Repeat from last thread i.e. why Twilight is evil.
Today, I woke up and looked in the mirror and noticed that my face was covered in glitter. I asked my wife about it and she said she put it on me while I was sleeping so that I would sparkle like Edward from Twilight when I'm in the sunlight. $150 dollars for a small bottle of Jade nail polish?
Hell, how about I collect all my snot and mucus, liquefy it, and sell that as Jade nail polish? I'll only ask for $20 per small bottle, so it's a bargain. Posted by: Kratos (on the back of Gaia, scaling Mt Olympus) at November 28, 2009 09:17 PM (otlXg) 7

*channeling inner left-tard* That's because she had a crack team write it. If Sarah had wrote it herself, it would have lots of pretty pictures and pages written out in crayon. *Left-tard off*. Seriously, somebody should get more retarded quotes from Obama's books and try to pawn them off as being in Sarah's book. Charles Johnson of Little Green Footballs continues to have to address the Climategate scandal, even though he's been claiming all week that it is a completely phoney "nontroversy". Kinda funny. Anyway, in the comments of his latest post about the "nontroversy" he says this about Pajamas MEdia: "Links to Pajamas Media are not welcome at LGF. They feature the writing of a white supremacist, and I won't allow links to them any more than I'd allow links to Stormfront." So, that's Mr. Rational's assessment of Pjamas Media? That it's the equivalent of Stormfront, a neo-Nazi web site? LOL! Isn't it time for the real story of Charles Johnson's departure from Pajamas Media to be told? What really went down, to cause him to go so far off the deep end? Posted by: franticflintstone at November 28, 2009 09:34 PM (VGbp5) Posted by: eman at November 28, 2009 09:36 PM (eSNGZ) 27

That nail polish wouldn't be a bad shade....for a doctor's office walls. I'm sure one of those cheap brands at Walgreen's will have a knock off shade in about a week or so for $4, and most people wouldn't be able to tell the difference anyway.

I was looking at some old photos of Marilyn Monroe not long ago. She
is indeed outrageously hot -- but it also struck me that she probably
wouldn't get in the door at any modeling agency or even porn studio
today. She's got some hips on her, and that waist didn't stay 24" very
long, even with Fifties-era foundation garments. She didn't have a lot of the features that "everyone knows" are sexy, and yet she was just about the sexiest woman ever, both on film and in person.

My old roommate used to have T-shirts that were not obscene and stupid, but had funny stuff like "Join the National Guard: See the world. Meet interesting people. Kill them. (Weekends only)"
The best was when we had our almost weekly fire alarm in the dorm and he was so drunk that when we returned to the building he got off the elevator on the wrong floor and an RA who knew him had to bring him back to our room. The T-shirt he had on read, "I refuse to have a battle of wits with an unarmed person" Some good times back then. Fuck high school: college had memories I enjoy recalling again and again. blah blah two guys say they were stripped and beaten . . . The accounts could not be independently substantiated. But in successive, on-the-record interviews, the teenagers presented a detailed, consistent portrait suggesting that the abusive treatment of suspected insurgents has in some cases continued under the Obama administration, despite steps that President Obama has said would put an end to the harsh interrogation practices authorized by the Bush administration after the Sept. 11, 2001, attacks. I know I have the awesome snow boots, but they will be used for visiting in snow, not living in. If we could just round up the liberals and toss them into the Marianas trench CA would be awesome. Although, there are a lot of signs along I-5 that say "Congress Created Dust Bowl." The farmers aren't happy that they're losing their jobs because of a stupid fish. Sorry to hear that your friend went through PublishAmerica to get his book out. If you happen to keep up with the publishing industry, you know that they are a known scam operator. Just Google PublishAmerica and see what nasty things come up. Here's a good overview about PublishAmerica at the Washington Post http://tinyurl.com/3oq2e All first time authors or would-be-writers are advised to avoid PublishAmerica and other vanity presses. Many good but naive people have been taken by these outfits. Go the traditional route, ie write and send query letters to legit agents and publishing houses and learn about the publishing process. kdbabear. Obama is a useless fool. What kind of fucking dimwit would not or could not make a decision to FIGHT or to CUT and RUN, based on his hand picked Generals assessments and well thought out and written military plans??? Obama doesn't know how to make a decision. He's a dimwit and a Chicago machine hack. Obama buys his allies and buys people to is side. This whole messed up fucktard Non-Leader purposely put off any decision good bad or indifferent so as not to PISS OFF any base that Opie the FUCKTARD thought might be useful in getting a SINGLE PAYER GOVERNMENT CONTROLLED health care plan passed. In this case Opies wet dream was Opie-interruptus, but Opie still wanted a foot in the door MARX style. Obama has even been filmed saying he wants SOCIALIZED SINGLE PAYER GOVERNMENT RUN HEALTH CARE and that it might take 10 years or more to force it through. That is what Obama wants. Marxism. That is what Obama is about. He doesn't give a fuck about our troops. Most sentences Obama utters contain lies. So Obama stalled the decision on the WAR he said was the most important thing. He stalled and allowed our MEN and WOMEN in uniform to LANGUISH and in some cases die.....FOR FUCKING MONTHS. For political reasons. Obama is useless and vapid. I remember that well, with the clown reading Fanny Hill to the kids and the actual talking penis and nuts in the VD ad, as well as the brown goop called Brown 25 coming out of a pipe. I sure didn't take mny mom to that movie. Posted by: TexasJew at November 28, 2009 11:56 PM (l7Ql3) 311

I just read the American Thinker piece about Obama's and Sarah's books. Regarding the Bill Ayers contribution, I read a long comment at Pajamas by someone with a graduate degree in 60s radicals, many of whom he had known personally and conducted prison interviews with. This guy is convinced that Ayers has Obama on a short leash, and will expose him if Obama doesn't get busy and do Ayers's bidding on education.

Thanks for the plug, the book was fun to write. PublishAmerica gets a lot of hate (particularly from established writers and big publishers/editors) but so far they've been fine. They are a good start for people who cannot get an agent or live in a place without big publishing companies nearby.
Despite the internet being an easy way to contact people and get information, agents and publishers are extremely reluctant to give information out about submissions and contact info, likely fearing a flood of crappy manuscripts. The problem is they act as gatekeepers and thus nobody gets in unless they know someone or can come to their door. PublishAmerica doesn't charge anything, and they put out a real book with a real ISBN and a real cover. They put the book out on every major online book seller and while they seem to make the bulk of their cash off people buying their own books, it is a nice start and it is nice to have a physical copy of the book. So don't get too concerned about the company; the problems I have with them have nothing to do with being ripped off or having them take advantage. I think a lot of the grudge against them is by people who are concerned with potential print on demand competition, to be honest. Ayers is a "bit player". Ayers should have been tried and executed for treason, conspiracy, murder, domestic terrorism, and a myriad of related charges. Ayers and his FBI 10 MOST WANTED wife Bernadine Dorhn, (from my hometown of Milwaukee), were allowed to walk free, and profit, after 10 years on the run, because the F.B.I. was found to have "illegallly" wire tapped them. Maybe the FBI did violate their and our Constitutional rights. How does that have any bearing on the ACTS these 2 pieces of shit perpetrated? This is typical LIBTARD THOUGHT. If your RIGHTS were in some way violated, you should not be held accountable for WHAT YOU DID. Legally that may be true, but as an intelligent, educated, moral, logical person, I AM NOT REQUIRED TO forget what these FUCKING SCUMBAGS did. Ayers is the son of CONSOLIDATED EDISON'S former chairman. He is a rich kid with a fucked up head. Ayers isn't a puppeteer, Ayers is a stooge who has been CODDLED, ACCEPTED and REWARDED, by a LIBTARD MARXIST CONTROLLED, education institution. If you put batteries in the freezer, will they recharge?
No. First and Second laws of thermodynamics. In very simplistic terms, a non-rechargeable battery is like a store gift card with a fixed amount of money on it As you "spend" electrons, they're gone off the card. There are other technical issues that can affect a battery's ability to deliver those electrons. A high current application can cause the battery to heat up a lot increasing its internal resistance and lowering its ability to deliver power. Cooling it off can get its ability to deliver power back in line with expectations, but it won't do anything about putting any spent electrons back. This is why a cordless tool battery that's been worked hard and is getting warm and seems to be fading can give you a little bit more when its been given a bit of time to rest and cool. arhooley, I'm so gratified that my loose CAPS and rogue !!!!! didn't stop you from reading my deep thought. It doesn't take 5 minutes to google Ayers and Ayers nonsense, to find Ayers nonsensical backtracking. Yes, Ayers did say he thought that he "didn't do enough". Ayers actually was quoted as saying that on 9/11/01. That is part and parcel of why I say Ayers is a "bit player". Just by happenstance, Ayers was given a typical LIBTARD platform, as Ayers rehabilitated his reputation. And the happenstance is that the NYT printed an interview with Ayers stomping on OLD GLORY on EXACTLY 9/11/01. Ayers talked confidently in the same vein of his TERRORIST youth. He is emboldened because his VILE VILE VILE VILE actions have never been ADJUDICATED, nor are the MSM fucktards smart enough or honest enough to ELUCIDATE EXACTLY WHAT AYERS ACTUALLY DID. Since that IRONIC intervew, Ayers has tried to re-write history, HIS HISTORY He's filth and he is/was very very close to Obama.

If they know what the stimulus is--like a movie--they can take the real-time brain activity and assign it values that correspond to what is occuring on screen. They could do that in other ways too (non-visually). Pretty soon, they'd have a way to re-create what people see. Seems like. Posted by: Chef Boy RDB at November 29, 2009 01:23 AM (q6dIH) 464

I went to elem school in the 90s so PC-ness was in full swing by then. We also did a singing production of the Nutcracker. Someone added lyrics to the score of Nutcracker. My grade level had to sing to the fast paced Russian score (the real name of that part of the ballet is escaping me). I really do think liberals go to college to get degrees in asshattery. Their indecency and lack of all things courteous is just astounding. Posted by: wherestherum at November 29, 2009 01:50 AM (gofDd) 506

I was hoping the anti-Prop 8 thugs would pull the same violent bullshit in the black and Hispanic neighborhoods of LA, but strangely, they did not. It would have been so very entertaining. I am now drinking a new drink, in honor of Christmas, called “White Christmas”. Also in honor of the fact that I watched White Christmas tonight at my friends house. The drink is one shot of amaretto, one shot of vodka, and heavy cream, shaken over ice. The recipe calls for a sprinkling of nutmeg, but I sprinkled mine with red sparkling sugar instead. If I were to make another I’d probably up the amaretto to so there’s about 2 shots of amaretto to 1 shot of vodka to make it a bit sweeter.
Nevertheless, yum-my! Posted by: ParanoidGirlInSeattle at November 29, 2009 02:08 AM (RZ8pf) 513

Why can't musicians produce music like they did in the 30s and 40s? This stuff is awesome.
About 10 years ago there was a swing music revival, "neo-swing" they called it, with bands such as Big Bad Voodoo Daddy, Brian Setzer Orchestra, Indigo Swing, and many others. Sounded very retro and really fun to listen to. I did not like Candyman, even though it sounded very good and Christine Aguilera can certainly sing, but the lyrics were just too embarrassingly raunchy for my taste. I remember that. I loved Brian Setzer and Big Bad Voodoo Daddy. The trend didn't last long enough, imo. I have a Brian Setzer cd and the Cherry Poppin Daddies. I didn't really care for CPD's album, though. Brian Setzer's was better. Posted by: wherestherum at November 29, 2009 02:14 AM (gofDd) 520

It's a cheap pair of earrings, and I knew one of the stones was probably going to fall out, but it still bums me out. Mostly because I got the pair in Saratoga.
