Has Jon Stewart Embarrassed the Media into Questioning Obama?

Ed Morrissey notes the strange new respect the media has for noting that, um, Obama's kind of lying and stuff.

Jake Tapper, who has been the lone non-Fox-employee willing to question the president, is fighting with some on-line critic about his reporting on Obama's false claim he's not raising taxes, he's just raising "fines."

They're setting the stage now to perpetuate their power by controlling the information that we all consume (newspaper bailouts, FCC regs), the products that we need and the system that we rely on to preserve our healthcare. Obama and Co. are doing this to create a nationalized patronage system where they control (albeit indirectly) ever facet of our lives. This is serious stuff and why so many people are scared to death about the next few years. I know this sounds moonbatty but I don't know what else to conclude. Last weekend, I ordered chocolate Ugg Classic Cardy hoping they wouldn't show marks as much as my beige ugg cardy boots and waterproofed them when I first got them. They look so much cleaner than my old beige ugg boots, I wear my Whooga's all year round, they don't make my feet sweat as much as my older pair.
