| President B. Hussein Obama: Let's Not "Jump to Conclusions" on Hassan, But Oh, By the Way, Those "Tea-Bag People" are "Extremists"Keeping an eye on the real terrorists (that would be you). Mr. Obama, during his private pep talk to Democrats, recognized Mr. Owens election and then posed a question to the other lawmakers. According to Representative Earl Blumenauer of Oregon, who supports the health care bill, the president asked, “Does anybody think that the teabag, anti-government people are going to support them if they bring down health care? All it will do is confuse and dispirit” Democratic voters “and it will encourage the extremists.”Maybe if Janet Napolitano hadn't been spending so much time scrutinizing "tea-bag people" she could have connected the dots on the worst domestic terrorism since 9/11. Barack Obama and his cronies are the most cynical political strategists and tacticians we've had in the White House since the Nixon Administration. Possibly more so. This Administration calculates literally EVERYTHING that it does politically based on an "us vs. them" mindset intended to keep the base fired up and to demoralize the other side. While trying to present to the majority of people who don't follow politics daily or for some even weekly or longer a moderate face. Only problem is it isn't working. Too bad huh?

Happily, thanks to the ridiculous health care vote on Saturday night, this punk-ass mofo has managed to become the first president ever reduced to irrelevancy before his first year has ended. All it will do is confuse and dispirit” Democratic voters “and it will encourage the extremists.” From reading the financial blogs, a lot of "Democratic voters" are mighty pissed with this bill, because they see it as helping the insurance companies by dumping another 47 million customers in their lap and guaranteeing rising insurance premiums. Democratic voters wanted single-payer, government-run health care and the abolishment of the entire health insurance industry, not the mangled crapstew that Pelosi pushed through so she could say she got the "win." The beautiful part of this bill is that if it does manage to pass the Senate, once it's implemented it will be so horribly mismanaged, wasteful, and inefficient that the government is going to be forced to pass "Cash 4 Home Electronics" or some other superficial distraction in order to keep people from realizing that letting the government take over every aspect of your life isn't always peaches and cream. That is, before the whole system collapses, because the government is throwing itself into futher hoc to Uncle Hu to pay for healthcare for hundreds of millions of people (eventually) on top of all the other debt and obligations that are going to come due. Radical Imam Praises Alleged Fort Hood Shooter, Urges Muslims to 'Follow in Footsteps' The personal Web site for a radical American imam living in Yemen who had contact with two 9/11 hijackers is praising alleged Fort Hood shooter Maj. Nidal Malik Hasan as a hero. The posting Monday on the Web site for Anwar al Awlaki, who was a spiritual leader at two mosques where three 9/11 hijackers worshipped, said American Muslims who condemned the attacks on the Texas military base last week are hypocrites who have committed treason against their religion. Two U.S. intelligence officials told The Associated Press the Web site was Al Awlaki's. They spoke on condition of anonymity to discuss intelligence collection. Anwar said the only way a Muslim can justify serving in the U.S. military is if he intends to "follow in the footsteps of men like Nidal."

Maybe it's a myth that there was some time in our hallowed past when the political parties had more in common than they do now; that the vision of America's future was shared, and that most of our differences stemmed from how we were to get there. Democrats and Republicans differed on means and not ends, in other words.
Maybe that was never the case, but it is certainly not the case now. In fact, it often seems to me that America is slowly fracturing into two large pieces (and many smaller ones). One is the liberal/urban/coastal/big-government nexus; the other is the rural/religious/libertarian/conservative nexus. These two groups no longer seem to have much in common; in fact, their goals for the nation seem to be polar opposites. It's a simple statement of fact that many liberals consider conservatives to be a greater enemy now than Al Qaeda, and that in their firmament Rush Limbaugh is more hated than any criminal or terrorist you can imagine. At some point, this government is simply going to cease to function in any meaningful way (if we have not already reached that point). At that point...well, who knows? It will all come to tears, I fear. Posted by: Monty at November 09, 2009 01:59 PM (4Pleu) 38

Loathing these people more and more every day that passes. I remember George Bush always speaking respectfully about his opponents, that he knew there would be another side that would disagree with what he was doing, and that they deserved a voice and a say. He got a lot of credit for that didn't he? 8 years of incessant hatred and vitriol from the Democrats and the media. Now the shoe is on the other foot, and 50% or more of the nation is in complete disagreement with what the Democrats are trying to do, and they are rushing like maniacs to shove it down our throats. If we barf it up, they'll try to feed the vomit back to us with a spoon, piece by piece, and do so gladly. Posted by: RM at November 09, 2009 02:01 PM (GkYyh) 41

For over 40 years, I was never considered an extremist. I was considered a conservatist... that is..until Obama took office. A man who is a lifelong Muslim, who decides that he doesn't want to kill radical Islamics and terrorist, but instead decides he wants to kill his own soldiers and countrymen, and we should not jump to conclusions? Princeton defines terrorism as "(the calculated use of violence (or the threat of violence) against civilians in order to attain goals that are political or religious or ideological in nature; this is done through intimidation or coercion or instilling fear)" So I guess in Obama's mind, since these were soldiers that were killed, then it wasn't terrorism? Especially since he hasn't visited the base? Yet those who choose to exercise their First Amendment right, and disagree with socialism. increases in taxes, and loss of freedom of choice or simply disagree with the current administration are terrorists for simply using their voice? Yet a Lobbyist, an individual hired to promote the views of a group, organization, company or industry on measures under consideration by Congress, are considered part of our government and Congress and that is okay? Those who choose to follow socialism are only as free as the party leashes that are on their necks. I mean, why do they call conservative Democrats "blue dogs"? "To compel a man to furnish funds for the propagation of ideas he disbelieves and abhors is sinful and tyrannical." - THOMAS JEFFERSON, Virginia Statutes of Religious Freedom, 1779 "Without Freedom of Thought, there can be no such thing as Wisdom; and no such thing as public Liberty, without Freedom of Speech." - BENJAMIN FRANKLIN; The New England Courant, July 9, 1722 Posted by: Steele at November 09, 2009 02:17 PM (BQApT) 90

Fuck you Barry. What an utter anti-American piece of shit he is.
What The Quietman said. I utterly agree. In addition, President and Mrs. Bush have a long, long history of quietly visiting victims of tragedies-and requesting no publicity. Other people leak it against their wishes, because they truly do not want to "glorify themselves." Back when he was Governor of my beautiful, former state, he attended the church services for the victims of the Wedgwood Baptist Church murders. (A misunderstood man went into a Wednesday night service and started shooting the people in the church. Several friends died in that shooting.) He sat in the back, and waited for the service to finish, and then went through the receiving line to give his condolences to the family members. He then quietly left. The reason we know is that the family members wanted the public to know he was there for them. In spite of his problems, (and who among us doesn't have them, and certainly don't have them displayed for the world to see every freaking minute of the day) GWB was and is an honorable man. I am sorry the office isn't being given the honor it deserves currently. Much as I despice this fuckstick, he is accurate to call them "tea bag people." Teabaggers is the slang, and derogatory. But as I recall the tea parties, more than a few folks made a big show of holding up teabags. It made me wince when I saw that, and the futility of dumping a box of teabags of a bridge was even worse. Sadly, sometimes we on the right need a savvy publicist. There will be those who, fueld by bigotry, will jump to conclusions. These small minded, racist fools will claim that Islam and a mosque were the primary drive behind the horrible shooting at Ft. Hood. As a professionally trained journolist, it is my duty, no, dare I say, my higher calling to stop this type of conclusion jumping. Funny how eggmcmuffin is wishing for terrorist attack. Yup it's liberal projection as always. Remember when liberals complained whenever Dick Cheney brought up the War on Terrorism as a reason to vote for George Bush? Their "howling" was only because it really did help George Bush. Posted by: chemjeff at November 09, 2009 02:45 PM (PhN4p) Remember when Bill Clinton sniffed that if he'd had a 9/11 on his watch, he could have shown his Presidential greatness as well or better than Bush? Obama at least has one thing right -- Conservatives will continue to be painted as antigovernment as long as conservatives continue to sing the 'small government' mantra.
Small government is the result of effectively designed, individually driven Social MarketPlaces (for health care, education, transportation, etc). Small government for the sake of small government is a political DEAD END. You can't get to small government just wishing it were small, one has to define common sense ways for societies various SOMPs to operate on an individually driven fashion without leaving those in need behind. It can be (but isn't being) done... There is one thing that the Democrats have figured out -- modern civilization and society is based upon effective Social MarketPlaces (SOMPs). SOMPs can designed towards individual, families, extended families & communities, privately operated, to regional and national government programs. The Democrats are heavily invested in nationalizing/socializing the various social marketplaces they can get their hands on. This isn't because that's the best way to run SOMPs, but socialized SOMPs provides them with a strong foundation to maintain their powerbase. With conservatives having no clear message on SOMP and their designs, moderate and liberal Republicans tend to be easily swayed towards more and more centralized SOMPs. It's not moderates who are at fault here so much as it is conservatives who haven't first educated themselves about SOMPs and then spread their small government SOMPs to others. Expect the trend towards more collective SOMPS and bigger government so long as conservatives leaders continue to lack a recognizable position on small government SOMPs. It's not that people want socialized medicine, it's that conservatives in general are clueless about the need to organize and articulate a message about small governmnet SOMPs.
