| AP CALLS VA FOR McDONNELL; WOMEN, WASHINGTON POST HARDEST HITNo Mas, No Mas: Didn't even go the first round. Now we look for the sweep of lt. gov and AG, and downticket damage as well. And it looks good there, too, says Major Garrett. ABCNews called it too. ... Not too much to say. One word, really: Panic.Virginia Results! No point checking now, but here's the site for later in the night. Right now it's a whomp-ass with 66% McDonnell to Deeds' 33%, but that's with... 2% reporting. Means nothing. Still, this race is generally assumed to be in the bag. What is more interesting are the down-ticket races; will Obama be repudiated in everything from the governor's race down to AG down to purely local delegate elections? Bleg Rectracted: I put out the following bleg earlier: Drew's having trouble getting movies from his camera to his computer. He has a Nikon Coolpix s210. Anyone good at that sort of thing? If so please email me and I'll send you his email so maybe you guys can talk on the phone. Right now I'm withdrawing it, because Drew downloaded some program and he thinks it's working.Comments1

Drop dead simple method is to buy a SD/SDHC card reader. Take the memor card out of the camera. Plug the card into your reader. Plug the reader into your computer. A USB based one is nice. You should now be able to see the card as a drive and copy any images you like.
Posted by: bonhomme at November 03, 2009 06:44 PM (ojSC4) 9
Tell Drew to ask the hottest chick in the room if she can help him get over his technical issues.
"Accidentally" take a photo of her, preferably from a "deep valley" perspective. Post that pic instead of wasting time with a video. But honestly, assuming he has a USB cable, the laptop should be able to find the camera as a hard drive. Open "my computer" plug in the camera, and look for a new drive to come up. Dig down in that drive for the the newest folder & vid, & copy it over. Posted by: krakatoa at November 03, 2009 06:45 PM (mhdbo) 10
Let me help you right here:
1. Plug the camera in 2. Turn the dial to the triangle symbol (or press the button, it looks like a "play" button) 3. Turn the camera on 4. Go to "My Computer." 5. Find the camera and double click in drive. 6. Drag and drop your movies from the camera to whatever folder you save them to. Posted by: BrackaBama at November 03, 2009 06:45 PM (XOhnu) 11

Cnn just said that Rubio will run against Crist if he loses in the primaries, which Rubio has said he wouldn't in at least 3 tv interviews in the past two weeks, one of which i believe was on CNN. Apparently, like Ace pointed out, if conservatives beat moderates in the primaries it is a revolt or civil war, not you know, the democratic process. Virginia broke 52% -46% for Obama in '08 which was exactly the end result nationally. I don't know what you can take out of that but down ticket the Republicans are dominating here. Albemarle county is where UVA, the liberal professors and alot of artisans live so if the Dem's aren't turning out alot of their constituency there then they are in trouble right now. If there is a thermometer that can take the national temperature than I'd say Virginia is it. It looks very good for us in the midterms I'll say. However, I did vote, because, well, we still can. Any ways, I talked to the pollsters, who have your name on a list, and also ask for your ID. I asked them if they had any problems. It's more than ten years past when Gingrich should have been dead to conservatives (or ass-raped in some funny way by them). Letting the class of '94 and the staffs they brought to D.C. with them run the Party, after they didn't do what they were elected to do, is what fucked it up. Gingrich made Obama president.

IRT Newt--Academia has a certain property that you cannot understand until you witness it. After work I went to a lecture on business in China on the campus of William and Mary in Communist Williamsburg (where I could also get some advanced gloating in). The China expert had worked for the Clinton Foundation and was definitely one of Hillary's hires (ahem). To a lecture room full of twentysomething business students as well as professors, she expounded on how quality of life in China vastly improved...under Mao after he siezed power in 1949. She said without irony that she believed we all have a right to life (meaning universal health care) while glossing over the unpleasantness of the Great Leap Forward/Cultural Revolution. My jaw dropped when she railed against the new inequality of China under marketization. When one of the kids asked about real human rights and freedom of expression, she noted that China has freedom of speech with certain restrictions. Like academia. Or marriage. I noted the nodding heads around me and realized that from her perspective at the dais, she was getting the equivalent of a public speaking hand job. I accepted that there is an unjustified confidence in one's inanity that occurs when you're lecturing to, as Rush puts, skulls full of mush.

The Virginia State Board of Elections site that Ace linked earlier is now showing 65 pct of the vote counted and McDonnell leads 85/14 pct! Can that be right??

I'm going to assume that'll go down but is it possible that McDonnell might win with 65%+ of the vote? Posted by: Robert Gibbs at November 03, 2009 08:41 PM (dwwPD) 238

I know I'll be chided for being pollyanna-ish, but I sincerely hope that the President sees this, realizes that his worldview fails to explain this event with any sort of reasonableness, and takes the time to read up on true conservative viewpoints instead of the mad barking of the MSM/academe echo chamber. There's always a chance of someone having an epiphany after reading up on the Founders' views from an honest conservative viewpoint. I really hope he takes the time to honestly research our real arguments and views - such as reading "Liberty and Tyranny" by Mark Levin, or similar. Virginia House of Delegates races:
Current composition is 55 Republicans and 43 Democrats (and 2 vacant seats). The Republican candidate knocks off the incumbent Democrat in 3, possibly in 21, probably in 32, possibly in 34, it's close in 35, it's close in 41, possibly in 67, and probably in 83. (+8 to GOP at most, +1 at worst.) Republicans about to lose a seat in 52 (non-incumbent) and 93. (+2 to Dems.) Democrats win vacant seat in 69 and 80. (+2 to Dems.) This means that the Republicans will have as many as 61 seats (out of 100) in the Virginia House of Delegates, with the Democrats controlling as few as 39. The worst-case scenario for the GOP is the Dems win all the remaining close races (which is quite unlikely), and the Republicans will still have a majority with 54 seats, with Democrats controlling the remaining 46. As a years of sale jerseys fans,I watched countless jersey store. Therefore I am not only like plenty of cheap jerseys at different times, but also very interested in the cheap jerseys which different players wear when playing the game.
NBA jersey is the one of the most important equipment expert the basketball shoe.It is more standing for a banner of sale jerseys, even a symbol of urban culture than an important sign of jersey store. So I am very concerned about the NBA jersey.Although a lot of NBA jersey،¯s design will be changed, the style of cheap jerseys should be basic fixed. However, the new design just change slightly , doesn،¯t undermine the overall style and characteristics of jersey store. Therefore , as a professional sale jerseys fans should buy jerseys. Posted by: sale jerseys at November 15, 2009 11:02 PM (O2sZu) 326
