Why? His district is more conservative than him. He'll pick up the GOP endorsement now. In theory, a more conservative republican could have won in 2010 there. So, instead you'll get a moderate R who is a former D, instead of a conservative R.

Republican is still a bad word in some parts around here, and I firmly believe that is the reason Zell would never cross over.
