| CNN: Seriously, We're Begging You, This Election Was Not About Our Boyfriend At AllStop saying mean stuff about him or he'll kick your azz!! bc he is tuff and he is a football hero and u shut up!!! kthxbai.Victories in New Jersey and Virginia Tuesday provided a major shot in the arm for the Republican Party heading into the 2010 elections, but the Democratic losses of these two governorships should not be interpreted as a significant blow to President Obama.Should not be. We're warning you. While the economy and jobs were the chief concern for voters in both states, 26 percent of New Jersey residents said property taxes was also a major issue, while another 20 percent mentioned corruption, according to CNN exit polling. In a similar CNN survey taken in Virginia, health care was the most important issue for 24 percent of the voters, while 15 percent named taxes and transportation was mentioned by 7 percent.Ah, the top concerns were merely the economy and jobs; those have nothing at all to do with President Peter Principle. And taxes and corruption? Pshaw! Even less to do with the socialist Chicago machine pol. Further proof that this election was not solely focused on Obama, 56 percent of Virginians said that the president was not a factor when it came down to their vote. In New Jersey, that number increased to 60 percent of the people who went to the polls on Tuesday.Yes, only 44% and 39% considered the election to be a referendum on Obama in those two states so of course it was not a referendum at all. now shut up and stop talkin shit or i swearz I will take u outside the quad and beat u up!11!! hez TEH ROXXOR and i love him so much it hurtz Via the perspicacious Slublog. What I posted in the George Steppinfetchit Stephinie Stuffitinhisanus whatever the fuck his name is: They can spin this all they want, but they are smart enough to know what's going on. Remember when the tea party movement started and they all said it was all astroturfing? They knew better then too. We haven't seen Obamacare pass yet, have we? They are trying to sway the opinion of the uninformed with their spin, but, thanks to their own actions, more people than ever are paying attention. We've got them on the run so let's keep up the pressure. Posted by: Countrysquire at November 04, 2009 02:21 PM (e910j) 7

ONLY 44 % listed the President as a factor while voting for GOVERNOR. Ummm.......as a long time voter, I can honestly say that the how I felt about the President has never had ANY bearing on who I voted for as governor of my state. This is looking really, really bad for the Dems.

All the power is at the federal level, governors don't count anymore but congressmen do and the Democrat won in CD-23. That's all that matters and Sarah Palin is toast. Obama let McDonnell and Christie win to be magnanimous like when a basketball team lets the special education challengers score a few points.

After reading the Anchoress' post on NY-23, it ocurred to me that it might be a good idea to read up on Mr. Owens. So, off I went to his Wiki site, his campaign web site, and did a quick search for his position on abortion.
Good heavens, the Dems went off the deep end to recruit this guy. He's far to the right of Dede, mum on abortion (he's Catholic), negative towards gay marriage (ok with civil unions), opposes the "public option", etc. He's certainly not a conservative on economic/labor issues, but the astounding thing to me is the willingness of the Left clench their teeth and vote for Owens. No wonder Dede had so many supporters that considered Owens their second choice. Posted by: mrp at November 04, 2009 02:27 PM (HjPtV) 18

CNN and Mr. Obama are very similar in ideology and politic beliefs they strongly believe that only the minority of the country (Elite, Progressives, Media, Hollywood) count. “Tingle legs” Christy is the perfect example of know nothing blind devotion to this administration. They provide cover for his errors and distractions from his failures without thought, logic or honesty. They are positive that the people are too stupid to recognize their lack of creditability or integrity or as hopelessly in man love with the “One” as they. They don’t look at there falling ratings and multiple polls saying that he and they are rapidly becoming a punch line in many conversations, even by some of their fellow elitists.

Yeah, listening to El Rushbo mock CNN's frantic attempts to spin the election results was better than most stand-up. The finisher was Rush re-playing his predictions from yesterday on what CNN was going to say if the Republicans won he played the CNN clips, and then they said what he said they would, near verbatim! It's why the SCM is tanking, they are obvious and predictable to (and past) the point of parody.

Electorate to Obama:
It's not you, it's me. I'm just not ready for unicorns and skittles. No, really, you're great and I wouldn't trade these 10 months for anything, but I feel like I need something else. Don't worry, though. I think you'll make some country a great president some day. Hey, what about Kenya? You've always liked Kenya and they're crazy about you. Yeah, I know my new guy is fat and went to a weirdo religious college, but he values communication and that's something we lacked. I just never wanted health care, but you just wouldn't give up. We did have some great speeches together, though, didn't we? Good times. Good times. Posted by: AmishDude at November 04, 2009 06:45 PM (T0NGe) 60
