(We were at Purdue for about 7 years just before moving out to SoCal, so the Boilers are an adopted team for us.) Anyway, while we were out Mr. Y-not was talking about how we might get back to Texas. We lived in Houston mid- to late-90s then almost moved to Dallas (went to Purdue instead for my science thing). We think we could handle the miserably hot/humid weather again, but the one thing that we really found discouraging about the Houston area was the lack of nearby natural beauty. Our forays into hill country were a bit disappointing and the distances seem so long in Texas. So that can be wearing. But the people are great and the spirit of the place is, too, so we'll see.
