| Gibbsy: Can You Imagine If People Were Carrying Posters With Hitler On Them 5 Years Ago?Well Bob-O, I don't some much imagine it as I do remember it. "I will continue to say what I've said before. You hear in this debate, you hear analogies, you hear references to, you see pictures about and depictions of individuals that are truly stunning, and you hear it all the time. People -- imagine five years ago somebody comparing health care reform to 9/11. Imagine just a few years ago had somebody walked around with images of Hitler. Hopefully we can get back to a discussion about the issues that are important in this country that we can do so without being personally disagreeable and set up comparisons to things that were so insidious in our history that anybody in any profession or walk of life would be well advised to compare nothing to those atrocities."Follow the link to the Weekly Standard for some reminders of just how often the left invoked Hitler. Given that there's a little more than 3 years left in this administration I think it's safe to paraphrase Chief Brody and say, "We're going to need a bigger memory hole". Comments1

BTW asshat you ever heard of Larouche? F it why bother, this is just purposeful lying in order to advance a political point. He knows that it was used the entire Bush presidency, he is simply trying to tie all protestors and people that do not agree with healthcare to nutjobs carrying Hitler signs. It is the same shit they said about the townhall protestors. There is no way I believe he is dumbfounded by Hitler imagery considering what party he is a member of. The one with a picture of dead Jews for sure, but the only people who would find the rest objectionable are brain dead Obamabots who freak out over any criticism of him, like say, Chuckles and his band of freakish cult members who got a hat tip for some of the pictures.

Gibbs is right on this one. (As for those depictions of Bush, that was mainly a likening to Charlie Chaplin. Notice the scowl of personal anger juxtaposed beneath an optimistic Chaplin moustache, expressing America's need that Bush would cheer us up after the terrorist attacks in 2001. These features were coupled with a Hindic cross on his arm, meant as an Indian blessing to convey good will toward the president. And the "McHitler" moniker was an amalgam of McHale, as in Joel McHale from The Soup on E! with the names Little and Cutler, certainly referring to former running back Floyd Little and then-current quarterback Jay Cutler of the Denver Broncos. This was the way detractors of Bush's administration respectfully said how much they loved him like they love Joel McHale but wished that he'd be more successful like the Broncos were with John Elway. It's obvious! What else could it all mean?) Posted by: FireHorse at November 06, 2009 06:50 PM (Vl5GH) 58

What goes on in Vegas, stays in Vegas....most the time! Las Vegas - Metro Police officers made arrests for “prostitution-related activity” Friday afternoon at a famous Casino Resort Hotel Pool, which resulted in the hotel-casino’s decision to close the pool. A Metro spokesman said officers in plain clothing did a routine enforcement operation at the topless pool Friday and arrested 11 people. The spokesman didn't release the names of arrested, but did indicate one of the males arrested runs a famous military blog. He spoke on condition of anonymity due to the ongoing investigation. It's a slow night and i've read a lot of blogs. A lot of mention of high powered weapons, President O'Dumbo, Botox, and dirty Harry. Me thinks the shooting war is closer than most think or want to believe. Can I become a trainer, I have a different attitude about people I hate. Never kill the one who wronged you. Find out who they love the most and kill them. Make sure the one you hate knows why they died. (Got this idea from an old gangster movie) If I was a democrat congress critter I'd consider moving my family to Cuba for protection and a better life than what will be left with in the U.S. long before President O'Dumbo totally destroys it. Just sorry I'm too old to participate. #242, I choose #2 for D.C. Bob, and for every democrat, aka Marxist, politician in the country. Posted by: Scrapiron at November 06, 2009 11:41 PM (GkYyh) 245
I have recorded a three part series on the Military Channel called the "Color of War". It's about the pre war, (WWII), war and the after war. It has unseen footage of Hitler in his most glorious days before things turned south on him. One of the color footages of him is at an elementary school where the school kids have made up a song that they are singing to him about what a great leader and savior of Germany he is. Sound familiar? Gibbs should get out more or watch more history on TV. He has reached a point in my life where I don't believe ANYTHING he says. Thats a bad place to be as the President's spokesman.
