| None Dare Call It Jihad: The Same Reason No One Can Call It Jihad After the Attack Is The Same Reason No One Called it Jihad Before the AttackArmy Major Nidal Malik Hasan, 39, went on a shooting rampage at Fort Hood that claimed 13 lives and wounded more than 40. Three hours later, while the base was still in lockdown, an FBI spokesman dismissed suggestions that the attack was terrorism and said that a link between Hasan and terrorist organizations "is not being discussed." Yet, a little more than a week after the shooting we know that Hasan justified suicide bombings in an Internet posting. He lectured colleagues using the rhetoric of jihad. He warned darkly about "adverse events" if Muslims were not allowed to leave military service. He repeatedly sought counsel from a radical imam with known ties to al Qaeda. He tried to convert some of his patients to Islam--many of them soldiers troubled by their near-fatal experiences with jihadists. He printed business cards that made no mention of his military service but instead identified him as an "SOA," a soldier of Allah. And U.S. authorities knew about some of this well before the attack at Fort Hood. At Walter Reed--where Hasan spent the six years before his posting to Fort Hood in July--his superiors wondered whether he might be "psychotic" and worried that he consistently sided with jihadists over his fellow soldiers. The FBI had intercepted emails Hasan had sent to Anwar al Awlaki, an al Qaeda supporter with strong ties to three 9/11 hijackers. But the FBI did not know all that the Army knew. And the Army did not know all that the FBI knew. The participants in an FBI-led Joint Terrorism Task Force discussed Hasan's case briefly and concluded that it did not warrant an investigation. If they had performed even a cursory, unobtrusive examination of this man, his contacts, and his radical views, they would have quickly turned up a great deal of troubling information. Since the shooting there have been dozens of theories floated about Hasan's motivations. On the night after the attack, CNN's Larry King interviewed the ubiquitous "Dr. Phil" McGraw, who speculated that Hasan's counseling of traumatized soldiers might have in turn traumatized him and caused him to snap. In his November 10 remarks at Fort Hood, President Barack Obama suggested the cause of the shooting was--and may remain--a mystery. "It may be hard to comprehend the twisted logic that led to this tragedy." The FBI agreed: "The investigation to date has not identified a motive, and a number of possibilities remain under consideration." One of them, according to an article in the Financial Times, was "anti-Muslim bias." Here is another: Nidal Malik Hasan is a jihadist. That so many refuse to even consider this in the face of the overwhelming evidence might help explain why those whose job it was to keep us safe refused to see it back when it really mattered. The passages on page two about the radical Al Qaeda preacher Hasan contacted are worth reading, but I can't copy the whole thing. In the meantime, while the AP runs around fact-checking Sarah Palin, private citizen, we have thousands and thousands of American soldiers still at risk because of this head-in-the-sand mentality of an Administrations and a Media an a Military structure that refuses to see the elephant in the room. The aim of jihad is to decentralize and to conduct rogue attacks. This attack is as rogue as it gets. This was the perfect inside job.
The Army is complicit in this. The Media is complicit in this. The Commander-in-Shit-Chief is complicit in this. Ronald Reagan once said, "Don't be afraid to see what you see." The whole lot of them are cowards and slaves to political correctness run amok, and it is KILLING our people in uniform. Hasan followed this line of thinking through to its natural conclusion by citing a passage that calls for uncompromising warfare: Fight those who do not believe in Allah, nor in the latter day, nor do they prohibit what Allah and His messenger have prohibited, nor follow the religion of truth, out of those who have been given the Book, until they pay the tax in acknowledgement of superiority and they are in a state of subjection. That goes for you too, libtards. I hate the way they talk about "The Army knew..." as if "The Army" were some ultra-unified, monolithic organization where everybody should have all the right information all the time. Like any huge beaurocracy, it's compartmentalized and the people with certain bits of information don't always have the ability to get into the same room swap info. The only person with enough control over all the offices that had pertinent information on Hasan was probably a General at least, and if he convened panels to compare notes everytime he got an individual report of a soldier acting a little off, he wouldn't have time for anything else. NO organization, no mater how well-run, is safe from jihadists. Posted by: John M. at November 16, 2009 04:37 PM (AhAtc) 38

Within an hour of the shooting, the FBI issued a statement saying that the shooting had nothing to do with Islamic terrorism. Maybe he was disgruntled. Maybe he was suffering vicariously from post traumatic stress disorder. Maybe he had a hangnail . . Are they kidding? America has been at war for almost eight years -- almost three times as long as it took America to pound both the Nazis and the Imperial Japanese to the point of unconditional surrender. Almost seven years after defeating Saddam Hussein, Iraq remains at best a conditional victory, since the start of the troop draw-down, Islamic terrorist attacks have increased. As US forces pull out, Islamic fighters move in. Despite the estimated Taliban troop strength in Afghanistan of only 15,000 fighters, the commander of NATO troops on the ground told the White House that without an additional 40,000 Americans, the war is in danger of being lost. How can this be? The main reason is that it is politically incorrect to recognize the enemy for who the enemy is -- because doing so would create a Constitutional crisis. That is the reason that US officials are pretending to be baffled as to Major Hasan's motive for attacking his military colleagues. The Constitution expressly forbids Congress from passing a law respecting religion and from prohibiting the free exercise thereof. That constrains conservatives and Constitutionalists, but it doesn't explain political correctness. It all depends on the definition of religion. As long as Islam is a religion, it is protected by the Constitution. It is, however, also a political philosophy which advocates the violent overthrow of the United States, which is NOT a Constitutionally protected-right. The Left, which ordinarily despises religion, regularly refers to Mohammed as either "the Prophet Mohammed" or simply "the Prophet". The same Left would never refer to Jesus as "the Son of God" -- most won't even acknowledge that the Temple Mount predates Islam or that Jerusalem is a Jewish city. The Left has no problem ignoring the Constitution when ignoring it favors their agenda. The proposed health care bill shreds the Constitution, requiring individuals to purchase health care with their own money or face fines and imprisonment. It is simply a recognition of reality to acknowledge that the Left hates Christianity and everything it stands for. One of Barack Obama's first public pronouncements to the Islamic world was to deny that America is a Christian country in his speech from Ankara. The Left went wild. It is also a fact that Islam hates Western Christianity and everything that it stands for. The Koran says so in no uncertain terms, requiring that Christians under Islamic rule be converted, put to death or relegated to dhimmi status. The Left would fare no better than the Right under Islamic rule, but 'the enemy of my enemy is my friend' is the slogan of all left-leaning revolutionaries. If Islam will help bring down Christian hegemony, then Islam must be protected at all costs. That's why when an abortionist is murdered, the automatic and immediate assumption is that the assailant is a Christian pro-life activist. But when a devout Muslim shouts "Allahu Akbar" before opening fire on a crowd of American soldiers, they are 'mystified' by what could have possibly motivated such an act. One thing for sure. It couldn't have been motivated by Islam. That would be jumping to conclusions. Maybe he was a Christian pro-life activist? Posted by: sickinmass at November 16, 2009 05:00 PM (rYWEB) 43

Posted by: sickinmass at November 16, 2009 05:00 PM (rYWEB) Oh you'd better believe if this guy had emails to James Dobson from Focus On teh Family or to Jerry Falwell or Pat Robertson, if he had screamed "Jesus Saves" before he started shooting up the place, if he had tried to proselytize coworkers to Christianity or said abortion was murder, or passed out Bibles before this event, or worn a big cross necklace in the convenience store video, or said that women should be submissive to men during ground rounds, his religion/faith would have been extremely relevant to the media. They would have jumped on it like a pack of horny teenaged boys on a free toothless crack whore. Posted by: runningrn at November 16, 2009 05:07 PM (qP2BK) 45
In related news:
President Barack Obama today announced a new initiative in anti-terrorism, the Jihadi Early Warning System (JEWS). "In the war on terror, our best defense will be JEWS," he said in a statement in the White House Press Room. "Many of our national defense interests in the Middle East will be handled by JEWS. In fact, we expect that we will be relying on the JEWS for quite a bit throughout my administration." He expressed his hope that he would have to take no steps on the Iranian nuclear program and was confident that JEWS could handle it. Al Qaeda spokesman Hassan al-Hassan HacPtui confirmed the early success of the President's new initiative in a statement, saying "Any setback we encounter is the work of JEWS." runningrn.. Some of Hasan's patients complained that he was engaged in proselytizing for Islam, a grave breach of both medical ethics and Army policy. Had Hasan been proselytizing for Christianity, he would probably have been cashiered. Even Army chaplains are forbidden to proselytize -- especially Christians. In Hasan's case, however, political correctness dictated that he be transferred -- so he ended up at Fort Hood, Texas. He lived in a run-down apartment building where he commonly dressed in traditional Muslim garb. Many of his neighbors didn't even know he was in the military, let alone being an Army major. Hasan complained of being harrassed for his Muslim faith; indeed, there is some evidence that he was. A returning Afghan vet reportedly keyed his car and ripped of a bumpersticker praising Islam. Hasan had applied for exemption from deployment to either Iraq or Afghanistan, citing mixed loyalties. Hasan argued that a Muslim who kills a Muslim on behalf of Christians is barred from Paradise, citing the Koran. All of this was known to the Army. A lot of it is in Hasan's service record. (And should have been in his Army CID file) Posted by: sickinmass at November 16, 2009 05:13 PM (rYWEB) 47
Imagine if you will the sign post up ahead... It's a time machine taking us back to November 22nd, 1963. A phone is ringing. No. It's not a cell phone. We didn't even have Magic Jack on our computers to make long distance phone calls to most anywhere in the world. Hell, we didn't even have desktop computers in our homes. The phone rings. It's a land-line telephone. Ironically today the land-line telephone is most used by underground groups because it's harder for land-line calls to be tapped than today's satellite fed cell phones. The morning of November 22nd, 1963, a telephone rings. Lee Harvey Oswald answers the phone. The voice on the other end of the call triggers a Manchurian Candidate set of orders and rules and emotions through the right hemisphere of Oswald's brain. The intuitive side of Oswald's brain. The voice of that Manchurian Candidate trigger sets a series of electronic pulses through Oswald's synaptic network. The Manchurian Candidate pulses trigger on across the bridge of Oswald's corpus callosum to his left hemisphere. Oswald's analytical hemisphere. The side of his brain Oswald used to manipulate the bolt action of an Italian made rifle. The Mannlicher-Carcano rifle. The same rifle the Italian soldiers used in September of 1917. At the ill fated battle of Isonzo. When more than three hundred thousand Italian soldiers were slaughtered by German artillery. The Mannlicher-Carcano is a cursed weapon. Lee Harvey Oswald knows this fact of this weapon's history. This knowledge was part of Lee Harvey Oswald's training. A cursed weapon for a cursed path of action in November of 1963. The voice on the telephone triggers Oswald's orders. He climbs to the sixth floor to fire off three rounds in the general direction of President Kennedy's automobile. As diversion. While critically trained snipers establish a crossfire that kills JFK. Our time machine takes us some forty-six years away from November of 1963. A cell phone rings. Army Major Nidal M. Hasan answers. A voice from across the planet triggers the psychiatrist's neurons. A course of action is set into motion. Major Nidal M. Hasan unquestioningly picks up two pistols. Major Nidal M. Hasan is a Muslim Manchurian Candidate. It's suspected that Stalin, Jesus, and Vincent Van Gogh experienced Frontal Lobe excitations. Which creates not only mystical sensations but a sensation of superior abilities. These three figures in history experienced varying degrees of success or failure do to their supernatural behavior. Stalin died in bed at an advanced age. Jesus was crucified but has lived on for two thousand years in icons. A Van Gogh painting is worth easily a hundred million dollars of today's rapidly decaying currency. The money and the fame is secondary. The supernatural experience is what matters. When Michelangelo's artistic neurons kicked in during the painting of the Sistine Chapel ceiling, Michelangelo painted an image of God touching fingers with Adam. And now that's what God has looked like to ten centuries of religiously devout. Sensory deprivation, such as conducted in a saline tank, is reported to create some pretty strange imagery of chaos and creation in the minds of those being sensorially deprived for a good length of time. Which reminds me, I need another cup of coffee as I prepare for my annual observance of November 22nd. It's been a long day of being fun deprived... Heh. Thought I'd share an Email from an officer stationed at Fort Hood...
(sorry for the long posts) Since I don't know when I'll sleep (it's 4 am now) I'll write what happened (the abbreviated version.....the long one is already part of the investigation with more to come). I'll not write about any part of the investigation that I've learned about since (as a witness I know more than I should since inevitably my JAG brothers and sisters are deeply involved in the investigation). Don't assume that most of the current media accounts are very accurate. They're not. They'll improve with time. Only those of us who were there really know what went down. But as they collate our statements they'll get it right. I did my SRP last week (Soldier Readiness Processing) but you're supposed to come back a week later to have them look at the smallpox vaccination site (it's this big itchy growth on your shoulder). I am probably alive because I pulled a ---------- and entered the wrong building first (the main SRP building). The Medical SRP building is off to the side. Realizing my mistake I left the main building and walked down the sidewalk to the medical SRP building. As I'm walking up to it the gunshots start. Slow and methodical. But continuous. Two ambulatory wounded came out. Then two soldiers dragging a third who was covered in blood. Hearing the shots but not seeing the shooter, along with a couple other soldiers I stood in the street and yelled at everyone who came running that it was clear but to "RUN!". I kept motioning people fast. about 6-10 minutes later (the shooting continuous), two cops ran up. one male, one female. we pointed in the direction of the shots. they headed that way (the medical SRP building was about 50 meters away). then a lot more gunfire. A couple minutes later a balding man in ACU's came around the building carrying a pistol and holding it tactically. He started shooting at us and we all dived back to the cars behind us. I don't think he hit the couple other guys who were there. I did see the bullet holes later in the cars. First I went behind a tire and then looked under the body of the car. I've been trained how to respond to gunfire...but with my own weapon. To have no weapon I don't know how to explain what that felt like. I hadn't run away and stayed because I had thought about the consequences or anything like that. I wasn't thinking anything through. Please understand, there was no intention. I was just staying there because I didn't think about running. It never occurred to me that he might shoot me. Until he started shooting in my direction and I realized I was unarmed. Then the female cop comes around the corner. He shoots her. (according to the news accounts she got a round into him. I believe it, I just didn't see it. he didn't go down.) She goes down. He starts reloading. He's fiddling with his mags. Weirdly he hasn't dropped the one that was in his weapon. He's holding the fresh one and the old one (you do that on the range when time is not of the essence but in combat you would just let the old mag go). I see the male cop around the left corner of the building. (I'm about 15-20 meters from the shooter.) I yell at the cop, "He's reloading, he's reloading. Shoot him! Shoot him!) You have to understand, everything was quiet at this point. The cop appears to hear me and comes around the corner and shoots the shooter. He goes down. The cop kicks his weapon further away. I sprint up to the downed female cop. Another captain (I think he was with me behind the cars) comes up as well. She's bleeding profusely out of her thigh. We take our belts off and tourniquet her just like we've been trained (I hope we did it right...we didn't have any CLS (combat lifesaver) bags with their awesome tourniquets on us, so we worked with what we had). Meanwhile, in the most bizarre moment of the day, a photographer was standing over us taking pictures. I suppose I'll be seeing those tomorrow. Then a soldier came up and identified himself as a medic. I then realized her weapon was lying there unsecured (and on "fire"). I stood over it and when I saw a cop yelled for him to come over and secure her weapon (I would have done so but I was worried someone would mistake me for a bad guy). I then went over to the shooter. He was unconscious. A Lt Colonel was there and had secured his primary weapon for the time being. He also had a revolver. I couldn't believe he was one of ours. I didn't want to believe it. Then I saw his name and rank and realized this wasn't just some specialist with mental issues. At this point there was a guy there from CID and I asked him if he knew he was the shooter and had him secured. He said he did. I then went over the slaughter house...the medical SRP building. No human should ever have to see what that looked like, and I won't tell you. Just believe me. Please, there was nothing to be done there. Someone then said there was someone critically wounded around the corner. I ran around (while seeing this floor to ceiling window that someone had jumped through movie style) and saw a large African-American soldier lying on his back with two or three soldiers attending. I ran up and identified two entrance wounds on the right side of his stomach, one exit wound on the left side and one head wound. He was not bleeding externally from the stomach wounds (though almost certainly internally) but was bleeding from the head wound. A soldier was using a shirt to try and stop the head bleeding. He was conscious so I began talking to him to keep him so. He was 42, from North Carolina, he was named something Jr., his son was named something III and he had a daughter as well. His children lived with him. He was divorced. I told him the blubber on his stomach saved his life. He smiled. A young soldier in civvies showed up and identified himself as a combat medic. We debated whether to put him on the back of a pickup truck. A doctor (well, an audiologist) showed up and said you can't move him, he has a head wound. We finally sat tight. I went back to the slaughterhouse. They weren't letting anyone in there not even medics. Finally, after about 45 minutes had elapsed some cops showed up in tactical vests. Someone said the TBI building was unsecured. They headed into there. All of a sudden a couple more shots were fired. People shouted there was a second shooter. A half hour later the SWAT showed up. There was no second shooter, that had been an impetuous cop apparently. But that confused things for a while. Meanwhile, I went back to the shooter. The female cop had been taken away, and a medic was pumping plasma into the shooter. I'm not proud of this but I went up to her and said "this is the shooter, is there anyone else who needs attention...do them first". She indicated everyone else living was attended to. I still hadn't seen any EMTs or ambulances. I had so much blood on me that people kept asking me if I was ok. But that was all other people's blood. Eventually, (an hour and a half to two hours after the shootings) they started landing choppers. They took out the big African American guy and the shooter. I guess the ambulatory wounded were all at the SRP building. Everyone else in my area was dead. I suppose the emergency responders were told there were multiple shooters. I heard that was the delay with the choppers (they were all civilian helicopters). They needed a secure LZ, but other than the initial cops who did everything right, I didn't' see a lot of them for a while. I did see many a soldier rush out to help their fellows/sisters. There was one female soldier, I don't' know her name or rank but I would recognize her anywhere who was everywhere helping people. A couple people, mainly civilians, were hysterical, but only a couple. One civilian freaked out when I tried to comfort her when she saw my uniform. I guess she had seen the shooter up close. A lot of soldiers were rushing out to help even when we thought there was another gunman out there. This Army is not broken no matter what the pundits say. Not the Army I saw. And then they kept me for a long time to come... oh, and perhaps the most surreal thing, at 1500 (the end of the workday on Thursdays) when the bugle sounded we all came to attention and saluted the flag in the middle of it all. This is what I saw. It can't have been real. But this is my small corner of what happened. Posted by: sickinmass at November 16, 2009 05:35 PM (rYWEB) 49

No "Terrorism" here, just another "man caused disasters". Time to move on and let those pillars of law enforcement (FBI) continue to fight on our behalf. Just make sure you carry your own gun. The FBI is too fucking busy analyzing their own navel.

I want to know when Hasan will be charged with Treason. Also, if they plan to prosecute the 9/11 conspirators as common criminals, will they face Federal "Hate Crime" charges as well? Inquiring minds wanna know..... Posted by: wytshus at November 16, 2009 06:43 PM (C8byF) 52

This is the climate that our enemies are trying to create: one in which you don't know whom to trust. Thank you, sickinmass and tell your friend to be well. Posted by: baldilocks at November 16, 2009 06:44 PM (ckUJF) 53
"But the FBI did not know all that the Army knew. And the Army did not know all that the FBI knew. The participants in an FBI-led Joint Terrorism Task Force discussed Hasan's case briefly and concluded that it did not warrant an investigation.
Why, it almost reads like an excerpt from the final report of the 9/11 Commission. If they had performed even a cursory, unobtrusive examination of this man, his contacts, and his radical views, they would have quickly turned up a great deal of troubling information. ...and they STILL would have done nothing. Because THIS President has made prosecuting the War on Terror at home impossible with his denialist attitudes. an FBI spokesman dismissed suggestions that the attack was terrorism and said that a link between Hasan and terrorist organizations "is not being discussed."
By that definition, Tim McVeigh was not a terrorist either. Posted by: flenser at November 16, 2009 07:36 PM (gB6MQ) 56
The real reason that they cannot call it terrorism: they would be admitting that W kept us safe for 8 years and that Obama and his policies cause terrorist acts on our on soil again. Posted by: SandyToes at November 16, 2009 07:56 PM (4vamI) 57
Our effete ruling class murdered us, they will do it again and they will not allow us to stop them. When we point out that it was a jihadist that they had enabled by disarming our soldiers, they are essentially telling us, "Shut up! We don't know why it happened!" They take no responsibility, and will do nothing to prevent it from happening again because, "We don't know why it happened." Allowing us our right to keep and bear arms, and taking action to curb Muslim jihadist wannabe's, before they actually go jihad, is more than they will allow, so we will die again, for the sake of their political correctness. Damn them. Posted by: Chas at November 16, 2009 08:37 PM (yjDfo) Posted by: jason at November 16, 2009 08:58 PM (0HBVk) 59

hey 57
you are so right... I sure wish some of you would go to this blogsite: http://chaze77.wordpress.com/ I could not take it...some people were trying to convince her that it has nothing to do with bigotry if the facts bear out that this was a Jihad-inspired killing spree. BUT, now others are the Bigot and Ignorant to boot. I wish you would go there and set the record straight. It makes me really angry that Americans don't "get"it....
