Robbers Don't Have Masks, So Like They Draw Masks on Their Faces With Magic Marker 'n Stuff

Smart.

The only way this guy would look less inconspicuous is if he were holding a bloody trident and wearing nothing but AstroGlide and Saran Wrap.

Police arrested this guy (and his bud, his pic back at the link) near the home they'd tried to rob. Police kinda got suspicious about the magic marker villain masks and all.

Which is why villains usually wear masks they can take off after a heist.

See, they didn't get that part. The point of a mask is that you look different during the crime, and then you can also look different after the crime again.

Speaking of masks: Guy invents bra that can double as a face mask.

Cups and strap already there, see? No only that, but the activated charcoal of the mask serves to plump up your sweater pumpkins, too. Kind of a wonderbra that could just save your life.

Thanks to 3rdBird.

Superman had that problem when he first moved to Gotham City.

Soon after Clark Kent moved from Smallville to work as a field sales representative, he knew he'd need a secret identity, so he took a Magic Marker (that's what they called Sharpies back then) and drew a pair of glasses on his face. Two days later, the first time the Superman's super powers were needed, the glasses were still on his face. Something about his super skin's molecular structure and the yellow rays of our sun prevented him from just spitting on his fingers and rubbing them off. Back at the home office, Kent's boss figured he was Superman and quite an idiot to boot.

"Move to Metropolis and start over," he told Clark. "And take up something that's not so taxing mentally. Something like journalism."

I for one admire their resourcefulness, and we must remember that most experiments are failures!

Had this worked, the could have been riding a new paradigm shift in criminal identity obfuscation.

Next, they need to try those blue paint-on facial masks that some women wear. Then when the victims tell the police who robbed them, the "Blue Man Group" gets fingered for the caper and out resourceful ne'er-do-wells are free as a bird.

The bra-mask could be used during such disasters as fires, terrorist attacks, dust storms or a swine flu outbreak, Bodnar said. Indeed, she first thought up the idea while treating victims of the 1986 Chernobyl nuclear disaster as a medical university graduate in her native Ukraine,

Long story short, it was the guy and his parole came to a quick end.

Mike: How does he know there was money in the sack?
Ike: Dude...what else would it be?
Mike: It could be, I dunno, porno mags or something.
Ike: That's just fucking dumb, dude. Who puts porno mags in a sack under their bed?
Mike: I-- I've heard that people do.
Ike: Whatever. Alls I'm saying is, that bag is like full of bucks and it's just laying there under his bed. We can get in, take the sack, and get out in like five minutes. Terry's friend said this guy goes bowling or something on Wednesday nights, so that would be a good night to try it.
Mike: What if somebody sees us breaking in?
Ike: Goddamn, you're dumb! We wear masks. And I'm like already halfway there 'cause I've got a ratty little beard going.

I think, personally, that everyone was convinced that Superman was just mentally retarded and didn't want to hurt his feelings by pointing out how lame his "disguise" was. Kind of like how when a two-year old crouches in plain view in a corner somehwere, and says, "I'm invisible!". Then all the adults go, "Where did little Tommy go? Why, he disappeared!" You don't want to hurt the kid's feelings.

O/T but also humerous, from Yahoo News:

Barack Obama seriously considered picking former foe Hillary Clinton as his vice presidential running mate last year but rejected her because he was worried about controlling Bill Clinton.

In a new book, the US president's 2008 campaign manager David Plouffe reveals the behind-the-scenes calculations as Obama searched for a vice presidential nominee and finally settled on Joe Biden.

"She was competent, could help in Congress, would have international bona fides and had been through this before, albeit in a different role.

"He wanted to continue discussing her as we moved forward," Plouffe wrote.

Despite still bitter feelings over the fierce Democratic primary duel, Obama continued to be intrigued by Clinton as the process progressed, saying she had "smarts, discipline, steadfastness," Plouffe wrote.

But in the end, concern over ex-president Bill Clinton's larger-than-life presence and political maneuvering cost Clinton a chance at the job -- which she had already signaled publicly she did not want.

"I think Bill may be too big a complication. If I picked her, my concern is that there would be more than two of us in the relationship," Plouffe quoted Obama as saying.
