Teachable Moment: Rather Than Watching Election Returns, Obama Watches... Documentary About Himself and His Historic Win and How Generally Wicked-Awesome He Is

And that documentary was named "V."

No, but really, he watched the other Obama documentary on last night, the one on HBO.

"This election is not about Obama," Gibbs tells us.

Dude, seriously? What the hell happens in Obama's blessed life that isn't about Obama?

Genius Christmas! How long is this malignant narcissist going to stroke himself over the single accomplishment on his adult resume? How many victory laps is this guy going to take? At what point is he going to stop admiring his splendor in the mirror and start taking a hard look at the unemployment numbers?

More: 11 more school songs praising Obama found.

Thanks for both to Breitbart's twitter feed.

3 I want to believe that they only said that because they believed they were going to lose NJ and Virginia and are trying to distance him from those races.

But...if that were the case, they would have said he wanted to spend time with his family or something.

23 From HotAir:

Bloomberg’s meager five-point win left Democrats pondering what might have been if New York’s Democratic donors hadn’t turned their back on Thompson, if its politicians had worked for him, and most of all if President Barack Obama had offered anything more than the lamest words of praise.

"Maybe one of those Corzine trips could have been better spent in New York. Who knows?" remarked New York Rep. Anthony Weiner, who weighed his own run for mayor, referring to the White House’s devout attention to the New Jersey contest.

"Maybe Anthony Weiner should have manned-up and run against Michael Bloomberg," shot back a White House official, who attributed the night’s results across the board to anti-incumbent fervor.

So...the White House watched themselves on TV and blamed angry Tea Partiers for...NYC election results.

71 Ozymandias
by
Percy Bysshe Shelley

I met a traveller from an antique land
Who said: "Two vast and trunkless legs of stone
Stand in the desert. Near them, on the sand,
Half sunk, a shattered visage lies, whose frown,
And wrinkled lip, and sneer of cold command,
Tell that its sculptor well those passions read
Which yet survive, stamped on these lifeless things.
The hand that mocked them, and the heart that fed.
And on the pedestal these words appear:
'My name is Ozymandias, King of Kings:
Look on my works, ye mighty, and despair!'
Nothing beside remains. Round the decay
Of that colossal wreck, boundless and bare
The lone and level sands stretch far away

76 61 One question, though... I Owe-bama thinks he's so damn hot, why'd he married Worf?

This is a question that many successful men ask themselves, not stopping to reflect that the only reason unambitious nebbishes like themselves became successful was because their wives nagged and pushed them into it.  They make the mistake of believing that their success proves how awesomely intelligent, powerful and wise they must have been their whole lives, when an objective reading shows that their wives at some point gave them the ultimatum to quit screwing around and actually accomplish something.

92 Well I hear that the Dems are ramping up to focus on job creation........................sophistry.

The Democrats that now run the show cannot seriously believe that they can create........jobs.........under their freshly "changed" system unless of course they are going to provide government jobs for 2-3 million people, which is the "ONLY" way that the government can actually create a job in this "fair" economic world that they are trying to inflict upon us.

I don't want a government job, I want to create and run my own company and be my own master as my father before me did his entire life.

All the Democrats can do is promise Unicorns and lollipops while blow wind up our skirts on how the average Joe can produce and reap the rewards for their efforts in creating our own small buisnesses while this administration does it's level best to crush us to death.

I'll go Gault before I take their government job(and that is the only way they can create a job), to me, when one is forced to go that route, it is like slipping on those collars in the movie Minority Report...........It's over.

Thank God we got a small glimpse of what is coming in the next round of elections last night, no matter what the media and Democrats try to convince themselves and the masses on how it meant nothing, I can see the first waves of a Tsunami gathering force and the carnage will be beautiful.

96 "From our perspective we won last night," Pelosi told reporters.

This reminds me of the speech that Emperor Hirohito gave over the radio to the Japanese people after the bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki. Relevant quote: "Despite the best that has been done by everyone -- the gallant fighting of the military and naval forces, the diligence and assiduity of Our servants of the State and the devoted service of Our one hundred million people, the war situation has developed not necessarily to Japan's advantage, while the general trends of the world have all turned against her interest."

Not necessarily to Japan's advantage. On the upside, those nuclear explosions really opened up new areas for urban redevelopment.

Why would he need to watch the broadcast of the documentary - I am absolutely certain he got to see and comment on it ahead of time? Hell, he probably has an AVID setup in the West Wing to make his own edits.

The linked article says that he did in fact get to watch the documentary before it aired.  Were it anything but a tonguebath I'm sure he'd have ordered edits, and HBO probably would've complied.

Not only did he watch an advance screening, he watched it again last night.  Don't worry though- HBO will no doubt be airing re-runs, giving Obama many more opportunities to re-watch a show about his favorite subject.

With all due respect Ace, he has three:

State Senator

Of course, the real accomplishment for these positions comes from what you do after you've won the job.  To date:

State Senator - Voting "Present"
U.S. Senator - Running for POTUS
POTUS - Blaming GWB and still voting "Present"

119 A Presidential Address On The Occasion Of The Massive Crap I Took This Morning

My fellow Americans,

I'm sure you will join with me this morning in contemplation of the huge pile of human shit in the box on my desk. I overate somewhat yesterday -- breakfast burritos, Mexican for lunch, and prime rib and a baked potato for dinner -- and unloaded a truly epic dookie this morning. It was a masterful performance, and I felt that the occasion should not pass without me marking the event with you, my beloved countrymen.

Yes, you may say, "it's only a pile of shit, Barry!" And so it is. But what shit! A heft, a stench, a texture all too rarely found in any dump nowadays, whether from the most high-born of asses or from the lowest. While my Secret Service detail was scooping it from the bowl, one mentioned that he hadn't seen anything quite like it in thirty years on the job. That's the kind of change I bring to the White House!

Still, if it were only a record-setting turd, it would still not merit much more than perpetual storage in the National Archives. No, what makes this pile of meaty chud special is that I was thinking of the American people -- you, my beloved citizens! -- while I was cooking it up in my lower intestine. This box full of loose stool is a physical embodiment of how I feel about my fellow countrymen!

In closing, I hope that everyone shares my joy at this wonderful event. This is an event that can bring the fractured pieces of our country together again. I will be sending Obama's Magical Shit-Box (for so I've named it) on a tour of American schools in the coming weeks as a reminder of what an American of humble orgins can achieve when given the proper motivation.

May God bless all of you, and good night.

If you lived in Obama-land, would YOU ever want to leave?  People just loving you for no reason at all, extolling everything you said as super-brilliant genius, applauding you when you sneezed!  Picture yourself in a boat on a river, with tangerine trees and marmalade skies.  Newspaper taxis appear on the shore, waiting to take you away.  Climb in the back with your head in the clouds, and you're gone.  Barack in the sky with diamonds!

Nosirreebob, you'd never wanna climb off that high, baby.  You'd be toking on the Obama-bong as long as you possibly could, rather than face reality where the meanie nasties point out your inexperience and incompetence and you know deep down that they're right, that you are an imposter. You know that all those crazy promises you made way back when during the campaign love fest, well, that was then and this is now and you can't possibly make good on any of that.  Why break your supporters' hearts with inconvenient truths they don't wanna hear?  Toke on, man, toke on.

Follow her down to a bridge by a fountain, where rocking horse people eat marshmallow pies.  Everyone smiles as you drift past the flowers, that grow so incredibly high.

I love the part with the unicorns.
