Smartest guy in the room on Afghanistan

If this is true then just about all the worst fears we had about Obama as Commander in Chief are coming true.

WASHINGTON - President Barack Obama does not plan to accept any of the Afghanistan war options presented by his national security team, pushing instead for revisions to clarify how and when U.S. troops would turn over responsibility to the Afghan government, a senior administration official said Wednesday.

He has already had the advice of his entire military chain of command with a near unanimous call for for reinforcements to move to the strategy that won in Iraq. We have watched as he has heard from the deep wisdom of Joe Biden and Rahm Emanuel. We have seen him dither and quibble and show a completely ineffectual and uncommitted face to our enemies and the rest of the world. Now months after his hand-picked commander has told him the situation is bad and getting worse, our troops in the field fight and die without the support of their Commander in Chief. He sent 21,000 more brave men and women there and now they are flappin' in the breeze. How can a squad leader look his men in the eyes and tell them to saddle up and head out on a patrol, perhaps to be the last to die for a cause their President no longer believes in?

You can't set the circumstances for victory before you commit to trying to win one. You can't set your strategy based on the hope that quality government will just spring up in the midst of chaos with no security. You can't just magic a functional, fighting Afghan Army out of nothing without competent US forces to first beat the insurgency down to a manageable level. Then they take the Afghans to the field for joint operations to build their confidence just like we did in Iraq. If your goal is simply to turn things over to the Afghans, then hand them the goddamn keys right now. Make a couple of passes over the worst Taliban strongholds, bomb the living shit out of them and then bring our troops home.

Whatever decision you end up making, you have shown a complete lack of leadership ability. You have made the job of our military more difficult everywhere as our enemies have seen you are not the strong horse. This entire process reeks of politics and the hands of your slimy Chicago fixers Emanuel and Axelrod. Why do I think you are looking for someone to hand you a plan that lets you start retreating before your 2012 elections and an appointment with your left wing? Well the rest of us get to vote as well sir, and we are watching your every back sliding step. America doesn't go to war based on an exit strategy, we go to win. Think about that. Also think about just how wrong you were about Iraq, over and over and over. Go in to win or bring them home now.

Make the call!

-- Afraid to anger the Blue Dogs in the House and Senate and completely lose their votes on his pet issues if he can't compromise much with the far left.
-- Hoping some X-factor comes in to play to make the decision less divisive within his own party, or have some new event occur that makes the decision for him.

If only Obama could make a decision on Afghanistan that just angered conservative Republicans, he'd have no problem making up his mind. What will probably happen is the Afghan situation will get worse and worse to the point where Barack can justify a pullout because public sentiment has strong turned against the war because U.S. forces are being hung out to dry. And they'll be hung out to dry because Obama can't make a decision.

I wonder how much latitude to change tactics the commanders in theatre have.  ROE were changed last spring in anticipation of an Afghan surge, and now it appears no surge is coming.  Can the commanders at least allow close air support now, and not leave our guys to die outnumbered and virtually alone, or does that decision have to come from DC also?

No force in the world will ever be able to take and hold that much territory with that few troops and no force multiplier, which is what our air support is.  If these decisions are being made in DC, it's time to get our sons and daughters the hell out of there.

I'd rather we look like a nation of cowards than leave our forces abandoned in the field.

It feels like 1859 now, and it is once again about freedom, freedom from an oppressive government that does not listen, does not care and is on its own course contrary to the will of the people.  This times the roles seem reversed, more the northern states all into slavery, slaves to government and to a lying media, liberals don't just believe lies, they LOVE them.

96 87  Even though we know they are pussies, won't happen. 80 million gun-registered Americans in this country, plus the ones who aren't registered. Yeah, we may suffer for awhile, but they know better than to push too far.

No they will push and push not realizing it can explode.  Think of what they are doing in Calif, just started a ten percent tax off the top from people's checks.  And we are actually at 17% unemployment.  Dollar is worthless, only momentum is propping up buying power here in the States.  If this is not controlled within a year we will start seeing inflation running up to 50% or more, interest rates will climb to 25% or more...end of the economy as we know it.  This is all a fantasy world of the Left, they think they can just keep spending, but it is already breaking at the state level...NY, CA, and other states, not long before it will hit the federal level.  And these Obama people will act shocked, just shocked, even some of the MSM will start to point blame, all except Chris Matthews and Olberman that will still need to wipe their mouths after...well you know.

123 I guess that walk through the graves of the Afghan war dead didn't make the impression I had hoped it would make. Instead it appears it made the impression I was afraid it would make.

This man really sees himself as the savior of the world and even though he couldn't remember it was Veteran's Day not memorial day and even though his wife couldn't treat the honoring of the dead at the Tomb of the Unknowns with the solemn respect it deserved, I'm sure he truly believes he's doing more for the troops by this than by  making a decision. The pathetic thing is, he has so little experience dealing with serious decisions and life or death issues, he hasn't figured out that every day he screws around he increases the number of those tombstones at Arlington and around the world.

The Precedent knows that, as everyone does. That is his intention and has been from the start. It is part of his desire to exact revenge on America. He always intended to bleed our troops and demoralize our nation.

Why do you think he has any interest in helping the US? He believes he is here to exact revenge on us, which is all he's been doing since he slimed into office.

Avoiding any provocative words and all sense of emphasis, I laid this out for a friend of mine (former Navy officer). In the same room was a former intelligence officer and two retired Marine non-coms.

It was quiet, they had all placed their coffee cups down as I read the intro. One cleared his throat and had me read, word for word while noting the quotations, the entire article.

Not one of them said a word, nor made a sound other than clearing their throats or sipping coffee. At the end of it, one of the Marines spit out the sliding glass door and said, "That is beyond bad. That's the worst of the worst horseshit I've heard."

All of them were by this time shaking their heads. Not one of them offered anything but a slight frown. No joking around, no swapping "I can't believe the idiocy" kind of semi-insulting irritation. Just grim and quiet. And mad.

No sighs, just a couple times two or so of them kinda blew air out in a whoosh and looked around. For a bit I though I had stepped in something, fucked up because I had brought up a subject or presumed something I shouldn't have, me not being a vet and talking about something like this on Veteran's day. Kinda half apologized but was brought up short - "Wasn't you, don't sweat it, wasn't wrong to bring up. "

Last one out the door I stopped and asked what he was thinking. He just said, (and I'm paraphrasing)"Well, to be honest, all I can think is that the shit has truly hit the fan and in about 12 hours most of our armed forces in the world will know our president is willing to sacrifice them all in order to win an argument. That our president is a traitor and isn't fit to lead a dog, much less a country. That's what I'm thinking, And that scares the shit out of me, because none of them are going to feel like he's on their side at all." (the last sentence is near exact)

The last leader I recall who kept overruling his generals was Hitler.  That didn't end well.  Of course, Hitler overruled his generals to achieve victory.  The corporal was sure he was smarter than his generals.  Obama, by contrast, is overruling his generals to achieve defeat.  He's the community organizer who's the smartest guy in the room.

130 I'll be a Devil's Advocate on this one...so please be gentle.

1. Obama may be wanting to see more specific endgame deadlines and such - i.e. when exactly Afghan army units are going to be ready to takeover. He wants to pin some things down better, which if you normally read government reports and plans can be hard to do.

2. His own inexperience means he goes slow (not to mention flying everywhere for speeches) so he's a little scared to just commit without asking a bunch of questions, which may not be a bad thing.

3. There may be some 3d Chess move where he's getting the Paks or Afghans to be more serious by making them sweat.

I don't really buy 1 or 3. 2 is more likely, but do we really want on-the-job training for this?

I think much more likely: He wants to take the Nobel Peace Prize FIRST then commit troops, so he make a prettier speech. I think he has to commit troops. If you pull out and any bad stuff happens - your legacy is shot. It becomes Obama "lost" Afghanistan.

If it is #2, then all that does is show he's a bigger waste of space than anyone could have imagined - even the most amateur of managers, to use the term as broadly as possible in describing what the CinC is, knows when to defer to experts and listen to them when you yourself know the subject is out of your realm of expertise.

So basically, he's got shit for brains and doesn't even know when to ask for help.  Quite frankly, it makes me surprised that he filled any cabinet position ever, since clearly he thinks he's all-knowing on every single policy matter in existence and those yet to come up, and doesn't really need anyone else there to help guide him.

sexypig;

Remember Occam's Razor - the simplest explanation tends to be the best one.

If you take that into account, and the following: son of a communist, father (absent) was a communist, educated by communists (Dreams of My (commie) Father), mentored by a communist (Ayers), promoted by communists (Ayers and other Marxists), member of a racist church with a marxist-derived 'theology' for 20 years; The explanation is simple. He's a fucking communist and all communists by definition are dedicated to destroy the American way of life and identity (because it defies and invalidates Marx & Hegel's view of historic inevitability).

So, remembering Occam's Razor, the next point would be:

4. He's a fucking communist and wants the US to be destroyed.

My bet's on #4 still.

I understand you are just playing Devil's advocate (and The PRecedent is pretty damn close to the Devil, frankly) but none of your possibilities makes any sense. You cannot point to any other area where he had exhibited anything approaching what you are hypothesizing, so to believe that one of them would be operative in this case just doesn't fly.

The fact is that The Precedent's intentions are as clear as day, just as they are with respect to his domestic policies, just as they are when he rushes to incorrectly say that the Cambridge cops acted stupidly but cannot eke out an atom of honesty in the Ft. Hood terror attack. It is not stupidity (though The Precedent is an exceedingly stupid person). It is that he hates America, which pretty much everyone should have been aware of long before the election and certainly since the inauguration, as every single one of his policies, words, or actions has been designed to harm our nation. Every. Single. One.

The Precedent is doing exactly what he always planned on doing with respect to Afghanistan. That should be clear, by now.

Posted by: progressoverpeace at November 12, 2009 02:20 AM (A46hP)

135 SexyPig, the problem with number one is - it fails the highest "Laws of War." Not the Geneva Conventions - but the fundamental aspects of what the heck war means. Practically rule #1 is: "No plan survives contact with the enemy."

If we're looking for milestones "Once incidents-per-month in YY province is below XX, we'll  transfer the routine patrolling to a certified Afghan troop with 'advisors'." That's one thing.

If he's looking for "I need goal XYZ by June where we pull out." - in that case, just wow.

There is no such thing as a perfect plan, namely because there is an enemy involved.

Some persons who could be roughly construed as, and certainly portrayed as, on the right are inevitably going to do something rash and when that happens it buys them some time for their health care takeover and helps their race-polarization efforts if that doesn't pan out. The O-bomber is their bait.

149 And if the right doesn't act in some strong way before the elections they'll know that they're basically impotent. The left will then feel they can safely carry out widespread voter fraud, fed by funneled stimulus, because the goalposts will have moved. It's a ploy to drag things out, really.

Not that it'll necessarily work out for them. I always thought they'd use the O-Bomber to goad the right but I figured that he might move a little more slowly in the beginning to shore up his popularity but I now don't think that he's really up to that task. Besides, the Dems as a party have no restraint. Their strategy would work better but I think they have forgotten how to mimic common humanity. Most of them are just as aloofly inept and ridiculous as O-Bomber.

Then? How do you think they won this election?  Take a look at the maps.  Urban areas had more voters than ever before.  They didn't have to rely on only the dead rising this time.  Acorn didn't just fill out all those regristrations to flood the system, they used them to vote, over and over and over.  They cancelled out millions of legitimate votes and gave us our illegitimate government.

151 Al,

Yeah, no plan meets contact with the enemy, but I am putting myself in the shoes of a lawyer/community activist.

I can almost sympathize with Obama in that it must be a hard, hard choice for him who doesn't know much about the military, except....wait a minute - he could just say "go with McChrystal's plan" and if it failed nobody would blame Obama much.

So, it must be about politics. The Nobel, healthcare vote. Iran somehow?

If its healthcare, I can only imagine he is waiting for it to pass, and then we will withdraw from Afghanistan - why else delay?

152 Jimbo,
Obama is doing a great job of trying to defeat the enemy.  Everything he does is intended to bring the enemy down, and he is doing it very well. Give him time. You and others just haven't figured out WHO HIS ENEMY IS!!

He wants to be KING, not president. You can't be king in a republic (we are not a democracy).  As soon as he brings HIS enemies to their knees, he can be crowned. Then you and the others will figure out who his enemy is.

161 I used to believe either Obama was a commie or a Marxist, hell just a Progressive, which is anti-American or he's something much worse.

He's the much worse. I've seen many articles and posts but they all dance around the camel in the room.

The signs are all there we just succumbed to the PC we constantly bitch about.

Horowitz said that the radical left and radical Islam have united years ago. Where could someone with anti-American, anti-Christian and anti-Israeli views go and not stand out?

Where could jihadists field a candidate and said candidate look just like anyone else we're accustomed too?

The progressive left.

A famed socialist of old,Norman Thomas said this:

“The American people will never knowingly adopt socialism. But, under the name of “liberalism”, they will adopt every fragment of the socialist program, until one day America will be a socialist nation, without knowing how it happened..”

He went on to say:

“I no longer need to run as a Presidential Candidate for the Socialist Party. The Democratic Party has adopted our platform.”

If a socialist infiltrated the Democrat Party who's to say the Muslim Brotherhood hasn't also.

The Muslim Brotherhood has waged a "stealth jihad". Destroy us from within. Did not HAMAS get in power through elections? Isn't Hezbollah power sharing in Lebanon through elections?

We've been duped. It's a brilliant strategy. They got us so focused on his radical progressivism, which is dangerous enough, we overlooked something much worse.

Look at his actions since his inauguration. Look at his executive orders. He's never once made one slight remark against Islamists.

I know some of you are going to paste some quotes of radical Islamists who rip Obama. Well, there's something called teqiya(sic). Lying to infidels to advance the cause of Islam.

Even Castro, I believe, scaled back his praise of Hussein Obama so as to not give him away.

There's a common thread through all of Obama's contacts and it's Islam.

Perhaps when he was on ABC last year "My Muslim faith" wasn't a slip of the tongue. Maybe just a sign of who he really is.

Either a progressive or an Islamists, both are going to destroy our country if this goes unchecked.

But the war has reached our shores. For months many believed this administration will cause a civil war of some kind. I don't believe so. I believe it will be more a War of 1812.

The enemy here on our streets burning down our cities.

Please when you all laugh at me just don't laugh too hard and think about this.

163 President Barack Obama is fully committed to complete and total victory for the enemies of the United States of America and her closest allies.

Once you understand this, everything that he is doing which initially seems so strange and confusing becomes crystal clear.

The American people were suckered into putting a Marxist 5th columnist in the white house.  Millions will die because our electorate was lied to.

But rest assured that the chickens will come home to roost.  The American people don't like being lied to.  We don't like being conned.  We remember and we punish those who betray us.

164 xpost from Blackfive too

Remember Obama isn't concerned about victory in Afghanistan, he is looking for a tactical win on Obamacare, a stalemate in 2010, and victory in 2012.

Until Obamacare is dealt with, maintaining tenuous alliances with the "progressives" is more important then tenuous alliances in remote Afghan valleys. To his "progressive" allies this dithering looks "thoughtful" and "considered" -- maybe he will have some more meetings.

His decisions on Afghanistan will only have a marginal effect on the 2010 elections, unless they are disastrous or depress the "progressive" turn-out. Our troops are not going to let a disaster happen - so his safe play is to dither.

Dithering, however, makes an 2011 victorious exit strategy dicey and threatens his 2012 re-election chances, so expect some movement after the Obamacare cloture vote in the Senate. If Obamacare goes down (or gets delayed) - then things get interesting: a victory on Obamacare allows him to essentially ignore Afghanistan with the progressives and allow the process answer to go forwards, a loss on Obamacare means he will need a new horse fast. He can jump on a green (red) horse and ride to the left on Cap&tax; or head to the center - which would include victory in Afghanistan.

Going to go dither myself back to sleep.

I never believed Obama for a minute when he said he would fight a war in afghan.  Anyone that thought that Barack HUSSEIN Obama would lead a fight against  muslims  was living in a dream world. Any promises  he made about this part of the war  have turned out to be meaningless. I predict that alquida  will own Afghanistan  in 6 months.

This is not ,in ANY way, the fault of our Military. This loss in the WOT  rests  directly on the freakin pinhead of Barack HUSSEIN Obama. Seems to me  afghan was pretty quiet when George Bush left the white House. Now its a "disaster". Get ready  for  pics  from Pravda showing American convoys  leaving  Afghanistan . This war against  Islamic jihaddis  isnt  over  yet.  Its a loss that should never  have  happened  and  this will come back to haunt us.

God bless our TROOPS!

Truly not sure if his "plan" is (1) he really doesn't have a plan, he's dithering, terrified of making a decision because he knows how real the stakes are. He knows the hard left, his base, will bitch about any more military committment and he cannot afford to lose them before at least the healthcare vote. So he fiddles, hoping to buy time. Basically he's in over his head and knows it but doen't know how to get ouit of this situation.

Or,

(2) This is part of a grand scheme wher he never really intended to committ more troops, he really could care less about what he may have said, about our troops, etc. He's cynically waiting, pretending he doesn't want to hastily jump into a quagmire without being "presidential", and biding his time until the best political opportunity for him to pull the trigger and simply "bring our troops home where they should have been all along, not part of Bush's feckless miltary adventures." That he simply cannot commit any longer to our troops dying needlessly for a war Bush started and that he inherited.

Kind of the same thing with the liberals. They could never make up their minds if Bush was Cheyney's mindless puppet or if he was the Darth Vader master conspirator of the modern world.

I opt for (1) as the more likely situation. He's over his head and is trying to find a way out that extracts no political price.Making the tough decisions is a little harder than sitting around bitching about and undercutting the other guy isn't it.

And, BTW, where are the Republicans? Why aren't they putting on some heat? I know they are busy with healthcare, but the Democrats managed to fight Bush savagely on every single thing he did.

And now you see a lot of liberals almost kind of applauding what the White House is doing to Fox News, which I think is distressing."

We (the ones who did not vote for him) knew this and recognized him for what he is but he was only seen as a black man for most and that got him elected. I don't mean for this to sound racist but it is the truth. So many were blinded by white guilt and he was the only way for the progressives (socialists) to get their foot in the door of the White House. It didn't take much to do some research - it was all out there but so many just did not want to see it for what it was - and now America is suffering.

I pray for our soldiers around the world and for this country. I truly believe he is siding with the muslims. There is a time in your life when you are truly swayed especially when you are young and that time for him I believe was when he was a child introduced to islam. It stayed in his heart and he can say whatever he wants (he lies) but his heart lives in islam.

Well well well.

The military was willing to play live and let live with Obama. Between his refusal to admit that the Fort Hood shooting was Muslim terrorism, the ongoing Afghanistan problem, and now this, he's going to have a very large majority of the US military no longer believing that the National Command Authority has their best interest at heart. I cannot and will not predict the short term effect of that, but long term is nothing good. We're already a statistical minority in American society, and when you get an angry isolated minority with all the major weapons systems, you get the Praetorian Guard. Not good for the survival of the Republic, but depending on who is making the decisions, might be necessary for the survival of the people so we can later re-establish a Republic.

Remember a month ago when I said I would support Petraeus in 2010, and everyone jumped my shit for "talking unconstitutionally", and I said that it might be necessary by '10? Uh, yeah, how's that prediction looking now? In 2010 we'll be lucky if something really big and Muslim-made hasn't blown up on our shores, and I'll open the betting now on the date of the last helicopter out of Kabul.

My only question now is will it be better for McChrystal to stay in place or make a principled resignation.

I am going to guess that McChrystal's closest 50 team members average 20 years of service, for a combined 1000 years of dedicated, focused, almost obsessive attention to the details of warfighting.  The Dilletante-in-Chief is going to pull out his Lecturer's red pencil and correct their work?

Jimbo is right about the fixers, who are clearly telling Obama that he can't make pass healthcare if he makes this decision.  If he does what he really wants, the re-branded cut and run of Sheriff Joe Biden, conservatives and independents will go berserk on the Blue Dogs and they will kill #hcr to save their seats.

Gen McChrystal made a request;  Obama has responded.  I would love to see Gen McChrystal turn this request back around in 24 hours.

The explaination is obvious: Europe can't afford a strong military and now we can't either. Making a commitment would mean more guns and less butter for lazy Democrats.

It occured to me that this might very well be the primary reason Obama's dicking around on this--let's face it, we are right on the cusp of going over the debt ceiling, and the situation is not getting any better.  Cash 4 Home Clunkers was both extended AND expanded to second-time buyers, states are bleeding tax revenue like an anemic at a vampire convention, unemployment bennies were extended to two years, his advisors are telling him to pass a second "stimulus" next year (although it won't be called that), and he's getting ready to pass a health care bill that will put an even greater financial burden on the country.

Obama needs to shit or get off the pot, but financially, he's in a bind.  Sending more troops to Afghanistan for an Iraq-type strategy would almost certainly push the nation's debt over the ceiling, but then again, so would pulling out--it costs A LOT of money to shut down an American military base, and just closing our operations in the Afghan bases and Manas AB alone could run into the tens of billions.  Granted, Congress could raise the ceiling and he could make that final decision, but there's already a lot of bad will being generated by all the deficit spending, and doing so would likely lose the Dems the House and even the Senate.

So President Waffle kicks the can down the road and hopes for a Hail Mary of some sort so he doesn't have to make a hard decision and potentially send his ratings even lower.  I agree with the assessment that if an option existed that only pissed off conservative Republicans he'd take it, but such an option doesn't exist.

225 I think it's time for top generals like McCrystal and Petreus to start resigning.  Once out, they can speak freely about what a Douchebag-in-Chief we have.

Our 'worst fears', huh?  I see and hear people trying to pretend that they were giving The Obamunist the benefit of the doubt and I just don't get it.

Why?  He didn't deserve the benefit of the doubt eighteen months ago and he doesn't deserve now.  This man, this person, is a low-life, socialist, marxist scumbag.  Always has been always will be.  Period.

The people on the 'right' have seen it all along.  The people on the far left have seen it all along.  The left-wingnuts knew who and what he was from the get-go and they LOVE him for it.  True Conservatives knew what and who he was from the get.

The people in between?  I call them sheeple.  They're just too stupid or too lazy to think for themselves.  All the evidence was there.  His Mother, his father, Frank Marshall Davis, his grandfather, the Right On Right Reverend Right On Wright, Bill Ayers, Bernie Dorhn -- Dozens more.  It was all laid out for them.  Right there, in front of thier eyes.  All they had to do was look.

And yeah, we can shift blame and say it was the LSM's fault but that's bullshit.  Anybody with access to a computer, anybody with Cable TV, anybody capable of locating Fox News with their remote control, anybody that had a friend, co-worker, relative -- Whatever -- Who KNEW about this dirtbag had every opportunity to learn about this guy.

But they either chose not to or were just too stupid to believe the truth.  I've said it before on this board, the American People deserve this guy.  The American People deserve the Government they're getting right now.  We deserve to be led down the primrose path, oblivious to the destruction these marxist dirtbags are causing.

When 53% of the American People are so stupid, so naive, so intellectually lazy to vote for a dirtbag like we've got now?  Fuck 'em.  They deserve it.

And you know what else?  I think he's got a good chance at being re-elected.  Yes, Virginia.  Wake up, the American People really are that stupid.

Another war the democrats will run away from.  And another group of people that will have been stabbed in the back by democrats.  An entire region -- Gone.  And, oh?  They'll balme it on Bush while dodging thier own culpability and responsibility.  They always have.  They always will.

And the 'sheeple' will buy it lock, stock and barrel.  Especially with the LSM running interference for them.  They always do.  Wonder when the first TV special will come out blaming Bush for all this?

Oh well, just remember, "He Who Tells The People What To Think Does Not Need To Be King."

So now Colin Powell is giving Jugears advice on Af-Pak: dither all you want, it's for the best.

That explains a lot...

228 Democrats love to hide as Republicans - thus RINOs (Republican In Name Only).

ObaMao has just proved that he is a CICINO (Commander-In-Chief In Name Only).

Hasn't he done something, _anything_, we can impeach him for yet?

What a maroon - and 52% of America were blind lemmings over the cliff.

Heh - America is now what the Godfather movies would have been like if Frido (Fredo?) had become Godfather, instead of Michael.

229 I say we have a meeting to discuss and schedule future meetings on this subject.  I expect a vey robust debate on the dates available, and who we may ask to attend.

What about the story run by the AP this morning?  Says Karl Eikenberry, U.S. ambassador in Kabul, is a former Army general who commanded troops in Afghanistan.  Has the ear of He-Who-Votes-Present..."questions the wisdom" of increasing U.S. presence due to unstable Afghan political situation.  It says he has been involved in the War Room discussions, and indicates he may have had influence on the latest INdecision.

How close is Eikenberry to Obama?  Why is he in opposition to Generals McChrystal and Petraeus? Can we get an update/more info on this?  Uncle Jimbo?

As a former officer of the PPCLI,i'm glad that i've missed Afghanistan. How can you lead men on a hill fight, and then give back after death and casualties.Plus, not having the proper support, plus not having occupational support.

Remember Joe Clemons, the unfortunate commander in charge of storming Pork Chop Hill, resulting in needless casualties in that dreadful war in Korea. Then, the aweful shit sandwich,he was served in Vietnam. He was a true hero that was abused by politicians.

You folks have a Precendent and Coward in Chief, that belongs in the Hall of Shame.

233 This is easy peasy. Obama just calls up Europe and gets them send in more troops to help.

Wasn't that the bill of sale we were promised? That he could get more help from Europe?
