, the media decided to go all out to lynch Breitbart any way they could.

Obama's men have unjustifiably raked Breitbart over the coals for proving that NAACP racism is alive and well (if that expression weren't so painfully not PC, I'd reword).

If Breitbart accepts non-apologies, he's stuck between a rock and a hard place getting the media to acknowledge that THEY re-edited the edited video he submitted that DID contain the final explanation THEY insist that he deceitfully cut out.

But why play nice with the bastards who cut out what they insist he cut out, the guys who framed him as their racist Pied Piper leading the juvenile public fools' parade?

To prove he's not mean spirited? That ass kissing didn't work so well for McCain's potus campaign.

Let's hope the minister's "teachable moment" is his own figurative ass getting kicked for pulling that charade.
