Good News, Ladies: Al Gore Announces Himself 1) Single, and 2) Ready To Mingle
Update: Divorce Not "Green," 2007 "Study" Finds

capt.b98c1a49b4a84391a763c0d04357948e-b98c1a49b4a84391a763c0d04357948e-0.jpg
I must prepare your brain-stem for egg implantation.

Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep? There's a robotic quality to his email about this, as you might expect.

Former Vice President Al Gore and his wife, Tipper, are separating after 40 years of marriage.

According to an e-mailed statement obtained by The Associated Press on Tuesday, the Gores said it was "a mutual and mutually supportive decision that we have made together following a process of long and careful consideration."

That statement has just as much of the drama of human emotion that, uh, well, that the infamous DNC kiss/Romulan Smothering Clinch did.

Friends say there's no affair responsible for the end of the Love Story, and I almost kind of believe them.

Former Vice President Al Gore and his wife, Tipper, are telling friends they "grew apart" after 40 years of marriage and there was no affair involved.

Or at least I can believe Al Gore hasn't had an affair. Not with a human being.

Al Gore can now marry longtime paramour Gaia.

40 years of marriage is a long time. After 40 years, I guess it's fair to say you're really not the person that got married so long ago -- unless you're boring and emotionally retarded, like, say, Al Gore -- and sometimes, the new person you are isn't compatible with the new person your spouse is. I guess they did pretty well. Not the gold, but an okay silver.

Hah! HeatherRadish nails the right take on this.

Marriage: Eco-friendlier than divorce?

Divorce isn't green, according to a new study ["new" in 2007 -- ed.].

The research, led by ecologist Jianguo "Jack" Liu, a Michigan State University professor of fisheries and wildlife, looked at international data comparing utility consumption and housing space per capita in married and divorced households. He found that divorce creates more households with fewer people, using more energy and water and taking up more space.

The analysis, published in the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences, does not look at the environmental impact of singles who have never been married, but Liu says he plans to look at singles in a subsequent study.

"If you have more households as a result of divorce, then you would need more housing units, and if you need to build more houses or apartments, that means you need more land, and that will contribute to urban sprawl," he says.

It's not just truculence here -- there's a real point. Al Gore and his acolytes continue agitating for people to live not according to their wants and needs but strictly according to the claimed needs of a non-existent life form/God they call "The Earth."

And yet whenever these shackles become inconvenient for them -- like, say, when they'd like to jet off to Copenhagen on a private Gulfstream (and, seriously? Who wouldn't? Someone offers to fly me on a private jet anywhere and I say yes), they make all sorts of excuses and rationalizations.

Like the rest of us do, or would.

But... that's the point. What is the point of this endless hectoring? Al Gore does not live his life this way. We all know that. What is the point of the hypocrisy and false piety, then?

Flashback: Erotic Poetry With Al Gore: Here he is, reading his Ode to Gaia to a CNN reporter. It's verse like this that really heats up and raises the sea-level of the ladies, if you know what I mean, and I think you do.

2 Maybe even Gore can appreciate the irony of his marriage cooling off while the Earth has been doing the same for several years.

/Seriously, sad that yet another couple is breaking up, especially after 40 years! "'till death do us part" doesn't apply anymore.

Yup. There's an angle somewhere. They already have half a dozen houses, so they could've "lived apart" forever and nobody would've ever known. Someone wants out in a big way, and it's gotta be Tipper.
Ever hear what kind of "arrangements" are made for U.S. bigwigs when they go on tours of the world (particularly in Asia)? I'm sure Tipper has too.
She can get 50% if she wants it, but maybe she'll settle for a nice round figure (say,$ 50 million) to let it go quietly after an "amicable" separation.

Tipper came to the conclusion that a life without Al was actually a pretty darn good thing. It was only when she was confronted by the thought of him wanting to settle down in Montecito with her, that she was pushed to action! Twenty thousand square feet--not enough space to live with Al!

fixed, was due to the years of printing money by Johnson/Nixon/Ford.

142 keep hitting my bro w/ the point that Carter wrote a book that was endorsed by Osama, he actually pulled out the "he was being a good christian argument", he actually argues Carter was mediocre not one of the worst:

"THE INFLATION WAS NOT Carters fault, it
was from all the excess years of Vietnam, thats like blaming Bush for
the bad Credit we have now thats been growing since Reagan. The
Inflation was Johnson/Nixon/Fords faults. Carter had HORRIBLE Foreign
Policy, but to say his domestic policies were all bad is being bias and
ignorant. Carter tried to balance the budget but made many liberals mad
wen he tackled Welfare Reform. Carter was big on Energy and put forth a
good plan, but he wasnt able to do it cuz Reagan was elected and
scrapped it as part of his plan to take down the Soviet Union. And yes
Carter is cooky, but he acts more like a Christian than most others. He
is willing to go to enemies and talk to them like the bible says. Yes
his verbal attacks on the Jews is disgusting, but I dont use one thing
to determine how I see a person

He is NOT one of the WORST
Presidents in History, the right says that as part of creating up the
Reagan Myth instead of looking at the truth "

178 "Carter
didnt make the mess of the 70's,
thats something that was put together by the right to make Carter be
Hoover to set Reagan up as the hero of the right. The mess Reagan help
fixed, was due to the years of printing money by Johnson/Nixon/Ford.
Carter tired to balance the budget and get rid of Inflation, but had to
stop becuz of attacks by both sides, Im not calling Carter a great
President, but hes not as bad as the right make him out to be

Carter's approach was that the Roman empire declined, the British empire
declined, and he was going to manage the decline of the US empire. His
fiscal policies and high taxes only made things worse, and his foreign
policy was atrocious. What we needed was lower taxes, lower regulation,
tight monetary policy and a leader that Volcker (brought in by Carter)
could trust to see the hard steps through.

Four more years of Carter and we would have been fucked. Reagan came in
and did all the right things. His tax cuts and military build up were as controversial and hated among the elites as was Bush's Iraq war. The NYT spent every week hamming the "deficit is going to kill us" meme but Reagan stood his ground (usually close to a helicopter where he could avoid questions) and in time he was proven correct.

His whole approach was the opposite of what the elites' CW dictated. They wanted higher unemployment, stronger unions, military build-down, more taxes, act like Europe BS.

Anyone that thinks Carter was not a failure and that Reagan did not change things was either stoned, stupid, or too young to remember it.

That's off by a couple of terms. Regardless, grant the damned Democrats due credit for Vietnam, too. To blame Carter's completely unreasonable
inflation-STAGFLATION on Vietnam is to blame Democrats in Congress as
well as multiple Democratic administrations JFK/LBJ.

/Count the progressive Nixon as the Kissinger revisionist of the Republican Party into the bipartisan socialist clique.

Why not blame Carter's poor economy on NASA? Or on expanding WELFARE and Education getting mushrooming tax funds?

212 It is sad really. This is a marriage that survived almost losing a child. This had to have been a strong marriage......makes you want to study them to figure out what went wrong....cause, seriously, after thirty years the "risk of divorce" drops precipitously.

I think someone on Batchelor alluded to a government agency that you wouldn't expect owing the ability to make sure you pay for your carbon credits and the nyt's reporter last night was talking about climate change like nothing happened with the data. So, I'm thinking this climate change thing is the next scheme to come down the pike to make sure people make uber money and you don't.

Or maybe it was Beck or Rush who said this....something about owning a light switch or something that could not be removed without a special government tool....scares the crap out of you..they postulated it was a way of making sure you don't use too much electricity and you pay for your carbon credits.....but then again...it was odd which government agency...damn wish I could remember...

have been working non-stop for the last twenty-four hours examining the
cargo holds of the three large cargo ships and I can say with great
assurance, that none of the equipment on board is needed in Gaza. The
equipment that we found is all equipment that we have regularly allowed
into the strip over the past year, said Levi. This proves beyond a
shadow of a doubt that the whole premise of the voyage was for
propaganda and provocation and not for humanitarian purposes.

Who knew that Al Gore was in Vietnam? Yes, practically everything he ever said about his service was a lie.

The normal rotation for Army and Air Force was 12 months, and 13 months for the Marine Corp. There were certain reasons for early departure to include wounds of a critical nature, mental instability, family tragedy with 60 days or less until normal rotation.

Al Gore's father Senator Gore managed to create another category for little Al, the "it's so dangerous and mommy want's Al to come home" special category for special little boys.

Al Gore left theater after 5 months which means someone else filled his commitment. Let me rescind the above comment because Al Gore was not a member of the fighting force, but a typewriter maven. She wrote useless and meaningless nonsense while the war fighter's were kicking ass. Al, you skrunt.

To your brother's credit, he gets the starting point of the problem correct with shit-for-brains Lyndon Baines "guns and butter" Johnson and trying to fight in Vietnam and form the Great Society horseshit simultaneously; those worked out well. Nixon was a forerunner of McCain in terms of pissing all over conservatives, although the mindless libs hated him for some unfathonable reason (probably because he fucked over commies when he was making a name for himself). He wasn't exactly an economic genius in terms of coming up with wage and price controls, a truly harebrained scheme that everybody thought, correctly, was stupid and would only produce shortages. Ford was pretty fucking clueless as well with his Whip Inflation Now idiotic buttons.
But Carter was the worst of the fucking bunch. He had no idea how to reduce inflation so he just fucked over everybody and then whined that the nation was stuck in a malaise. He was a precursor to Il Douche in that he loved to fuck over our allies about any obscure human rights failing they may have had, which is like concentrating on one pine-needle in an entire forest. His policy in Iran was a huge disaster, including fucking over the Shah who got in trouble for trying to liberalize things there and Mr Habitat for Humanity wouldn't even let him in the country to be treated for cancer when he was dying.
Tell your brother this: Carter was so bad that Ted Kennedy conducted a primary challenge against him. The fat fuck was hamstrung because Chappaquidick was still a pretty recent memory plus, when he was interviewed on national television and asked a simple "Why do you want to be President" gave one of the most clueless dumbass reasons that had people who liked him thinking WTF. So Kennedy lost but him sticking in the race until the bitter end showed how badly Carter was hated for his total ineptness. Plus the people he appointed were fucking goober hacks; I remember Hamilton Jordan and some other fuckhead were forever making dumbass comments that made it into the press, like"seeing the pyramids" regardingsome wife of an Egyptian dignitary with large cans.
Hopefully that helps.

One little known fact that recently came to light, when Hitler first started in politics, he was involved with the Communists. Then when the communists (ie. Jews) were becoming less popular, he switched to the right. So he was kind of this opportunist who may have even sold out his former party with knowledge he possessed of them. It also made the statement that Hitler at his peak was far removed from the drifter/academic failure he had been when he was younger. Due to his amazing propaganda machine, he was able to remake himself into something that had never existed before. I got the chills just listening to the program, it was as if the narrorator was describing Obama.

375 Personally, I have always thought Gore was abusive, ever since the 2000 democrat comvention. Besides that loathesome kiss, there was the "Getting to Know Al Gore" film at the beginning of the convention.

You only saw this if you watched C-SPAN, but I have several people who will attest to the accuracy of my statement.

In the segment where they took a tour of the house in Tennessee, Gore insisted that a piece of artwork be shown. He made a big deal of making sure the camera caught it. Tipper did not want it shown. What was it?

When she was in counseling, she painted a self portrait. NUDE, and about 8 MONTHS PREGNANT. THAT was what Gore was so eager to show to a nationwide audience.

Besides that being weird, I asked myself why it was hanging in the hallway where a grandchild could see it. Anyway, that confirmed to me that he likes to torment her. And also explains why mental health has always been one of her big issues.

I've been sure for a long time that ManBearPig isn't right in the head. As I stated on another thread, I think he's been conflicted over a lot of things, starting with his old man voting against the Civil Rights Act of 1964. Not that that would necessarily be a deal-killer for a politician's son except in this case the image presented was so far from reality. When he was a VP to Slick, I believe he marvelled at Clenis's political skills (including being able to convincingly lie) and was disgusted by his personal life, as I'm sure was Tipper. I think he convinced himself that in order to win he'd have to lie also even though he was terrible at it (in his favor the MSM never gave them the same coverage they would've to a Repub) and it left people feeling uneasy. He's never been particularly smart about anything as his crummy grades indicate; and he had to be nervous inside about the AGW horseshit being revealed as fraudulent.

It was within the first 24 hours that I realized why I divorced that bitch.

That is right, with a qualifier. In 1919 (if I remember correctly) Hitler was his battalion's representative to a far left revolutionary government. There is a question about whether that was because of his political inclinations or whether he acting in the capacity of a spy. He was a spy on various radical political groups just after WWI. In that capacity, he went to a meeting of the little known German Worker's Party, liked what he heard, and joined up.

To Hitler, race and the Fatherland trumped all. The Nazis were socialists, but as a means to an end. It was, he felt, the quickest way to the triumph of the Fatherland. He considered the Russians to be mongrels (as he did the Americans). He actually had a certain grudging admiration for the British and would have jumped at a proposed alliance.

511 To get out of this recessive depression, consumerism helps. But it's "bad" for the environment. Well, MSU blames Gore's divorce for augmenting global warming. So much for "higher education".

Green Tech, by Martin LaMonica

As if the burden of divorce weren't bad enough, people with failed
marriages can be blamed for global warming, according to a study by
Michigan State University. Divorced couples use up more space in their respective homes, which
amounts to to 38 million more rooms worldwide to light, heat and cool,
noted the report. And people who divorced used 73 billion kilowatt-hours more of
electricity and 627 billion gallons of water than they would otherwise
in 2005. Dissolving a marriage also means doubling possessions, from the lowly
can opener to the SUV. The report, however, did not estimate how many
more natural resources the children of shared-custody parents consume by
getting birthday and holiday gifts twice.

Not really, runningrn. Hitler was a sociopath, and he had much experience with wholesale killing. He lived with death for 4 years every day. He became quite callous to it. He intended to do things. And he was willing to crush anyone who stood in his way. He was a 24-7 workaholic to that end. Zero is just too unserious, too unstudied, too stupid, and too addicted to fucking off to be a more serious threat than we let him. He lacks the stones, plain and simple. He's a weenie, nothing more. Hitler was a force of nature, more or less. Not really even human. There is absolutely no evidence he ever had sex. None. He had no relationship, outside his single minded end, to anyone, after his mother died. Zero does not have even a whiff of the political acumen Hitler had. His fuck ups are legion. His popularity is plunging, while Hitler was handed the dictatorship of Germany by an adoring German population.

As people are prone to do as they get on in years, Tipper and Al were trying to agree on their will. Al wanted it all to go to Gaia First, Peta, Etc. Tipper wanted it to go to the (4) kids. This way, Tipper can leave her half of the estate to the kids, and Al can do whatever damage he wants to Humankind.

545 Good news stolen from RCP:

Gallup's generic polling shows the number of voters saying that they would vote for Republicans rising three points from last week, while the number saying they will vote for Democrats dropped four points. The 49%-43% lead for the Republicans is the largest that the pollster has ever recorded for the party. Moreover, Democratic enthusiasm for voting this fall fell a point, while enthusiasm among Republicans stayed about fifteen points higher. This indicates an even wider lead for Republicans once Gallup imposes a likely voter screen this fall.

560 My understanding is that the inventor of National Socialism was tight with Lenin, and Hilter was obviously a National Socialist fanatic. I wouldn't call Hitler a Commie, but he certainly was sympathetic to the idea.

The difference between the Soviets and the Nazi's are very small.

Posted by: Jimi at June 01, 2010 05:51 PM (fqxV7)

This I agree with. Which is why the Nazis and Commies in Germany went after each other so hard before the Nazis squashed 'em. But I'm pretty sure Hitler was never sympathetic to, or associated with, Commies or Communism.

Both believe in socialism, i.e., the economy under government control. They differ in that Marxists/communists see the organizing principle as social class, regardless of nationality (hence their emphasis on internationalism, "workers of the world" and all that), whereas Mussolini (the founder of National Socialism) and later Hitler saw it as nationality and race, regardless of class, hence their emphasis on nationalism (ein Reich, ein Volk, ein Fuehrer).

Mussolini had been a Marxist, and at one time was well-regarded by Lenin, but from his experiences in WWI realized that nationalism was a stronger unifying force than class solidarity.

That pretty much is them admitting that the Natives weren't some peaceful group before white people showed up. They also mentioned the Triangular Trade in regards to slavery. What I really couldn't stand was the narrator. Every other event was "what happens next will change america forever" and variations of that. But its always the sequence of "what happens.....Forever." Sometimes they show the old stuff during the day, then it isn't so bad (like I said, wish I got the Military Channel; watched it in the hotel when I was out for my second kid's graduation and really enjoyed it -- but my cable doesn't carry it sadly).

632 Greetings I bring from the dominant insectoid of Gor, whose Priest Lords over a century ago delivered into your toxic atmospheres the cocoon containing the ick of Expeditionary Ambassador Al-Ar Sar, aedeagian precursor to hybrid Vice Ambassador Al-Ar Jar.

For some time, since before the turn of the millenium, the Priest Lords have grown increasingly concerned with the Vice Ambassador's ick showing a too-pronounced tendency towards Gorian Gravitas Sag. This is a problem that does not occur with Gorians on their own planet, with its substantially lower gravity; but under the influence of stronger planetary gravitational algorithms, such as your own, it can turn Gornian interplanetary travellers towards their Neahuttian roots, taking on the appearance of unpounded pizza dough.

Fortunately, the trend reversible. All that is required is a change in sexual partners. Thus Al-Ar Jar's existing mate, the half-Huttian, Tip-Ur, is to be re-assigned to new duty as a talking muffin head on either the Shopping Channel or a specialized cable show involving females exchanging fluids via their terminus oviducts while being interviewed on their emotional responses by Gorian interuniversal news correspondent How-Ard, leading expert on your species' sterns.

Recently the Priest Lords learned of a solution to related problem of finding a suitable mate for Al-Ar to avert his trend towards neahuttism: South Carolina gubernatorial hopeful Nikki Haley. Naturally, to be sure of her suitability, the Priest Lords took the usual precaution of a full investigation by one of their interplanetary sub-intelligence agents, in this case disguised as a low level political operative, under strict instructions to sacrifice his general fitness to the usual douche-baggery test. Once the operative showed signs of succumbing to the fatal side effects of the test, the Priest Lords requested and received hundreds of thousands of records in the form of notes, blog entries, e-mail messages and the like, along with a (unfortunately far too detailed) summary report on the suitability of said candidate for mating with a Gorian Class D ambassador, and we're pleased.

The Priest Lords strongly advise that this should have no effect on said candidate's suitability for gubernatorial election.

That is all.

My understanding is that the inventor of National Socialism was tight with Lenin, and Hilter was obviously a National Socialist fanatic.
