The same is not the case with Christianity, Judaism, Hinduism, Shitoism, Buddhism, or any other world religious faith. This is why I always say that Islam presents a special threat to the Western style of Westphalian liberalist government. The two systems simply cannot function together in any meaningful way: they are ideologically opposed. That's why Muslims in America are indeed that: Muslims living in America, not American Muslims. A Muslim's first (and some would say only) fealty is to family, Islam and the Ummah.

This country is in the jaws of a terrible trap, and unfortunately it is a trap of our own making. We have spent so much time over the past several decades in santifying various victim groups -- women, blacks, gays, unions -- that we have lost the ability to call a true enemy as such.

I know what the FBI agent is saying, but I have a different take.  State of mind = mental health.  At the extremes - sane/happy/well adjusted/etc vs crazy/disturbed/etc.  Islam does not create crazy/disturbed/etc states of mind in its followers.  Rather it re-enforces a feeling of sane/happy/well adjusted/etc by its adherents when they faithfully follow its (Islam's) dictates of jihad/killing infidels.
